I was supposed to get 6 moving pads. Not sure if I was charged but did not receive. Our moving routine changed a little making it much more convenient to return the truck to the original pick up spot. I small price difference would be expected for making the change but the extra charge was exorbitant. Leaving us to travel far out of our way in order to keep the original plan. Could use a little more flexibility here. STUFF happens.

Staff seemed insufficiently trained. One couldn't log in successfully and gave up and left. Another took over and had problem after problem doing the contract. A more knowledgeable employee eventually joined to help, with marginal success. The ID scanner was missing, her phone wouldn't work for taking pictures instead, the computer wasn't working right, the signature tablet was displaying info from the prior customer, and on and on. It was a disaster, took almost an hour just to get a pickup for an hour rental. Service was friendly enough, though.

Staff was nice but truck, reserved two weeks ago, was not available. Had to settle for a truck 5 feet smaller. Mileage was incorrect as was gas level. Luckily I took photos and dealt with it on return. It was rectified but had I not taken pictures it would have been a battle and cost me double. Manager corrected without any issues.

Respected our long haul across the country and commended my son who drove the whole distance on handling such a big rig. 26' plus 12' trailer!! Very nice person to end our long journey with!! The staff was wonderful and very friendly. Explained the process clearly it made things much easier. For the big trucks there should be something for the seats as they don't raise. It will much easier to see the road for small drivers.

I made an online reservation for a cargo van. After I completed everything and asked for the keys the guy behind the counter told me I couldn't have the van I was assigned. So he completed another contract for a different van and I was on my way. But I was charged for 2 rentals.

The gas tank was not full. I pointed it out to the U-Haul staff and they said that they would make the adjustment to my rental contract. When I went to return the truck, I still had to return it full or pay a fuel surcharge.

Everything went very smoothly and efficiently. Each time a spoke to a customer service representative from all the different locations they were able to answer all my questions and concerns. I would recommend this company to anyone who is moving from one state to another. A+ service and care.

The facilities are usually well-kept and the people very kind. I've been here often. However in this insistence on my rental, I was called rude by one of the employees checking me in, presumably because I was direct with my answers, e.g., "No" instead of saying, "No, thank you," every time I was asked a question. The other problem is that this employee said loud enough for me to hear as I walked away, "Some people are just so rude" to the next person standing in line. Thank you for that childish behavior. I should have asked for the manager right then and felt with it. I wasn't rude, just curt, in a hurry, and since the employee was having chatty conversations with patrons in line and at the register before me, which is why I stood in line for 15m, I chose to not have a conversation and get on with the transaction and my day. That employee should be told that the world does not revolve around them—I'm not there to make their day good, they're there to make my day great. I did nothing wrong but not want to chit-chat with an employee and just get the to.

I had a great experience, no complaints at all. Everything was easy and other than one time I had to change out an expired credit card I don't think I ever had to visit the main office but to move in and out for the last five years. The fact that I don't know anyone's name in the office is a good thing but they were very friendly coming in and going out. Good job.

there's no point in your employees wearing masks if they don't cover their face. the guy who checked us in just had it around his chin. and why check-in online, only to have to wait in line and go through a bunch of questions, etc. in-store? and why do you have the employee go drive the car around to the front and not at least have them wearing gloves?

when I went to pick up the van I had rented on 8/31, there was over an hour wait due to the system being down. I along with many other customers waited a long time and I even attempted the contactless check in which failed. After finally getting checked into my rental van - there was hardly an acknowledgement that we had been waiting and delayed for an extended amount of time, which then delayed the entire schedule of moving. I was very disappointed that no recovery attempt was made.

Online reservation was really good - the only catch for me on that one was I was not sure what "limited availability" meant, but poking around, I just went with the one that said "available". But doing the whole reservation online, including the copies of my license, all very good. Pickup was acceptable - the local office' systems seemed not as fast or reliable as the online was for me; people there were very helpful & good; maybe slightly better POS system there, and the experience would have been super-dialed. thanks.

I will never be able to thank the staff here enough. Under the pressure of a stressful 1800 mile move these are the people we all need in our life. Jamie (& wife) and CJ stayed late, made sure my equipment was safe and answered all my questions. I value and appreciate their acts of service and kindness just doing their jobs. They should all be commended for the example they promote for uhaul.

This will be long - First off, there was really poor communication between the online ordering of the U-Boxes and supplies that I ordered online and were supposed to arrive with the boxes. When I asked the location about getting the supplies earlier, they didn't know what supplies I was talking about - the supplies did not show up on the work order. I did a new order of supplies online, and the receipt indicated the order would be assembled and waiting for me at the store - when I arrived, they had no idea what I was talking about and then rushed around putting together the order. After arriving home, I could see that they did not give me the metal bars that go with the wardrobe boxes, so I had to return to the store to get them. Also, they gave me the dishpak inserts, but not the box that the insert goes into - a waste of money. I didn't realize that until I was going to use it the next day. I did not return to the store for that box. I was called to confirm that the U-Boxes would arrive to our house on the scheduled day, they also talked about the supplies that I had ordered - I told them that the store didn't know anything about it, and in the meantime I had gone to the store to get the supplies (see above). They then informed me that the truck had broken down and it was impossible to get me the U-Boxes on the day they were to be delivered (a Friday) - they said the soonest they could get them to me was Monday - AFTER THE WEEKEND THAT I HAD PLANNED ON DOING THE PACKING!! They finally delivered 2 of the 3 boxes on Monday - and the 3rd didn't arrive until the next day - the day before the professional movers were coming. The 3rd box had not been cleaned and had a couple crumpled furniture pads instead of the 24 clean pads that should have come with it. I called and was told that the pads would be delivered to us by 10am the next day (while the movers were there) - no pads were received and the store said to come get them - we had to go to the store and get the pads - we needed all hands on deck for the move instead of driving to a store to get what was supposed to be in the U-Box - dirty as it was. Total inconvenience. Are you getting the idea that this was horrible service? Not to mention numerous calls to U-Haul that generally averaged 40 minutes to an hour on hold. Thank goodness moving isn't stressful…. I had plenty of time to sit on hold. When they came to pickup the boxes, the driver was driving a box van and couldn't see to line up the truck to the hitch on the U-Box trailer - so I had to assist with each hookup. There should have been another helper - or you folks need cameras on the back so they can align with the hitch. And now - the ONLY good news - when I asked for the U-Box delivery to our new house, I was asked if we could change the date - I had already booked movers - so - they did make the effort to keep the date as scheduled. The driver that delivered the U-Boxes was the ONLY thing that went right. She was professional, did extra care to fit all boxes in the drive for easy access and was a smart and caring employee - she needs a raise. So - basically a brutal experience that cost time, money and kept a level of frustration and helplessness that could have been avoided if the stores and the U-Box communication was interlinked - there are so many places to improve what could be a great service that U-Haul has offered. Please note that without too much effort, I could recall nearly all of the experience a month later - that tells you what an impression this made on me. I hope this detail will help you identify ways to improve this service, I for one wouldn't recommend it to anyone until there is evidence that steps had been taken to get on the customers side and really deliver what you promised.

I have a Uhaul account and another locker in use. I was simply opening a 2nd locker and the number of questions and requests for 2 back up names and numbers at different addresses to mine seemed very odd. It took a lot longer to open the 2nd locker than I would have expected

For two years I had oil, pink in color dripping into my unit. Each time I complained, the oil was cleaned, but they never fixed the problem at it's source. Each time claiming they couldn't locate the owner of the init above me. In May 2020, I paid for May & June storage. At end of May myself & husband went to get some items out of the unit. The pink oil was again dripping into my unit. We had to clean it ourselves... then we just took everything out and terminated our storage. I asked for a refund of June rent, I was told I had to speak to the manager, so I left a message for him to call. He never called. I tried calling him and just got a recording with no option to leave a message. The Salisbury UHaul is filthy and there is no resolution to problems... alot of my personal belongings were damaged and had to be discarded. In my opinion, I think this facility is terribly managed... Never store belongings there!!
