Truck smelled of cigarette smoke. No gas cap. Checked day before and all equipment on lot had the 7 wire round trailer connector that I needed. Mine had a 4 wire connector that would not work with the equipment I was towing. I was sold a converter and told it could be returned if it was in the original packaging. It was but I was not allowed to return it. Truck only had 7/8 tank of fuel but I was required to return it full. Contract read $79.00 + $0.29/mile with 100 miles free When it returned it they charged $0.69/ mile increasing bill by over $70.00. Counter clerk acknowledged the bill did not match the contract I had in my hand but nothing he could do about it. I had to return and take it up with someone else another time. The senior person on duty was obviously not trained sufficiently to be senior person on duty. I was delayed nearly an hour departing because of the wiring issue. Told towing a trailer with only the 4 wire connector would be a violation of state law but they were unwilling to substitute a van that had the correct wiring (as did every other vehicle that I saw on the lot!!). We spent over half an hour trying to get the wiring issue resolved before using your equipment and an additional hour trying to resolve the billing issue upon return. Neither issue was resolved to our satisfaction.

U-haul has charged my credit card for $2888.45 without presenting any supporting documentation as to why or what that is paying for. I have a Repwest Claim # 01091214-2018 open since June and Repwest has been horrible to work with. They are simply not supplying me with documentation or any kind of invoice to support those charges after dozens of attempts.

The trailer leaked. There was a rainstorm overnight and in the morning my boxes were wet and one of my personal items had been damaged. I paid money to use the trailer to transport my items safely and it didn't.

I was hoping to get a 26'er from the Marginal way location in Portland. Instead I had to drive 15 miles out of my way to get one. That equated to a $30 bill added to my rental in mileage charge.

I'm disappointed that I was charged extra. I called on Saturday night to extend my drop off time. The guy on the phone told me that as long as I got the Cargo Van back to the Saco location, I would be fine and only be charged for one day. I also followed the directions about filling up the Cargo Van with gas to get back to where the original needle was. I followed the instructions on your form and even put a little extra in just in case. There is apparently construction going on at this location I returned to and I parked in a dirt lot. Guess the truck was not level and I was charged the high rate for additional gas. In my opinion, I was overcharged by 24.74 dollars. I will go to a different location in the future for my rental needs. Probably Penske.

Lance Wade II was a poor representative for your company in Saco, ME. He lacked any type of customer service skill necessary to perform his job and then had difficulty typing my name from my license. He lacked any empathy for taking 45 minutes of my time to pick up a vehicle that I had reserved. What was the point in reserving the truck if I have to process more paperwork and wait in line behind everyone else? His typo on my customer contract prevented me dropping off the vehicle quickly and efficiently at 9:40 at night. I wasn’t done using the chat option and the call in option until 10:30pm to ensure it was documented properly. Definitely not what I wanted to do after working 14 hours moving my possessions.

Customer Service was above and beyond from Lance. When making the reservation I was not told that dropping my rental off at a different location than that of the one pre-selected for me would cause me to be charged. This is a disclaimer that should really be made aware to the customer, as well as giving them the option to have the return location remain open.
