Get better tires on the pickup trucks if they are not 4wd the 2wd trucks pulling trailers in the winter is impossible with the tires that are on the truck it is unsafe

We originally hired a moving company but they messed up our reservation. Renting a U-Haul worked out perfect for our move. The employees we interacted with were helpful and nice. If you have to move and don't want to pay for a moving company or deal with possibly bad service, you really can't go wrong here. They even have all types of moving boxes at better prices than most places. Also, though we didn't use the service, they have moving help available too. We felt like if anything went wrong, we had options though U-Haul. Thank you!

The pickup was dirty and a clean pickup was next to it I was no able to fully inspect the vehicle because of all of the dirt. It was apparent that the vehicle had not been checked in properly before checking it out due to the gas tank dirt. The tires needed inflation all were less than 30 psi.

My original pick up location was Portsmouth NH, but the day of pickup they didn't have the trailer. I had to drive 30 miles longer to get one, put they did knock off $70.00. The final pickup and drop off location were great, and everything went smoothly.

There was a disconnect with corporate U Haul and the Saco U Haul with every purchase we made Ordered a truck through corporate, changes to made to drop off location by corporate with subsequent un- known changes to pick up and need for us to drive to Freyburg (2 hours away 1 way) to get our truck. Saco was unable to help. I paid a trailer hitch 1 x through corporate, not received in Saco, and 2 x at the Saco office (?credit card machine not working, they never called me back but froze my account). On a better note the storage facility was very clean and secure. We really appreciated that!

The trucks were difficult to find (hidden back behind storage building with no clear direction), the rental process was extremely inefficient because you had to go into the store to get the key, and there were 4 customers ahead of me in line with only one attendant working. When I did pick up my truck, the moving blankets I reserved were not in the truck and I had to go back to ask for them.

I called to get a uhaul and got re routed to the switchboard or whatever location other than Saco... they told me I would get a call back immediately but I never received a call after an hour so I went into the shop myself.... we waited a good 30 minutes in line to even get any help... it was a bit stressful. I think your location should have extra help esspecially on the weekends and especially at the end of the month before everyone decides to move.... I was not very pleased with my experience.... the lady working though was very kind and helpful once we got up to the counter.

The employee who helped me was not wearing a mask. This is not political, or decisive. We are in a pandemic, with cases in Maine rising. I would understand if they at least had plexiglass, but they do not. This is irresponsible to not be wearing a mask. We are all aware of how deadly this virus is by now. His coworker was wearing a mask, which I appreciated.

I called 24 hours in advance to make sure our Uboxes were unloaded and ready to pack first thing in the morning. I spoke with the manager/staff twice the day before. When I arrived to unload the boxes at 7am, they had not been prepared. It took 1 hour to get that sorted out, during which time I was paying movers hourly to sit around. There was some miscommunication on the staff/management side, and then very little urgency to correct the issue, which caused scheduling issues for me and the movers I had hired.

The person checking customers in and out was rude, slow and inconsiderate. Only one person processing customers in and out making it extremely slow. The U-haul movers, RG Moving did not show up to load my U-haul truck. They did not return my texts or phone calls. The U-haul service line was not answered in my several attempts to contact them. The U-haul associate checking me in upon return of the truck said the movers not showing up was NOT a U-haul problem, even though it was advertised as a U-haul service. He did not say he was sorry for my inconvenience of my ability to move that I has to cancel. TERRIBLE SERVICE, ATTITUDES AND PERFORMANCE.

Overall it was okay and could have been better. The check-in process took much longer than I expected. It would have been nice if I had received an email or some alert about doing most of the check-in process ahead of time. The truck worked well, although honestly I can't tolerate chemical fragrances, so whatever scent was in there gave me a headache. Lastly, and most importantly, while I returned the truck and was doing the mobile phone check-out, a young man (presumably an employee) came up to me and said that I could just leave the keys in the front and they would look through the truck for me and I would be "all set." He said I wouldn't have to finish checking out online. It felt sketchy and I wasn't sure if he was really an employee. I had a moment of doubt and almost did what he asked, but then I decided to continue the mobile check-out and returned the keys to the lock box.

This truck needed to have the front end aligned we were ;oared and trying to drive 850 miles and could go 50MPH. Called UHaul and they said it was tire pressure, it was not. Just a hunk of junk. Trip took longer than expected and they charged for an extra day.

The email I got said access hours were from 5am to 10pm Monday - Sunday and the manager refused to honor that. When asked for a refund I was hung up on. Basically the manager doesn’t know how to manage and I missed an entire day of work to move my things in because she didn’t want to get out of bed and honor the email I got. I most definitely should still receive a refund considering I missed out on a $150 day Bc of POOR MANAGEMENT. I will never use this location again
