Manger Jessica Johnson was horrible . Worst customer service ,at that she wasn't even the one helping us and kept getting mad that her employee was giving us great service . Who gets mad at someone doing their job great ? She was on her phone the moment we got their till the very end . Not even just on the phone she was on FaceTime ! Very loud and ghetto . Which is fine when your not at your job but to act like that at work is beyond me . She even yell at us couple times and cursed . Never again will I go back to this location . I will keep doing business with uhaul but not at this location .

I made a reservation for a 10' ft truck...the est came up to about a $60 charge with everything plugged in but my final receipt showed $89 charge and I drove less miles than I plugged in. Times are too hard to be charged wrong and when I called back they told me my receipt was wrong and never fixed it. Totally unacceptable

There was a storm we were not able to move anything you basically made money off of us when we were not able to complete the task at hand your staff is rude and unhelpful majority of the time with the exception of Terrence This was a horrible experience

I rented a pickup truck on 1/31 the morning after a snow storm. Not only did I have to use my own snowbrush to clean off the truck, but we also had to remove the mounds of snow from the truck bed. No one offered any assistance. Very inconvenient

Excellent customer service... from beginning to end all of the instructions given were exact and user friendly on my phone. Everything went well and my son's move into his first college apartment went very well. Two Thumbs Up Uhaul!! I look forward to doing business with you again. Two Thumbs Up and a huge hug to the young lady that greeted and checked me in on Saturday morning at Torrence Ave/Lansing location. My apologies for not including her name ... she gave me her business card but of course I misplaced it during the move. She was absolutely fantastic!!! She knows who she is.

The store clerk Jessica is rude. She talks over you before you can get out what's needed to be said. Her demeanor comes across she doesn't wants to help. I was stranded in a truck just before returning & she quickly got rid of me without any concerns or any resources for me to be or return equipment safely.

I did not originally rent from the location. I rented from the Bolingbrook on Frontage road location. I got a message to call in and confirm location. I did and they said Bolingbrook was all set. I then got to the location and they told me Calumet City was now the location. That was about an hour away. They kept trying to say they messaged and I kept telling them I have no messages saying a change in location other then to call in, which I did. I even asked the guy I talked to if the location was still Bolingbrook and he said yes. Calumet people were fine, Bolingbrook people were more like it's your problem. All in all not the end of the world but had me driving an hour out of my way between the two locations.

Not accuse the customer of breaking the key box when the damn thing just wasn't working properly. I am intelligent enough to know how to operate a key lock system and to immediately be blamed for its malfunction is not customer service friendly. That instantly set me off so anything nice that was done afterwards was deemed invalid. Next time just apologize for it now working and try to find a resolution.

I rented a truck from this l location, but when i got home it was not enough room to pack all of my stuff on the truck. This stop was only a one stop i had to pay twice in the same day for a bigger truck. No discount very bad service. Never use this location again.

Make sure when you rent a trailer you have someone who no what they are doing hook it up. I had to hook up my trailer after it came undone on the express way.before that I was called by the person that hook me up to bring back the trailer because he rented me the wrong one.and I was still charged for the rental needless to say I lost a long time customer.

No improvements needed. As of Calumet City U-Haul overall, just keep doing what you're doing. I don't normally go out of my way for a review, but i felt the desire to go out of my norm from the great experience provided by one of U-Haul's very own. I worked with Jessica Johnson and she was a delight to work with, despite her being short handed and working multiple registered (pretty impressive if you ask me). She was polite, thorough, easy to speak to, understood her explanations easily, and patient. There was a disgruntled customer ahead of me and it was impressive how well Jessica handled that aggressive situation with kindness and overall great customer service. (can't please them all, but she definitely tried to with this customer). Honestly, I've always hated renting from U-Haul, but Jessica completely turned that 180 with her great customer service. Upon my return, it was simple. She welcomed me back with a smile and a great attitude. Jessica was able to talk me through the final steps to complete my overall experience. In the end, Jessica completely changed my overall rental experience for the better. I'd go out of my way to rent a truck from Calumet City U-Haul versus a location that may be closer from what Jessica was able to provide. Thank you, Jessica!

We reserved a truck but they had none available. They had one that they said wasn't checked in. We had waited 35 minutes to get waited on with only 2 people in front of us, and were told they didn't know how long it would take. It ended up putting us an hour and a half behind when we only had people to help for a limited amount of time. The staff appeared short handed and offered no options ( such as when I called the 800 number she said we could have a 26 footer for the same price). While not outright rude, the staff didn't seem to really care whether we were taken care of or not. Overall it was a negative experience when it did not have to be!! I wouldn't recommend this site!!

My rental smelled of marijuana and was not clean as well as the check oil light stayed on making me very uncomfortable with my ride. This is the second time I've had a bad experience with this particular location.

Although, I was very satisfied with the service I received at this location, I did ask to speak to the manager about how you all have a grown man riding a bicycle to the meet customer to the back of the building. You mean to tell me Uhaul cannot afford to get a golf cart or some other kind of vehicle for its staff? It looked very degrading. I sat there in my car for awhile just observing, and was really disappointed. I use Uhaul quite often, but 1st time at this location. I did write that I would love to refer others to this location, that was because of the quick in & out service that I received. I'll definitely try that location again, because of that. But if I see the same degrading scene again, I will not be back, and will definitely tell others the same.

The manager needs to work on her customer service skills. She was very rude to a customer for misunderstanding what she was trying to say and one of the employees started crying because of the way this manager had been treating her. This was an experience I dint care to ever go through again.

My experience with your U-Haul truck what's scary and round on returning your truck to the River Oaks location on 294 interstate the dashboard indicator lights lit up the check engine light flash on and off and then the truck stopped I put the vehicle in neutral I tried starting it again while on the highway it started and I returned it to the River Oaks location believe it was transmission fluid leaking from the front of the of the vehicle near the bumper I paid my bill I'm 66 years old I did not sign up for this.

That Mg is disrespectful and don't know how to talk to people did read the paper work to me . i thought that the truck was for three day she said she was 📞 the 👮 on me they made a mistake. I rent a trailer first they put it on a different number so I did get that right the person the phone had everything incorate the was made at me The mg was talking bad about the other work to me she charge me for being late plus I mop the truck out and close it and it was hot it small . I had my own dally she charge me for one of my kids pulled it with the TV. This happen 7/6

Only complaint was the entry We had to unload was very BAD... It was 2 staggered BOARDS on ground, at doorway that we tried to push/pull dollies over, and more times than not, many of the times, items fell off The cart. Very difficult moving in......

I lost my locker key and i can't get in my locker they told me to get in my locker i have to pay $50-60 dollar i already spend 300.00 for the mover and the sale man said it. Look live my storages is to small i still got stuff in the truck

Didnt have my reservation despite my emailed confirmation #. Needed to contact manager off-site to walk them thru my order, & needed to give them my credit card 3x. Took 1 hour total just to reserve.
