They told me the gas tank was half full when it wasn't, they charged me for a certain number of miles, and they still haven't refunded my money .

Everything was great. I’m so glad I was able to use a firm to finally go get my furniture in Pennsylvania and bring it to South Carolina with me. I would say the only downside is I mistakenly overfilled the tank and I think they should give you some money back for that. Also, I wanna say having the backup camera is awesome! I never towed a U-Haul before.
I took all the pictures needed before I took it.
One side of the 6 x 12 U-Haul was almost against another U-Haul so I took the best Picture I could. My friend said since it’s empty, it’s going to bounce a lot And. make lots of noise which it did on the drive home loaded the U-Haul way under the maximum weight secured Everything in the back by bungee cords and rope. As I’m driving, it took me a while to get used to towing something but once I got used to it, I was looking out the rearview Side mirror and one tire closest to me was wobbling and I didn’t understand why -it was driving fine But With a little Thumping noise. but when I went to got gas, the next time I looked at the tire and the rim was totally bent dented, and they actually released and let Me drive on a destroyed rim that was unbelievable that happened !!😡I drove the U-Haul almost 900 miles with the tire like that. I am very upset about that they would do that. I did get there safely, which was a good thing, but once I seen the tire wobbling, it scared me the rest of the way thinking what if the tire falls off what’s gonna happen? What if the tire blows out ? When I dropped it off in Manistique Michigan, he couldn’t believe it either that rim and tire was not changed before it was released to a customer.
The inside of the U-Haul was clean except for a bunch of white zip ties attached to the ceiling

I was reprimanded for leaving the truck overnight on uhaul property. I needed my vehicle and wasn't able to get another driver. So I thought it best to leave it where it would be safe but was told there's no overnight dropoff. I didn't consider it an overnight dropoff as I still had the keys. I felt embarrassed and upset that I was spoken to the way that I was and I didn't appreciate it. I won't do business with uhaul again because of this transaction.

Glad I checked before going to another location. $5 a gal for gas is bit much on top of a $30 fee.(it was late and I didn’t fill it so understand to an extent) Plus there’s no way I used 11 gallons of gas in a 30 mile round trip. Pick up went well and gentleman was helpful. However fill up the trucks to full before renting them out. We have no idea how much gas we are going to use so filled it up. There was more in the tank when we returned it than when we got it but did not get any prorating on the gas that was left in the truck...however, if we were to return the truck with less gas that we started with, we would be charged $4.75 for fuel...kind of shitty, don't you think? The lady (long blonde hair) who checked out our truck when we dropped off was curt and rude. She said we went over the mileage by 12 miles and owed $15. We told her about the left over gas in the truck and that should more than cover the $15...she argued with us and finally said nevermind "have a good day" in a snarky tone and walked away. We told her about the passenger side mirror that would move from the wind of driving making it an unsafe truck to drive (mirrors are everything in a truck). Fill up the trucks before you rent them out. Also, I took pics of the truck and my husband took the truck to get gas while I attempted to upload pics (could not do as they had to be taken right away while on the confirmation text. We were not informed of this when renting it out. One should be able to upload the info from their photos...better yet, have an employee actually walk around and take pics with the customer like they do at rental companies.

The vehicle was dirty inside and the windshield was especially filthy. When facing or driving towards the sun, it became difficult to see and when it got darker the headlight glare made it dangerous to drive. I had to stop at a gas station and buy glass cleaner. The vehicle also smelled bad, like an old musty bathroom at a truck stop.
But, its the only one close to my home, so it is what it is.

Staff went above and beyond to be helpful despite the miscommunication caused by notes not taken by the national office when we talked to them. This was thankfully cleared up when we talked to the Reading team when we showed up to dropped off our trailer. They did everything to help us out after our long tumultuous drive up from Georgia.

Mostly I want to commend the staff. I have always appreciated their friendliness and willingness to help. After 3 1/2 years I just moved out of my unit 2 days ago. The fact that I have to use a certain lock that freezes in the winter and broke off two of my keys only for the facility to say they can’t help me it’s my problem.

Major customer service training is needed! The manager/owner should not be in store to greet or deal with people, her condescending attitude is horrific and she is setting her staff up for failure. The lack of leadership and poor customer service are a poor combination for a business that deals with people. You want to create an experience when you come in contact with those that you are doing business with and my “experience” was:

All my belongings had mouse pup all over, the mouse ate my new mop, moving out day was agravering, the man that works they park a truck in the midle and I was waiting for him to MOVED so I can continue driving to my storage unit to removed my belongings he was talking there with the other workers, he saw me there standing waiting for him to moved the truck after tired of waiting I got out of my van and told him to moved the truck so I can continue removed my thjngs out of the storage, finally he did, then Iwas putting the code to open th he gate, and the gate didn't want to open I try 4 times, I saw the man that works there outside I ask him why the gate don't want to open he put a code in to try to open the gate and didn't open, then he realized he park one of the trucks to closed to the gate that the truck was preventing the gate to open, everytime we put the code in the gate was hitting the truck, what a mess!
