Our trailer became unhooked from our vehicle and it took over 3 hours to get roadside assistance to come out to fix the issue. Contacting U-Haul's customer service Center in Phoenix , AZ was frustrating with many dropped calls and their lack of knowledge of the area we feel contributed to sending a tow truck company from another town an hour away from our location. In addition, the tow truck driver spoke incomplete/unintelligible english creating an issue for him to find us, even though we were on the Mass Pike near downtown Worcester-- hardly a remote place. Also, everytime we called back in for a status, we received a different customer service agent and had to re-state our issue. Does, U-haul keep track of calls and record customer interactions in a database? Contacting the local U-Haul Facility in Saco, Maine was useless since they just referred us to MyU-Haul.com, and seemed to be more interested in moving on to selling services to other customers. Placing a trouble ticket with My-Uhaul.com never worked and we had to call the 1-800 number. After the event to place, and we were back on the road, (we ended up renting a truck from another facility) I placed a call the General Manager Richard in Saco, Maine but never heard back from him-- probably was at a softball game and could not be bothered. I believe, their inattention to detail, the lack of our safety being a concern for U-Haul, and only trying to find out what/who was at fault being their prime purpose, charging us for the trailer rental and never receiving a callback from the local U-Haul General Manager (Richard) in Saco, Maine warrants this poor rating. I will also send our comments to U-haul's Corporate Office and CEO so maybe they can review local customer service policies to vastly improve customer service policies. The lack of customer service, follow-up, their concern for our safety will prevent us from renting from the local facility in Saco and most likely U-Haul in general.

There was an employee who was very rude. When attempting to call he answered "please hold" and clicked onto hold. This occurred three times consecutively totaling a hold time of 41 minutes, with no answer at all. I finally went into the location and he pointedly ignored me for 5 minutes despite the store being empty. The following day when I picked up the equipment I was fortunate that there was another associate who assisted me but the first person butted in and continued to be rude when I pointed out that they owed me a $50 credit under their "reservation guarantee". It is unfortunate that this one employee colored the whole experience at this location.

I've been renting trucks at this location for years, and I am always amazed at how little help you have on shifts. I seldom see more than 1 individual at the counter, who has to answer phones, take reservations, get contracts prepared and pull up trucks, receive returned vehicles, fill propane tanks, and handle retail sales, in addition to many behind the scenes responsibilities which I don't see. You should work toward improving customer service by getting your people some help...

I just dropped of the truck and left. One thing I would suggest is that you can enter from either street. We pulled in the u haul back parking lot and then we're asked to pull out and drive around the building back into traffic. If the manager would have kept the lane open we wouldn't have had to do this.

Tried to call to ask questions-on hold for 30 minutes then they hung up. Called back-same experience-on hold for 25 minutes then they picked up and said "can you hold" then put me on hold for another 15 minutes. When I arrived at the store both employees were sitting next around-no other customers were present. I mentioned that I tried to call but wasn't able to get through meanwhile I had my phone in my pocket while still on hold. The uhual rep responded by - "yeah-we don't pick up the phone on weekends when it gets busy" (but there were no people at the store). It then took them another 45 minutes to process my request and get a truck for me. I have had this similqr experiences each time I have used this location. Moving forward, I will pay 50 bucks more to travel to the Portland location. Horrible experience trending. Fed up

Unfortunately the lot was loaded with vehicles which made it confusing and difficult for the customers. Not a big deal, and of no fault of the employees. Employees were very help and the trailer I had was one of the best I have rented. My only constructive comment is that I found it irritating that I could only rent the 6x12 ramp trailer round trip. I could not drop it off at my final destination and had to pay the extra cost to keep it additional days to return it to the pick up site. If this style of trailer is so in demand, then shouldn't UHaul have more of them?

I had a very unexpected situation with my new apartment and was unable to move in when I had planned to. Uhaul was very understanding and helpful throughout the entire process.
