Was given a faulty van and after roadside assistance was not able to fix the problem we were forced to leave the van parked overnight with the door open and just against a wall. After all the trouble we went trough we were still charged! It's a shame!

I have rented a prior unit in the back building and my brother-in-law has one currently in the front building. I specifically asked for a front unit before I made my online reservation and I was told "yes" the the 4th floor 8x8x8 was in the front building. I asked the same question when I arrived the next day to sign the paperwork. I was again told "yes" but then I was shown the unit in the back building. Going over the hump between buildings causes items to fall off a card and makes moving much more difficult and really unacceptable. I declined that unit and was then given #6000 which I did not inspect. I regret that. That unit had absolutely no light. It is a second rate unit and makes usage much more difficult. I had a helper running a meter at $70 per hour so I gave up and just moved in. This is what I call third rate service. I have rented vans from you and storage units from you and I expect better. You failed me this time. I regret being in your facility. I will not recommend you to others.

I reserved a truck with furniture dolly. The sales rep was rude and lazy . We never received the dolly . After driving miles away we called customer service . This location is known for its poor customer service . We had to move the furniture by ourselves . It was such an unconvinience and discount was not applied . If your employee would stop trying so hard to be rude then maybe she could actually do her job .

The vehicle did not have shocks The truck bounced terribly It was a horrible drive The truck had 94,000 mi on it and it felt like it should have been put to sleep What a horrible truck U-Haul should not rent vehicles that have no shocks It was terrible I'm going to call and complain to the executive office also I did not get credit for the extra gas I put in the vehicle You owe me money I got the vehicle with a quarter tank of gas and I left a half a tank of gas You owe me money and you owe me a backbone What a horrible ride in a horrible vehicle with no shocks You should put this vehicle and probably others to sleep Get it off the road what a horrible horrible drive horrible ride in your vehicle I'm disgusted. The representative at the Riverdale location was wonderful has nothing to do with the terrible vehicle that you rented my father He is still still shaking inside from driving that thing It's terrible that you rent out such wrecks and you charge the money you charge for wrecks like this that have no shocks. And you have no business putting that vehicle on the road, The worst ride ever!

I rented a trailer, I suggest if someone is renting a trailer an email or phone call should go out to them explaining what they will need on their car in order to tow the trailer properly. I needed a belt and ball and the location did not have any for me to purchase therfore I had to waste time, leave go purchase the equipment somewhere and then return to be hooked up

I was extremely frustrated and highly dissatisfied with my experience with the reservation. My reservation was literally split last minute and due to the lack of clear instructions and communication I ended up going to the wrong place even though it was the location told.

Not my style to give feedback but the people I was moving the day of my rental were firm about being on time in Manhattan @ West 34th street at 8am to get a parking spot not only was the person 18 minutes late opening up @ 7:18am then my vehicle was buried 4 deep in a row surrounded by other rental vehicles with no chance to get out by the time I left it was 7:39 am with only 12 miles to my destination I did not make it losing my parking and having to park a city block away to load my vehicle. my 1 hour job turned into a nightmare and what burns me the most using Uhaul for over 30 years I know you really don't care

The staff at this location are very professional and pleasant. The facility is well-maintained. At times (weekdays, evenings) it can get very busy at this location with both elevators being held up, thus making what should be a quick trip to your unit take a long time. Other than that, it was fine.

My personal belongings were stored in the Riverdale U-Haul storage facility for 12 years, during which time I never worried about their preservation. And during the same period, every facility staff member was helpful and courteous toward me. Well done, NYC!

Adequately inform the customer (especially if new to your service) about contract details to show transparency. The trip destination on app should be required, not optional. That will prevent problems with reservation mistakes.

I understand that with covid there's a process to each transaction, however if there are client facing people available at the location and there is a line of customers maybe having them jump in to knock out the line of in-person clients. It's a small thing really. The person at the front was as efficient as they could have been.

The person inside was very helpful. The person outside needs some help regarding attitude and behavior. I got there a few minutes before 7pm and when he saw me pull up he left right away. I did not know they were closing exactly at 7pm but I got there beforehand and he just left. I locked up the truck and dropped the key in the mail slot.

Offer one way rentals. I had to pay twice the price to drive 53 miles one way to move and then drive back again to drop it off because these locations were offering. At pick up the location also asked that we bring the truck back within 8hours- that they were doing that for “the holiday season”. It's clearly a 24 hour rental. Thought that was odd

The truck itself was completely fine, and most staff I met were nice. However, the contactless pick up was not contactless and took about 30 mins to get through at this site, so arrive before your scheduled time if possible. When I arrived, I logged into the app to follow the instructions. I had to scan the location code, then find my truck, then the driver had to be verified, then go get my key at one office, then was sent to pick up dolly in another office but when I got there, I was told the dolly was outside so I had to go back out (when in reality the dolly was supposed to be inside my truck already). This was in no way contactless or quicker than doing the regular steps in person, I'm disappointed in the service.

Rebecca and Margarita were great. The only disappointment is that our access card for the elevators still does not work. Margarita reset it three times, and we left last night without one that works. She informed us that a manager will need to help resolve the issue. We’re coming with movers on Wednesday, 12/23, and desperately hope that this will be resolved upon our arrival (and not add time to our move!).

I was a little irritated that the windshield on the inside was dirty. You only knew that when you turned in the sun and could no longer see out the windshield. I was pissed me off was this. When I walked out to the area where you have ready vehicles parked to get my van, there was a UHaUL Customer (probably regular ), as he's a bedbug service. He was in a pickup truck with a UHaUL trailer attached. Look at the video cameras for the location. He's in his van smoking a joint. The wind was blowing in the direction of the ready vehicles. I get my van and the stench of weed was in the van. I drove around all day with the smell of weed in the van. If I wasn't in a hurry I would've demanded another van without the odor. You shouldn't have a hard time figuring out who he is. Also it's still against the law to smoke weed and drive stoned

Lots of maskless employees! When I took my stuff out of storage there were STAINS on much of my stuff from a rusty pipe or tube thing resting on top of the mesh grid leaking down into the storage locker. Also, it is utterly ridiculous that you do not prorate for the month if a locker is emptied out early and that you make people be there in person to end the contract. It is possible to e-sign a document.

Fees are very expensive from the lock to materials and lock replacement. I was left with 10 days. My bill is 11/08/2020. I did not any money back for the STORAGE. I CLOSE THE STORAGE ON 10/31/2020. SO THANK YOU FOR BEING GREAT TO THE COSTUMER.

My issue is that the quality of the unit was good and the service reps were always more than adequate. What did not like the constant change regarding the rising rental fee every few months -and then the new mangement the decreased the timeframe of the late payments toward auction since September 2019 did not ease my contentment at the time

The staff here are terrific. We were transferring from one unit to another on 9/26 and without even being asked, Carlos went off to find us a cart (there were none in the main area). He walked with us all the way to the kingsbridge side units multiple times, first to show us the available units, and later to make sure our card was working. The staff working behind the register were patient in explaining the invoice. We had an excellent experience.

The check in process to get the uhaul truck was quite long (40 mins). However, I was so happy with the move in process of my furniture. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had all the dollies we needed, assisted immediately when all the parking by the loading station were taken by passenger cars, and even assisted unloading the truck. Teresa was especially helpful. Great customer service.

It took two hours to move in to my storage unit, because of mistakes from the uHaul team on site. I received an access card that did not work, and had to go back to their office to get an access code. Then went upstairs to see the unit, and it was locked, so I had to go back a second time to request it unlocked. It seems like the team was understaffed at the time, with only one person at the front desk.

I rented out a storage unit a half an hour before the offices were closing. I rushed to return the van I had used from the same location. When I arrived at my unit with all my belongings is emptied from the truck, I found that the staff had not removed their lock. I called every number I could find and was left on hold. Finally we found someone that could help us, a worker closing out in the office. We explained the situation to her and she told us to come back tomorrow, knowing all our stuff was waiting outside the unit. An hour passes and we find someone else to help (Raymond from another location, very nice person), he calls the general manager and he sends the same woman who told us she couldn’t help, to open the lock. They didn’t apologize, and were laughing upon arrival.

There was always a problem with my unit. They kept saying that I owed money when I didn’t and put the red lock on my unit. The old manager was horrible and never available to speak with me. Overall, a huge disappointment.

The area I had was always hot. I let the manager know the first day aI moved in. Some areas were cool, but my area was not. It's a very old site and the floors were bumpy and made it difficult to roll the moving carts. The site was clean. The building was so large and only 2 elevators. Climate control was not the best.

There needs to be more people working. I was the second person in line when the location opened. I completed the online pre-check in. I had ordered supplies over 1 month in advance. Not only were my supplies not available (I ordered 6 furniture pads, there were only 3), half of them were missing from the order (TV box and mattress cover). I also had to wait in line for about 45 minutes before I could be seen. Next, I was given no instruction, or map as to where my storage unit was located. When I came in with a full truck 90 min later, I found out that my movers were unloading the truck at the wrong doc! We had to then request a different (more expensive) storage unit so we didn't have to pack back up only to unpack again. I then needed a refund for the furniture pads that were not given to me. This took over 30 min! The ONLY good thing about this experience were the movers I hired through you. I understand the the staff here was strapped for help ( while I was there I learned that one staff member was late, and another just left work without telling anyone.) You all need to hire more reliable people, and train them better in communication skills. I spent almost as much time in the office waiting as I had actually packing or unpacking my apartment.
