They rented trailer missing marker light ( right rear) but had problem letting me take the trailer because had a short in wires and running lights worked but brake didn't . Was simple fix as soon as got home Just small things but I refuse to pay what you're teyi g to charge me with out even calling me and saying a word if this is how you run a business then I'm going to really have a long job ahead and . This location was great. U-Haul corporate no so much. You should not advertise trucks at locations and provide an online reservation number when that location do not have trucks and then send your customer to another location. NOT GOOD.VAUGHAN H.
Rented a car trailer. The trailer brakes did not work properly. Every time I went to stop it felt like the trailer was going to come off the hitch. I called several times for roadside service and no one showed. I tried returning the trailer to a local dealership about 45 minutes from were I rented it and they would not take it. Had one of the employees from the Santa Maria dealership were I returned it con firm the brakes were faulty. I will never rent from U Haul again.JOSEPH L.

Overall, this location was fine. I have more issues with my overall UHaul experience. I reserved a UHaul well I'm advance. Uhaul had me running all over town to fulfill my rental request all because the person before me didn't drop their rental off in the location where I was to pick up the truck. Also, I requested a 15ft truck and all I could get was a 10 ft truck. I wish they would've suggested a trailer as well but I didn't think of that until later in the day. Then UHaul AGAIN had me running all over town the next day to pick up a trailer when the same thing happened, the person before me didn't drop off their rental when they were supposed to. I understand it's not UHaul's fault for customers not dropping off the equipment when they're supposed to, but I wish UHaul would've been more proactive about instead having me run around the whole town. They wasted my time and my 2-day moving plan turned into a 3-day moving experience all because UHaul wasn't proactive and had me running all over town looking for a truck and trailer.Veronica M.

Throughout the experience, uhaul was not adherent to the contract, provided inconsistent and/or inaccurate information when issues occurred, was not timely and was not accommodating. In addition, the wait times when attempting to resolve issues through customer service were unacceptable and there was a general impression from many staff members of "not my problem" or "deal with it." In addition, staff failed to close out the contract leading to additional erroneous charges to my account but somehow closed out the complaint I filed prior to any disposition. Overall, I was not satisfied with the experience on any level and will not use this company in the future or recommend it to others. While these are strange times and I tried to be flexible due to this, there was not one aspect of this process that uhaul was in charge of that did not have problems.Briahnne M.

The convex side mirror On the drivers side was loose and would not hold in place. This was a safety hazard until I taped it. I hope they repaired the unit before renting it again.RUDY E.
It was drizzling, and the truck was far away from the checkout area; I had to walk back and forth a few times to complete the checkout. It would be better to have the trucks that are going to be picked up early, like mine (7:30am) closer to the front where that keys and check out process is. Also, it would be nice to have a table outside for self check out as it would be easier for taking pictures of driver's license etc.Cary C.

When the trailer was hooked up it wasn't fully fastened down to the hitch by the uhaul employee. When we got to our house it was barely sitting on the ball. Luckily the chains were fully attached or else it could have been very bad.THOMAS A.

My issue is not with the equipment. I was guaranteed a trailer rental at a location close to me for a move I had planned. Since the location did not have the trailer I had reserved online I was told I would qualify for a $50.00 refund. I have yet to receive this guarantee of the $50.00 refund and it's been 2 weeks since my move. I have been told my account would be credited back in 3 to 5 days. Then I was told 7 to 10 days.....not sure what the problem is. Don't promises a guarantee then not back it up... That's a bait and switch!John A.
Jose was courteous and very helpful in checking my trailer light connection and in making my reservation and answering all my questions. Pablo was very courteous and helpful when I returned the trailer. Another great experience.NOREEN M.
Mistakes were made from start to finish. They were rude and not helpful. They did not offer information or explain anything in detail. The truck was not ready to go and even though we were late, they would not adjust the time. If we had been on time the vehicle would not have been ready to go. I will never use this company again. I will be sure and let everyone I know what an absolutely HORRIBLE experience this was.EDWARD G.
When I went to pick up, the guy at this location told me there were NO availability when the parking lot was full.. he said they were all reset for LOCAL ONLY.. I asked him if he knew of another location? He said no... I went out in parking lot and got online and ordered exact same truck and it and same location and picked it up without any customer service rep .. pure internet and successfully drove off?Kim I.

Employees seemed less than thrilled to be working. They just handed me the keys and expected me to know which truck I rented from the 20ish on the lot. I asked him if he knew which parking space the one I rented was in (since the spaces are numbered and all) and he didn't know so I went and trial and errored all the 10ft trucks until the key worked. Filled out the reservation online including my CC number to save time but still had to go through pretty much the whole thing again so online is pretty pointlessJessica C.

Truck over heated, shorted me 3 blankets, location pickup had to drive an extra 35 miles and would not give extra miles and the attitude of staff was they dont care as if we were wasting their time away from their personal phones.. Everytime called 1-800 number hold time was 20 to 30 minutes. The truck that was given to me was old 162,000 miles back fired steering was bad, low oil, low coolent, and thetruck was filthy. The process was very quick and easy, my only complaint is that on the inspection I did they asked about the moving pads and dolly, which I didn't know were supposed to be included because they weren't in the truck I used, and those would have come very much in handy. Other than that, the process being easy really helped and I would definitely do it again.NICHOLAS C.

Equipment/truck was not available at the promised location, I had to drive an additional 6miles across town to another location, for this reason I was VERY upset... especially when I reserved the vehicle 5 days in advance... Not 1 call from ANYONE to notify me of ANY changes on my PROMISED location.. NOT an Apology from your in-person representative... once Again my overall Experience with U-Haul was HORRIBLE....NESTOR R.

Air conditioner don't work in the middle of the desert between California and Arizona. 2 mirror was lose and move out of position. Truck overheat in the middle of the desert lost 1 hs waiting. Truck was dirty inside and outside.Heriberto W.

I'm not sure if ALL U-Haul locations offer a military discount, but when I asked at this particular location, I received the answer of "no", they do NOT offer a military discount. Furthermore, the trailer was dirty when I arrived. The employee did offer to blow clean the trailer if I wanted him to, which was good on his part.Ruben C.

Staff was efficient, friendly. Location is an old Kmart and inside is a little messy - even still has some Kmart signs up. Also, counters were a bit awkward - looked like cardboard, maybe? I would spend a few minutes making it look more professional. Good experience throughout.MICHAEL S.
