requested a printed receipt but was told they had no ink/toner. Seems kind of surprising for a national rental organization to run our of ink ( and there is a Staples store literally across the highway!). I know it would be emailed but employer prefers original when available for expense reports. No long term parking available here which causes hassles (and overtime in some cases). Best part of the store is the staff--efficient, empathetic, business focused & friendly.

The truck needed an alignment. I drove over 300 miles struggling to keep the truck between the lines. The truck had bad windshield wipers that just smeared the rain. I am not happy with this experience.

The trailer had issues. The hydraulic lift didn’t work and literally had to pick up trailer to place on hitch. Missing bolt on side saddle making it shake while driving.

The people who work in this location are so rude and have no customer service skills. Also I requested my truck from a different location which was where I needed to grab my stuff and instead i had to pay for extra mileage that i didn't need to. This is the 3rd rental that i was robbed by uhaul by changing my reservation or charging a arm and leg.

I came in on Saturday, 9/29/18 to return 5 boxes from a bundle and a package of foam packing for plates. I unfortunately did not have the receipt with me and the associate, Chris Munoz, told me that the buyback guarantee for the boxes did not apply without the receipt. I accepted this response as the message was printed on the box. Next, I was told that the foam packing could be returned but I would not receive either a refund or a store credit. To clarify, I asked 'so, I would give you my product back and get zero?' Which he replied "yes". I've worked 9 years previously in retail management and have been a consumer for decades and have NEVER been told by any company that they would freely accept an item that I spent money for without refunding my money or at least giving me a store credit- to then resell this item to another customer. Sounds like 'double dipping' on the part of U-haul and dishonest business practices.

When things don't go right take extra care with the customer. Saturday morning on picking up there was one guy behind the counter taking care of 5-6 people. He bought the truck and trailer out and did what looked to be a walk around and inspection. In an effort to help him I quickly left. I also left because I was running late and didn't do my own inspection. My mistake I should have. When I was putting a car on the trailer I noticed the trailer wire missing for the brakes ights and turn signals. I called the number and the phone center apologized and said to go back to get trailer wire that was missing. The store didn't seem to know right away and questioned why when clearly it wasn't put on in the beginning. The second thing was the forward tire straps were damaged and unusable. I already had the car on the trailer and used all of my straps and tie downs to secure the car. My wife and son who had gone for the wire spoke to the store personal and was told when we can bring the trailer back they would put on the straps. I was couldn't move the other car I wanted to so switched my plans. I went back on the second day, Sunday, to get the straps and watched as the manager worked on the straps with 4 guys standing around. One was helping with an open end wrench while the manager did most of the work.. The manager of course was upset with what happened and explained why it shouldn't have left his place. He knew my plans had been disrupted and said he would make a note to make sure if I was later then normal on the return time that I wouldn't be charged. What was the icing on the cake was the same guy who was handing the wrench to the manager on Sunday took the truck back Monday morning and charged me for gas. I had just been to the gas station up the highway and brought it up to 7/16 which is what it said on my paper work. He sent the receipt to my email and when I looked at it it stated 3/8 with a 6 dollar plus charge. First if the gauge read different from the station less then a mile away to the store it couldn't have been that much. Second after the problems we had that should have been waved. I run a 26 million dollar plant and understand issues come up but the final straw was the gas charge. You have got to be kidding me.
