Was annoyed that I was told that there would be an additional charge of $25 added if I brought the truck back after hours. Since I knew that this was not a normal policy I inquired why and was told it was a GM enforced policy. I almost did not rent the truck for that day because of the nonsensical addition of this fee. Fortunately it was not assessed to my final bill as I would have disputed this amount with corporate.

No. I was over charged. I returned the rental with more gas then when I picked it up and was charged an additional $33. I was supposed to get a call from uhaul within 48 hours and I never did.

this place need to have a more responsable staff working cause the people in charge in this location have really poor communications skills for being on costumer service field... they rude and don't care about it... i rented a truck for 7:00 am i end up wasting an hour after i had a reservation for 7 i get out of there 40 minutes later with a different truck and i ask for the 50$ “reservation guarantee” and she denied it cause “she solve my problem” even that i wasted my time! then when i went to drop it off they said they open at 9:00am and i was there 8:52AM they came and open the store at 9:19AM! with 7-8 costumers outside in the cold doing a waiting line

The customer service agent that gave me my uhaul van said the gas level was at 7/8 when the van it self only has a gage for 1/4 1/2 3/4 full tank. It was only at 3/4 a tank and when I filled it and returned it with 3/4 I was still charged an extra $12. Complete thievery.

I was over charged. Refused to return the money to my card that they over charged me. Employees and manager were very rude and uneducated. Rented a pickup truck for 5 hours. Somehow got charged a total of 260 dollars when my reservation price was 93$. Never again will i give uhaul my business. Or refer anyone to them. Shady scum bags.

Work on customer service more!!! I had originally made my reservation to drop off my pick up truck on the 25th, but when they realized it was Christmas morning, my boyfriend went to pick it up and they made him change drop off till Saturday which we didn't have the money for. So I feel we were ripped off because money that was going to go towards, food for the house went into your pockets!!!

Timely customer service is needed at this site. Training was also lacking. Employee had to phone someone to walk them through processes. It took 40 minutes to receive the keys to my on line reservation.

I rented a motorcycle trailer from U Haul recently. I reserved one a day in advance from the dealer in Reading. Very easy to work through an online reservation followed up with my towing equipment to save time. The trailer was available at the appointed time. Shana was very helpful and friendly to get me set up and on my way.

Neither of the employees were wearing face masks. It made me feel like they hadn't adequately sanitized the van between customers for covid, so I used my own wipes to sanitize.

The customer service at this location was impeccable. The truck was clean and sanitized. Every single person at this location was friendly and willing to help. However, my feedback does not apply to this specific location, but rather the poor scheduling system Uhaul has. I had a truck scheduled for 8am on Saturday and was only informed at 3:40pm on Friday afternoon that my truck was not going to be available for another 6.5 hours. Why did the scheduling system let me schedule a truck for that time if they knew it was unavailable? Why did Uhaul not contact me sooner than less than 18hrs prior to my pickup time to let me know my truck was not going to be available? I expect better from the scheduling side of things from a company that made a business out of scheduling trucks for rent.

Jessica, an employee at this Uhaul location was highly unprofessional. Harassed me through her personal cell phone number via text message. Made threats to set the rental out for recovery/stolen if I didn't return it by her demanded time. Moving can be stressful enough and unfortunately there were delays and I could not return the rental truck by the intended time, however Jessica, not understanding, refused to be courteous, professional, or kind.

We reserved a truck with a dolly and the customer service rep mentioned that twice. We got 21 mikes down the road and thought “they never checked anything”. So we pulled over and there was no dolly. We go all the way back and they said “oh we tried to catch you before you left the parking lot. A few problems with that. 1- no apology and said it was our fault for not checking. (Oh I'm sorry, the customer making the reservation had to make sure you did your job?) 2- if you realized we didn't have dolly as we left the parking lot you didn't think to call either number we left you? 3- in our return route we called UHAUL customer service and while we got an apology and someone who began to help us, we got cut off. She never called us back and she never called the facility to let them know we were coming back like she insisted she was doing. 4-while getting dolly and exposing to the desk service how far we got she proceeded to explain how when the staff is getting and order processed and customers want to get out of there, that's when things get forgotten. Here's an idea, train your staff to never let stuff go out until they check that everything is there! Every rental place I have ever been dies that until I've been to yours! They did not charge us for the extra mileage we put on as a result but they offered no other form of good measure. You could have given us some discount. It's the principle. We lost an hour of time and had to replan what we were going to do and we still had to pay to fill up the tank. An extra 42 miles was probably a few gallons of gas. We got the important stuff done so I moved on but don't plan on seeing me or anyone I know.

One of the staff went above and beyond when our car wouldn't start. He brought out a portable charger and then his personal car to get us started. I didn't expect to have my car die, but was extremely happy to have one of your staff be willing to help us not be stranded or have to tow my vehicle.

This was an overall TERRIBLE experience. I reserved a 26' truck for a one way haul on October 6th, for our move on October 31. The reservation was made so that i could pick up at 4 pm on 10/30 and keep overnight and return by 4pm on 10/31 at our new location 40 miles away. Fast forward to 10/30...i go to pick up the truck and they tell me i only have it for four hours. I said oh absolutely not. She went and got a manager who proceeded to tell me that they, meaning uhaul, don't do one way overnight trips. I asked why someone would reserve it like that then. She was insistent that they sent me an email and a text message with changes. I showed her both, neither had these changes. She proceeded to tell me that they have a lot of new people in the office and that's why it was reserved wrongly. Quite frankly she was a bitch. I asked her if she was the manager and she said im one of them i said i want a different one. She said well she's gonna tell you the same thing but I'll get her she's the area manager. Out walks the lady i reserved with. I said oh you're the area manager huh? I said i guess you've been here a while too become the area manager. She said what can i do for you. I told her and she said oh it's just a reservation. There are no guarantees. What the f^%k is that? Do you can take all my information, reserve a truck and get something completely different and that's OK. After her kicking my husband out of the store and a 45 minute debate, i received the truck, got it for cheaper, and got Cheaper rates on mileage. I left the facility completely pissed of and insistent on not using UHAUL again. Right now im more interested in saving the people the frustration. But you best believe I'm reporting this shit to corporate. They had me in a corner. I couldn't move without the truck.... they knew that. You have no right to take advantage of people like that. You can't run a business on empty promises and attitudes. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE UHAUL. I don't care if every other company is more expensive. If they keep your reservations properly and treat people with respect they are worth the money. Side note: there were irate customers on the phone when i made the reservation and when i return need the truck there was a lady who was being overcharged for storage and s pissed off customer on the phone. Should have been my first sign....

I made my original reservation three weeks before for a different location closer to my house. Four days before the reservation, U-haul called and told me my truck was not available (after sitting on my money the whole time). Two days later, they called again and said that truck wasn't available either. Then I had to switch to a round trip rental cross state, costing me almost double what my original reservation was. So I go about my business and bring the truck back to the same drop off location at 7am when the store opens (as instructed). Nobody is at the store so after waiting half an hour I check the truck in online. The app tries to charge me another $300 (presumably because it did not see the balance I had from my original reservation, as is evident on my rental contract). So I disputed the charges and dropped off my keys. This company has made the already stressful process of moving even more stressful at every opportunity.

All my belongings had mouse pup all over, the mouse ate my new mop, moving out day was agravering, the man that works they park a truck in the midle and I was waiting for him to MOVED so I can continue driving to my storage unit to removed my belongings he was talking there with the other workers, he saw me there standing waiting for him to moved the truck after tired of waiting I got out of my van and told him to moved the truck so I can continue removed my thjngs out of the storage, finally he did, then Iwas putting the code to open th he gate, and the gate didn't want to open I try 4 times, I saw the man that works there outside I ask him why the gate don't want to open he put a code in to try to open the gate and didn't open, then he realized he park one of the trucks to closed to the gate that the truck was preventing the gate to open, everytime we put the code in the gate was hitting the truck, what a mess!

There was rat feces and urine over half of my belongings that I had to leave, including my queen bed. No one seemed to care. It turned out to be a lost for me. I have to repurchase items.
