Trailer wheel tie down was ripped, I had to request the change. I was there 35 minutes early for a 9am and was unable to leave until well after 9am. The equipment was old and pretty banged up.

I was given a vehicle that had no fuel in it and the air bag warning lamp was on the dash. A very unsafe vehicle to be renting. When I exited the building, my equipment wasn't ready, I had to wait while my equipment was being prepared in front of me. I demand a full refund for my troubles. I've never had any issues until yesterday.

The guys that work there are excellent. Very professional and knowledgable. But they need more help. Way too busy to handle all the phone calls and customers.

Make the check in process much faster, or make sure enough associates are available to handle the peak hours. I had an 8am reservation. Granted I showed up 2 hours late but still had to wait 1/2 hour. My suggestion comes with a compliment however. Although frustrated with the wait, I really didn't mind as soon as I realized that Chris Munoz was checking in order customers and giving them the outstanding service and respect he always gives me! He truly does treat individuals as if their the most important person in the room. Please commend Chris, and please review the check in process for a faster process.

My “guaranteed” reservation of a 17’ truck turned out to be not guaranteed as they only had smaller trucks available when I arrived—I had to call ahead to find that out, no one called to let me know. They did offer me a discounted mileage rate, but I ended up having to rent another 10’ truck from a more local dealer to get the last few pieces of furniture, which negated the discount and cost me extra money in addition. Not something I wanted to have to deal with on moving day. The staff was very friendly and getting and retuning the truck was otherwise quick and easy.

Although the facility was okay, the rental process was horrible. I reserved a cargo van on-line in the evening for a one-way trip. In the morning I received a call changing the expected pick-up location from a 5 minute drive from my house to a 35 minute drive away. Upon arrival at the location I was advised that cargo vans cannot make one-way trips. Based on commitments regarding timing of this use I had no choice but to do a round trip with it. This caused extra time and aggravation, especially while driving the vehicle which has a big sticker on the windshield saying in town or one-way. I also sent an e-mail asking why I was allowed to do a one-way reservation when that is not allowed and did not receive a response.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences ever. I had a 3:00 appointment for the install and i was not dropping the car off. I was waiting for the work to be done. I live an hour away and had no choice but to wait while the work was being done and was told it would take an hour and a half to two hours. I walked across the highway to a mall to kill some time. About an hour and half went by and i got a call from them and thought that it was finished, only to find out that they had to drill a couple holes in my frame to install the hitch and it would take till the end of the day...Really? 7pm? to drill 2 holes?. so i walked back to the place and my car was in the parking lot and another car was being worked on. Then I was told that they didnt have a drill bit and they had to wait for one to be delivered. How can you not have a drill bit to do this kind of work. I'm sure i am not the only person that needed to have holes drilled to install a hitch...another hour and a half and they are still working on someone elses car and they had already recieved the drill bit. another hour went by before my car was brought in . the place closed at 7 and they didnt have it done until almost 9Pm....Thats 6 HOURS waiting because they didnt have a drill bit. And i was not told this an hour and a half after i dropped the car off. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! I will never recommend your buisness to anyone. I should be compensated for my time as well.

This location is usually great. I have never had a problem renting trailers. This time I used a 5x8 trailer for the day. I told the I would return it after hours like I have many times before (like 9pm) and they said no problem. They would check in the trailer first thing in the AM and I’d be billed for the day. Instead they checked in the trailer at 5pm the next day and charged me for two days plus they charged me for the more expensive insurance despite my contract showing the lower amount. I got an emailed recpt for more than twice the contract and I had to file a complaint to try to get it rectified. This should have been a drop kick. But they’ve caused me much more work than necessary. I hope this gets fixed with no issues.

Please note that this review is not based on the pick up location, but to UHaul as a Company. You should change your scheduling system, it is unacceptable and would not recommend anyone else to rent from Uhaul.

The pick-up location changed almost half a dozen times over the course of four days and kept moving further away from my hometown. I had to Uber to get to this location, which was extremely inconvenient.

The truck I was given was over heating within 10 minutes of driving. The brakes were no good either as the entire truck shook when I applied brakes. I had to return the truck, get a replacement and unload all the equipment from 1 truck to the other. The truck I was given should never of been on the road as it was very dangerous

My pickup appointment was for 11AM. I waited on the counter line for over 30 mins. I didn't get my paperwork and keys until 11:40 AM. And when I did get it, they had to transfer me to another vehicle as the one assigned to me was not currently available on the lot.

I'm always looking for smaller trailers, like the 4x8 covered and the Sport. This is a more convenient location than Jersey City, Paterson, and certainly NYC.

My original order was for pickup in Hackensack at Elvanart Realty. got there at 430 it was closed and my order was cancelled with no explanation. Called the 800 number and was directed to Saddle River. Great service there but very unhappy about being redirected.

The safety chain was not connected but worse was a 50lb chain link holding on a safety chain. Had one of the proper rating on my hitch for my boat. If the ball failed it could have killed someone. Other than that no issue. Huge safety concern in my opinion. The guy that said he had to connect the trailer never connected the break away safety chain.

I did not receive the proper attention from the guy. I came 7 am (time I made my appointment) and the guy that was moving the truck outside told me with attitude that I have to relax and then I wait inside the facility (which was dark) and he approach me at 7:20 am. I've been a customer from uHaul from years and I do not deserve this threatment.

If your going to tell me that the “in town” trip is the same as 1 way be honest about it. I rented a pick up because my car was stolen and needed a way back home. I clearly said that I was dropping the truck off by my house and was not returning to NJ for a long time. Now I’m about to be forced to pay a huge fee because of someone’s mistake and I haven’t heard back from a manager at all.

Don’t give truck away that was reserved. And help people in need (pregnant) when taking dollies that we’re supposed to be loaded in truck that employees forgot, so I had to send my pregnant wife to pick up dollies in our car and employees did not help when it was there fault we did not received dollies in first place.

No bugs, or rodents! However; building really needs updating. Stairs and steep ramp are too cumbersome. Moving extremely tiresome, difficult, and dangerous. No customer appreciation. Workers nice.
