The Saco office was not helpful at all. I paid in full. Was suppose to have my appointment last Saturday but needed to attend a funeral instead. I called the Saturday before and asked if I could move my appointment up the Saturday before. The home office picks up and tells me they are chatting with the Saco office. They make me an appointment at 1:00 that they. I arrived at 12:50 had to wait in line until 1:40. When I finally got to the desk, the woman tells me that they are not doing hitch installs today and that the home office told me that (which was totally incorrect). So I made an appointment for a week later (yesterday). She says what time would you like to come in. I say “as early as possible” she says how about 8 Am” I say “perfect”. She calls me on Friday and tells me it’s best not to wait as it may take awhile as the installer multitasks in the morning. I tell her Thank you, I don’t have another ride and I’ll Have to take my chances. When I come in at 8:00, she tells me that I am going to be waiting along time because the installer isn’t due to come in Until late morning. I leave my car and find a ride. I called last night at 5 and the home office picks up. I say that I want to ensure that my car is locked and if someone can call me back before they close at 7 pm. Home office tells me that somebody will call me back. Nobody calls me back. I arrive there at 8PM. My car is unlocked. I found the Saco location incompetent when it comes to customer service.

I was told that using my smart phone to check in I could skip the line by the employee at check-in. I did show up an hour early but figured I should knowing how slow the process is there. The staff wasn't the issue until I was told something that wasn't true about doing it on my phone. Later when I returned my truck, sign outside said please wait and someone will assist you. The employee in duty was the ONLY employee there (his own words) and there is a line inside. I guess he was telling me to get in line? I did because that was the only way I thought I was going to return my truck. Another customer who came in behind me was complaining how u-haul is the slowest service available. Don't tell me if I use my smartphone to check in that I can jump the line by holding up my phone and when I do an hour later, tell me I can't do that. She literally told me she would just hand me keys once she saw I had checked in on my phone.

The equipment was in good condition except for a couple beaks in the fender from a prior customer use. Unfortunately when driving the tail light fell out twice and once I found a shop I had to duct tape in place. Not sure how anyone would have known unless the towed with it and had the light come out. That really wasn’t the fault of the sales person, so not sure what I’d recommend in the future..

First off I had to wait in line for 45 minutes before speaking to the one person working the cask of a line of 10 people. We had multiple issues in the process of getting this. I requested this uhaul and tow 2 and a half weeks before my move and was told they may night have to proper tow for my car on site for my arrival... I moved to North Carolina the following morning. Then he gave me the keys to the truck and told me to find the truck and the tow and he would be out to help me. After 10 minute of walking around the property I finally found the truck I was renting parked behind two other trucks. Then I have to argue with the guy helping me that I found the tow and he said that’s not the one you are taking. Which I ended up being so. Overall I would never rent from them again and I’m happy to say North Carolina has other company’s to use if I end up moving again. They were rude and weren’t helpful. Made my experience so stressful thinking I didn’t have a truck or a tow for my move the following day. I spent almost $800 on my truck and tow with them and was treated like complete shit. Terrible service.

I had a reservation for 10am and I arrived at the store at 9:55. Waited in line for 90 minutes until I was able to speak with someone. They literally only had 2 guys there and one was at the counter at a time. One customer was throwing a major fit, threatening harm on the store and then tried to walk it back like he was making a joke. It was a nightmare.

Turned in Sunday at opening. There was a long line. Perhaps extra help for first hour, or eliminate the $20 fee for drop off if everything is okay.

You could start with having enough employees to accommodate the customers. The person/s helping the customer can't keep leaving the counter to go outside and check equipment. Especially when there is a long line of customers waiting. There should be a designated person/s doing this task, while the counter person takes care of the next customer in line. The staff could at least recognize those of us standing in line with a "hello, we will be with you shortly" instead of not acknowledging we are there at all. Returning a 5x8 trailer took almost a half hour. I would like to recognize an employee who was NOT on duty, but came into the store for another reason, His name was Adam. He jumped in to help out the line, even though he was not on the clock. It was VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. He is the reason this location did not get a bad review from me. THANK YOU ADAM!!

Hire staff. Waiting time was too long. Only one staff working. Great service by staff but being alone was annoying for customers waiting for there orders.

Booking process is terrible. I booked via phone which seemed like a nice smooth process only to repeat everything at pick-up. At Pick-Up there was a comment of how I might not have my reservation as someone else was picking up the same size truck, and it might go to him instead - why make a reservation then? For drop off, I was told I would get half off if I went one town over in Ashford CT, but the truck had to go to Ashford for the deal. When the paperwork was being finalized, the computer was sending me to MI! A phone call reconfirmed Ashford, but the printed paperwork said Putnam, but I should call the drop off number to make sure I went to Ashford. After my delivery, I called the number, explained all this, and they said, "your paperwork says Putnam so you have to drop in Putnam." I dropped in Putnam, and I really hope I get the half off deal promised to me. What a nightmare!

Jill and her staff were great! U-haul should consider upgrading the computer system. Several times there were issues when trying to make a payment. Thanks again to Jill, she was always smiling!

First everything was great with autopay . More then one unit on autopay they don't take out the money so you get charged late fees plus don't get reimburse once you show them it was set up for autopay
