The person that "helped" me was deceptive and lied to me. I was originally scheduled to pich up a 9 foot van around 3PM on May 18, 2018. When I arrived at the location I was told that the booking center had monly given me a quote despite the fact that they asked for my credit card number and e-mail address. I was informed that nothing was available unless I wanted to upgrade to a 15 ft box truck. I declined and said I would be posting a negative review to which the person I was dealing with said "Go ahead". I left and made contact with someone that claimed to be the regional manager and explained the issue to him (sorry but I did not get his name). He made arrangements for me to get a 10 ft truck and expressed amazement that it had not been offered to me originally. When I showed up at approx 4:45 there was only one person in the store, the same person I had dealt with earlier. There were two other folks ahead of me so it took some time before she could "help" me. After having found my reservation she proceeded to inspect the truck and came back and said it was set to go. I was told that i needed toterturn the truck in the same condition with the same amount of fuel. According to this person the tank was FULL! I drove away without checking to be sure thatwas true and when I got about 2 miles away (to where I was going) I noticed that the gas gauge read slightly over 1/4 full. I called her and told her what the guage read and I took a picture for proof. She was allegedly going to mark the contract to make the adjustment. When I returned the truck at 7:52 I could not get the app to work for the return so I called the reservation system and spoke to a gentleman named Archie. After having explained it to him he said he would make note in the file. This morning I looked at my credit card online and, imagine my surprise (sarcasm intended) there were additional charges. I don't oftern rent moving vehicles but rest assured that given this type of treatment I wont be renting/recommending U-Haul again

Have more staff. Counter could be staffed by by 2 people with 2 others outside! Shorter waiting times for customers. Staff was very courteous, helpful & patient. Give them a raise!

The Maine welcome was outstanding and the young man was waiting for me to step out when I arrived. Construction in the area made them work out an easy to use lane for drop off . Nice to think of the customers need to park a larger truck in a construction area...

Staffing is way to low for the amount of volume. The General Manager did a fantastic job but with just her on the computer issuing all these current orders with 6-7 people in line is a major hold up! I waited at least 30-45 minutes. Then I waited more just to aquire my truck. Not to mention getting a hold of them over the phone. Is literally impossible. I tried calling for 3 hours! Again, Kudos to the GM she literally rocks but she needs more help. If it was faster i would of gave a 5/5

Working hard but terrifically understaffed. It took 50 minutes to check-in and pick up my equipment. I was very disappointed with the call center. I tried to confirm my reservation on 28 April and was stuck on hold for 32 minutes before I finally hung up and called back later.



We used this location for drop off. In the past you could just drop your key in the overnight box. We weren’t aware we needed to do something to check it in, online. So DAYS after we returned the uhaul i received an email that we were being charged for an unreported accident and 2 additional days of rental. When we spoke to the employee there, she essentially told us it was our fault it we didn’t have the previous damaged noted on our contract and that if we didn’t want to be charged for extra days we should have done the return check in online- that they JUST found the key and contract days after we returned it. So I suggested they watch the security cameras if they thought we were lying about the return day and time. Finally they refunded us the additional rental days but said if we wanted to be refunded the damages that we would need to contact Rochester and get proof that is was existing when we picked it up, because it had never been noted before. The folks in Rochester were very helpful and recalled the damaged to the vehicle without hesitant. In the end we got our refund for monies we never should have been charged, but overall pretty displeased with the experience. The employee in saco also told my husband to get out of her face and he was no where near her face or being aggressive. Overall her behavior was unprofessional

When you reserve a truck the time should not be offered if there is no truck available at that time. We were to get a truck at 4pm on Saturday but were told we couldn’t get it until 9am Sunday. Then once we got there on Sunday there was 1 person working (besides a trainee) and at least 15 people in line. Last weekend of the month, i can imagine people need to move. Also i was charged mileage! The allowable was 30 miles and without any extra driving we went 34.

This time when I got there they had only 1 person at the counter, she went out with a customer, there were 3 of us waiting. She brought cleaning supplies to clean a truck! With 3 of us waiting. There was a guy out back who came in/out but did stop to help people check out. When I returned we had swept the truck and removed any thing from the cab-we did not eat in the truck so there were no crumbs or anything in it. I was still charged 25.00 for cleaning. To me this is false advertising--you say 29.99 for the day but do not disclose the extra 25.00 for cleaning which I have been charged every time I rented a truck recently even though we had returned it in the same condition we received it.

The location is convenient but getting in and out and finding parking was brutal given the ongoing construction at the site. Check-in took 12 minutes. Luckily another team member opened another register. The vehicle smelled of cigarette smoke from a prior rental but was adequate for our needs. We rented for 10:30AM but actually left the lot at 10:55. Returned the vehicle at 2:20 and waited in line for over 25 minutes (with 4 other customers ahead of me) watching just 1 associate do his best to try to get people in the vehicles and going. People who wanted propane left out of frustration (3 customers) while us "renters" had to wait it out. The Associate was pleasant and professional when he announced "leave the keys for returns and I'll email you your receipts". Thank goodness! I dropped the keys and agreement and left at 2:45 (25 minutes after my arrival). As you know, Saturday is one of the busiest days for rentals. PLEASE have the insight to properly staff this store. It's unfair to the one lonely associate doing his best and to your loyal customers. Thank you!
