After having my reservation changed several times in the week leading up to my rental, this location was able to accommodate my original truck size request. The gentlemen who assisted me at pick-up were professional and expedient; a pleasure to work with. When I returned my vehicle the next morning, I was met with the same professional demeanor by the new staff on duty that day as well. I was delighted to work with the staff at this location on 5th St in Reading. You should be very proud of these employees.

Teach customer service. 4 employees, 1 new trying her best not to cry because the lazy guy kept walking away instead of walking her through the screens to assist us. The other guy trying to help her, finally took over so the manager would stop telling him about how much lower his sales were because he processed so many more propane transactions than everyone else. Then while he is trying to help me, he has to answer the phone too because the lazy guy is too busy flirting with a girl who can't afford to rent anything and doesn't know how many rooms she might be packing. Then when we come back the lazy guy thinks he is cute and wants to charge a cleaning fee. The service wasn't much better last time....from now on I think I will use Home Depot, that guy barely spoke English but he knew how to thank a customer

Normally the experience is satisfactory and I can even overlook the long wait times at the checkout counter. However, this time around, I was billed an extra $50.00 for minor debris inadvertently left in the bed of the pick-up truck. I'm sure it would have taken no more than 2 minutes to clean, yet Uhaul felt it necessary to use their cleanliness calculator and concluded that the debris left behind amounted to not $10.00, not $20.00, but $50.00 more. Pathetic...

Poor explanation of contract agreement details. Obsessed with phone number. Over stated fuel amount and charged me for fuel that I didn't use. I have a signature and photo to confirm.

The staff were very informed, organized and friendly. The person that assisted me was very thorough and made sure I understood the vehicle checkout process. I really appreciated the text message with the link to pictures of the vehicle I was picking up, I think that is an excellent idea. The pictures ensure both the customer and U-Haul have record of the vehicle condition. The truck I rented was in great condition with low mileage. It would be nice if the truck had a USB port, but I bought a 12 volt / USB adapter to charge my cell phone. I have made several one way long distance trips using U-Haul to move my college daughter and have always had a great experience.

Spent 2 hours trying to figure out why the trailer did not work with the break lights. Finally after changing several parts and looking at the truck myself due to the overwhelming customers coming in. Finally found out it was a fuse under the hood. Asked the manger for a discount for the delay and fixing the issues for them I was told when I return the truck that place can do a refund. Well that was a lie so I called to ask them again and no response since.

Made a reservation for a 26’ truck and upon arriving at 6:15 we were told we could not pick it up until 7. So we had to wait 45 minutes on location until we could actually get it. Lousy customer service.

Dylan helped us tremendously. He was excellent. On the phone he helped and in person he corrected the terrible call that took place with Jessica. He handled himself as a manager would and made the customer happy. On the other hand the experience I had with Jessica was terrible. I explained what was instructed to me on the extension of the truck and she didn’t care and stated I would charged for an additional day. I give a good review based on Dylan solely. If I had to deal with Jessica I would never come back.

I was beyond pleased with my experience with UHAUL today. All of the staff was very friendly and professional. It was extremely busy when I returned the truck, but the staff did not appear bothered at all and ran things smoothly.

Inconsistent communication. I had to call like 4x. No discount for moving my pickup location Since i then had to drive farther to pick up my car. Was not allowed to change rate though website offered a different rate that day.

The truck was not in good working conditions and I was charged twice because of the landlord that was to show up at a certain time did not. Called and explained I only had truck for 8 hours. Not happy with this either.

U-Haul switched pick up locations from what I originally picked without notice. Luckily I caught it on my email day prior. When I called and asked what happened, they said they attempted notification call at 530 am.... I had no missed calls or voicemail either way

Hire more help. When trying to call the store directly it goes to a call center instead. Call center says this happens when store employees are too busy to answer their phones.

Overall, a good experience. The biggest problem was the charge for the extra mileage. That was not clear when getting the rental. We should not have to face charges because we moved an hour away! Should be a day's rental fee NOT charge over the mileage. Some people choose to move further away AND do it themselves with the help of a moving truck. How can you dictate the mileage when you are unclear about how much a person has and how far they are moving. We got the biggest vehicle offered at Miners Auto Sale and still had to return to the original house twice!

The people were very nice when they finally got to me. It was very busy and I had to go inside to let them know that I was returning a trailer, no one met me on the lane I was told I would just have to wait while they help others that were there first, which was fine, but I felt they should have a note on the return lane to tell me that so I would not have had to go inside and stand n line to find that out. I would go here again now that I know the way they work here.

Gas gauge was not registering gas correctly. I received with 7/8 of a tank, drove 70 miles and filled the tank with 9 gallons but was still charged for not having gauge read appropriately. I find it hard to believe that the truck I used got less than 7 miles per gallon. I even showed the receipt to the attendant and she said she had to go by the gauge. She offered to let me take it to the gas station to fill again since that would be cheaper than the rate they charge. But, I had to get to my settlement. Terrible experience.

Fire the current manager. I have been a customer there for 10 years. look at my record. I will NEVER rent from there while the current manager and employees are there. I have been renting there for the last 10 years. I have always rented the 24 ft trucks (never once have i rented a 10 ft truck) I am a disabled veteran. When I went to rent the truck the manager told me they did not have any trucks. I asked if she could look in the system where they may have one available and she then said, "well, I have a 10' truck but you can only have it for 8 hours". I said I wasn't happy with that but had no choice so I accepted. I picked up the truck at 8 am and when I was getting ready to load the truck, I discovered it had no ramp. I called the store and asked to speak with the lady who rented me the truck and the employee who answered the phone told me she was not available and asked for my name and number. I gave it to him and he asked what the issue was. I explained that the truck has no ramp and that I am a disabled veteran. he said that the 10 ft trucks do not have ramps. I said I have been renting from there for 10 years and that she should have told me there was no ramp when she rented it to me. the employee said, "well if you've rented from us for many years you should have known better' I hung up the phone and went to the store. It all went very badly from there. Too long to write about here. needless to say, I will not go there again and will discuss what happened and the treatment I received at all my veterans meetings in the area. I will not recommend this place to anyone and will make sure all my veterans know what disrespectful people they have there now. i called to complain and requested someone to call me. They toldf me someone would call me in 48 hours. That was Sunday. Today is Wednesday. Still waiting on a call. i also asked for a copy of the phone call conversation with the store employee who told me I "should have known better" the call was made on Saturday morning March 30th at 9:40 am.

The two staff at this U-HAUL facility were friendly and accomplished the wiring for my trailer hitch in a reasonable amount of time while also serving many other customers while I was there. The facility's little store and customer area is quite small and cramped. But the bays where they work in vehicles to install hitches, etc. are large and seem to be well-equipped.

When I drop the rental I was over charged and misinformed of the drop of time. At pick up I was told that I had to pay an extra $40 for going over the drop of time in which I was told that I had until five in the afternoon to drop of the truck. These people are a joke and all about the money no customer service what so ever.

I lost more than $5,000 dollar in my storage because I cannot pay my rent and the company sold my stuff for less than 300 and send me a bill of the remaining debt of 200+. I old less than $600 dollar
