So sadly my aunt passed away a few months ago and she left me some of her furniture. My nephew bought her house, so I had to move the things out quickly. Someone suggested to rent a U-Haul because it's only $20 for the day. When I called the first time, Tim was very helpful with the information about the rental. I was stressing because I was not sure how I was going to get the furniture into the truck by myself being that it was too heavy for one person to lift. When I went into the store to set up the rental, Brandon gave more information telling me that the website had a “moving labor” tab or to just go onto the “movinghelp.com” website where I could hire movers to help with the moving. After having not much luck on my outdated computer, I called U-HAUL again for assistance and a very nice person Stacey went above and beyond to help set everything up for me and all I had to do was connect with the movers. The first set of movers, Right Choice Moving went very well. The second set of movers did not call or show so I was stuck. It was too late to reserve anyone else and not enough light in the storage unit because it was getting darker so I had to wait. The next day, Q-Haul came to the rescue and loaded the furniture into the storage unit. Later that day I took the truck back to U-HAUL and explained the situation and they were so kind to not charge me for the second day. I was really pleased with the whole U-Haul experience . For not knowing what I was doing from the get go, it was a relief and I was grateful to be surrounded by informative and knowledgable employees. Everyone was so helpful and patient, the 10' truck was easy to drive, they have cool stuff in the store like packing tape and plastic wrap for glass, you can rent dollies, the prices are affordable, and a bonus--they provide additional assistance with moving help. (P.S. I discovered that they even have their own storage unit rentals.) They are the complete package of moving essentials.

I was charged double due to someone at this location not logging in the proper miles of the previous rental. I was charged for their miles as well as my own and after speaking with the GM I was told that it was also my fault as well as theirs. I won't be renting from u-haul anymore. Terrible way to treat customers.

The young lady that worked there in August but the new guy is simply awful He handed me my receipt by punching me in the middle of my chest with it after returning the equipment He was terribly argumentive and I had to ask the manager at the location to help me even make my reservation. It was all I could do to keep my cool. Horrible personality to be working with the public. I wish the young lady would not have left she was allsome.

The vehicle had very low mileage making it difficult to know which was the trip computer and which was the actual mileage. A mix up happened between the 2 when checking in and I was charged for extra mileage I didn't actually drive. The staff was excellent and corrected the milage refunding me my money after I showed them cell phone photos of the milage from before and after my drive.

Store was fine, I have no complaints there. I would like to call out that it's not made very clear that your reservation is guaranteed but your pick up location is not. I was told 2 days before my reservation that my equipment was not available at my desired location (which was 5 minutes from me) and that I now had to go 45 minutes away to get the equipment. Furthermore, I luckily called customer service to ask a question and found out that my equipment was never checked in to that location, so they had to find another rental for me.

The truck's lights kept flickering on and off overnight when key not in ignition. Was not a problem in end but was worrisome.

The lift door was very difficult to move and covered in grease. Many of our items and clothing was damaged by this grease. I reserved the trailer for Toms River NJ however the afternoon before pick up I was called to say the closest trailer was located in Baltimore MD (3 hours one way from my requested location) After much time and begging on the phone I was offered Havre De Grace MD and two locations in PA over 2 1/2 hours one way. I asked if they could get me a trailer a day or two later and was told they wouldn't know until the day before. I had driven 2 days up from FL to take things back from the home I was moving out of. Finally they found one for me in Philadelphia PA (two hours each way) When asked why they couldn't supply the trailer reserved I was told everyone was moving out of NJ and no one was bringing the trailers back north. Making me drive hours to pick up the trailer (as I had no other choice) was very poor business. Perhaps you should truck trailers up for people who are depending on you. With a few days notice I could have changed my drive up and work schedule. Very poor communication and service!!!!!

Give them what they actually ordered. U-Haul ruined our moving day by telling us they did not have the truck size we reserved over a month prior avaliable so we had to use a smaller one, forcing us to make multiple trips and move things ourselves when we had hired movers to do that work for us. The truck has almost no gas when we picked it up and felt like the gear box was going to fail at any moment. I WILL NEVER USE U-HAUL EVER AGAIN

I scheduled a week in advance for a specific location. The day before my move, my reservation was moved 20 miles away. I obviously could not book another rental company that late. It took half a dozen phone calls early in the morning to get a truck that was slightly closer. The amount of blatant incompetence was staggering. No one offered anything to make up for how shitty the service was and I was told that I would not qualify for the $50 reservation guarantee even though it was their fault I had to travel further and pay for extra miles. Won't be using Uhaul again.

Quincy is awesome! His attention to each customers needs is beyond professional. My interaction (or lack of interaction) when I returned the equipment was jarring by comparison. The gentleman at the desk lacked the professionalism I got with with Mary and Quincy. He came off as unmotivated and uninterested in me as a customer.
