There is no parking, we had to park 3 blocks away in a shopping center. The check in process was so long, took 40 minutes to get our truck. The truck had multiple lights on the dash alerting needs attention. Getting gas after use was difficult because we had to fill it up to the line past half. If we just had to fill it up to full that would have been much easier than having to guess how much gas it would take to make it to half. The drop off process was easy luckily

The people were nice. Two of the 15' trucks need to be retired. The first one given to me I could not even breath inside the cab. The engine exhaust was overwhelming.
The second truck I was given had a hole in the roof which allowed rainwater off the roof to damage my sofa and chair. While it was raining the rain came into the cab thru the top windshield gasket. Finally, the radio did not work.

I reserved a storage locker on 12/4 to begin my move in on 12/22. I even came to the facility on the 4th to ensure that my reservation went through and that all was well. On 12/22 when I showed up, I was informed that the manager had rented my reserved unit. Luckily they were able to provide two 5x10s instead of what I had previously reserved, but it was a bad look, overall.

Both of the driver side tires had bubbles. One of which popped while I was driving on NJ turnpike. This cold had been a major safety issue for me if I did not immediately slow down and pull to the shoulder. I then had to wait 3 hours for a tow truck that I had to pay for out of pocket. The tow truck brought me to a PepBoys where I had to get both tires replaced and yes, I had to pay out of pocket for two new tires. I deserve a reimbursement for the tow and the tires.

I feel ripped off on the gas and mileage. The gas gauge needle was just below ¾ when I picked it up. When I put gas in I was pissed off that I put to much in, a little over ¾ of a tank. The gas station was on the corner within walking distance and I’m 76 years old and the truck did not burn 4 gallons going as far as I could comfortably walk. Then I get an email with aTransaction Receipt showing I was billed an extra 4 gallons total $18.00. I was also charged for an additional 8 miles, what’s that about?According to the odometer i drove 75 miles. This is a total of $26.00 that I feel you did me out of. Perhaps Joe Shoen, who is the Chairman, President, and CEO of U-Haul whose net worth is over 4 billion needs the money more than me? I don’t care if he needs my $26.00, my wife and I need it more.
I would appreciate an explanation and/or refund or my friends and family will know what happened to me. And you know there is always Penske.

There is no where to park your car when you arrive to find the truck. You have to squeeze in and take the photos of the truck which is impossible when they are packed in so tight. I had to step into the road to get a photo of the vehicle. There is also no signage for spots so you have to just drive around reading every number to find your correct vehicle.

I had safety concerns on a previous trip when I had a wobbly old trailer, and he addresses this by switching the equipment rental to a newer trailer. All of the above boxes should have had another option other than yes and no but maybe it should have had a box saying something other than yes or no. Anyway other than that no I would not suggest anyone uses the inside storage units I would advise them to stick to the outside storage units where they can actually get their stuff from their vehicle into the storage without having to walk up a whole bunch of stairs and downstairs it was so inconvenient because there is no elevator or lift it was so so so so much a bad experience. So again I would suggest people use the outside storage and not even consider for one second using the inside storage. But not only is it inconvenient to get your stuff in and out the lighting inside each individual unit really is not at all good and if I were to rate it out at 10 I would give the lighting situation at two.

I had a very good experience at the UHaul in Roxborough. The staff are professional, helpful and know their job. Rita and Mary are both excellent to work with. The facility was clean and well-lit. The only issue I had was that my rental - a large storage on first floor - had no lighting. It made it very difficult to find things or organize. Mary tried to help with some small battery-operated nightlights, but they did not shed enough light and very quickly burned out. Really needs lighting, especially as B1052 is very large. Thank you for an otherwise great experience!

My storage room had no lighting. I had to rely on hall light or a flashlight I would take to the facility when I needed something from storage. I think the storage is over priced with prices constantly increasing. It's difficulty to park after U-Haul added numerous storage areas and trucks.

When I made the reservation I was told I would be getting a first floor unit however upon arriving the unit was on the second floor without an elevator. Totally unacceptable. Unfortunately it was too late to find other accommodations otherwise I would’ve found a location with a first floor available.

Mice destroyed most of my belongings that were in there. I’m allergic to mouse droppings so I had to abandon most of my things I kept in storage there. Even the facilities guy on staff noted that every single thing was covered in mouse feces.

On 6/1/2021 Quincy had called me and stated that the storage unit I rented, the door was damaged. I agreed to a replacement with one month free. He also told me I didn’t need to have a lock and bring that back foe a replacement. On 6/2/2021, I arrived. Mike was at the desk. I walked in with 2 other customers. He needed propane and the 3rd needed boxes. Mike was flustered , and rude to me because of being stressed. Even though I was before them, and as I told him of the conversation with Quincy he said “he told me none of this and I have to take these other customers because it will take a half hour to go through everything with you”. I was placed aside so he could waif on other customers. When I finally did get to the desk. Mike was huffing and puffing about having to do this rental. I told him Quincy mentioned on the phone about the one month free and he said “ he never told me”. He then acted us if I was stupid to bring back the lock I purchased . I said Quincy said to bring it back because I didn’t need one, I don’t know - I never did this before. Mike was rude and talked down to me. He could not handle the stress of more than one customer. It was very uncomfortable to feel belittled in front of my son and pushed aside.
