When I walked in for a rental the young lady was talking to two other employees and there was lots of profanity used. Then a young gentleman was discussing how nasty his lunch was and kept asking if they wanted to try it. (Walking in with no face mask) Mid transaction she made a call I'm guessing to a supervisor to tell them about an issue with a pick up and kept using profanity then walked off to go get the other employee. They were so unprofessional. The only person who kept is professional was the older gentleman outside who helped me inspect the van and was very thorough. The day AFTER I returned the van I got a call asking about the van I was supposed to return. I will definitely not be returning to this location even if it is the closest to me.JANET B.

The worst customer service ever not helpful the guy had an attitude the whole time I got a trailer went home found out it didn't work for me went back like 15 minutes later he ignored me I was actually looking at another trailer and he took mine off my truck and said you should've measured before picking it up and walked away . The staff is very professional, honest and kind to their clientele . What the Company can do for the Vermont location is to have safe guards for its employees and clients there are a lot of homeless traffic at the Vermont location it's an eye sore. However, the staff is great as well as protective of its clients and that is why I continue to go to that location. If you are asking me to rate the staff they are great! The company have to take responsibility for safety. In my opinion U-Hail should put a fence around the building on Vermont I've seen them at other locations.LORETTA J.

U-HAUL location is the worst. No Freight elevator to carry heavy objects. So you have to carry everything to her narrow path up the stairs. I do not understand why the large store spaces are on the second floor where people with large items going into those spaces need a freight elevator.Astin D. | Overall Experience

He needs to get training on how to mount a trailer to a vehicle. The reason I am pointing this out is that after I left the Uhaul lot, an at several miles away, after going over a speed bump the trailer came off the ball, he did not secure the locking mechanism to the ball. I was so disappointed in the service.!!!! I would NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE INTO THAT CAODIC UNORGANIIZED MESS.! The staff there need #1 PANDEMIC, #2 CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING ASAP.!! Their business skills suck.!! If there was a minus 10 on the ratings that would sum it up. I made reservations with Fernando th day before I came in. I made it in last Sunday about 4:10pm, Matthew was working inside by hisself with no apparent concern for time until 4:30pm. He said he saw our reservation, but couldn't access it and if he couldn't access it in 10 minutes we'd have to come back tomorrow because he was off at 5pm and had somewhere else to be. We asked for a supervisor and was told there's no supervisor for that store. My son ask who do you report to.? We were told our store manager, but he's off on Sundays. We ask Matthew to call him because this situation warranted higher authority. He called Luis and told him the situation, because our Uhaul truck rental was round trip and was due back to Long Beach Uhaul by 7pm. Luis spoke with my son who explained our situation. Luis told my son he wouldn't be in until 7am Monday. Matthew spoke with Luis and explained the what the situation was on his end. We ask Matthew if he had tech support to help. Matthew said he wasn't trained in that area. Luis said he would call us right back in a few minutes and explain to my son what to do next. Luis called back, but seems from the conversation he and Matthew where not on the same page. Matthew said Luis didn't want to speak to us he told Matthew what to tell us.. We had to keep the Uhaul overnight. Our son, our, his help and my husband had to unload this 20 foot truck, because everything that was going to storage was loaded last blocking our bed, our clothes, everything we needed for home. I called customer service and explained the issue he took a complaint gave me references numbers and forwarded messages to the both stores managers in regards to our issues. I was told I'd would be contacted within 72hours We went back the next day and it was clear that these young men are children with NO APPROPRIATE TRAINING FOR THIS AREA OF BUSINESS. THEY HAVE NO VERRBAL SKILLS .WE ASK A QUESTION AND THEY'D SHAKE THEIR HEAD YES OR NO. THEY WHERE WEARING THEIR FACE MASK UNDER THEIR NOSE LIKE IT WAS AN ACCESSORY TO THEIR OUTFIT. NOT ONCE DID THEY USE THE HAND SANITIZER. AND THEY WHERE TOUCHING THEIR FACE,SCRATCHING THEIR NOSE OR FACE, TOUCHING THE KEYBOARD, THE DOORS, COUNTERS, CHAIRS YOU NAME IT. IT WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME IF THAT ENTIRE STORE CONTRACTED AND UNKNOWINGLY EXPOSED OTHERS TO COVID-19 AND THAT'S THE SAD PART. IT'S BEEN A WEEK I WAS TOLD I'D RECEIVE A FOLLOW UP CALL IN 72 HOURS. DIDN'T HAPPEN. MY SON HAD TO LEAVE WORK EARLY TO GET TO THE UHAUL ON VERMONT AND BACK TO LONG BEACH IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC BY 7PM. I WAITED TO COMPLETE THIS SURVEY TO SEE IF I WOULD CALM DOWN AND HAVE A BETTER OUT LOOK ON THE SITUATION. THIS UHAUL STORE MAKE ME SICK AND IF IT WHERE ANYTHING LESS THAN POOR IT WOULD SUM IT UP THE SERVICE WE RECEIVED ON EVERY TIME I'VE COME TO THIS STORE. I THOUGHT ABOUT THE SERVICE I RECEIVED 3 YEARS AGO WAS A ISOLATED INCIDENT, BUT. NO THIS IS HOW YOU OPERATE. UNPROFESSIONAL AND NO SKILLS IN THIS LINE OF BUSINESS IS PUTTING IT MILDLY.!!! I'D RATHER DO BUSINESS WITH THE HOMELESS PEOPLE THAT SLEEP AROUND YOUR BULIDING THEN WITH THE STAFF THERE. THREE YEARS AGO I RENTED A STORAGE UNIT SAME FOOLISHNESS. NO KEY CARDS TO GET IN, HAD TO COME BACK THE NEXT DAY BECAUSE THE SUPERVISOR KNEW WHERE THEY WERE KEPT. THEY FORGOT TO TELL ME I NEEDED A LOCK TO SECURE OUR STORAGE, THEY HAD TO COME BACK UNLOCK SELL ME A PADLOCK. THEY LEFT US STANDING OUTSIDE THE STORAGE, DIDN'T ASK IF WE UNDERSTOOD WHAT WE WERE DOING. THE MORE QUESTIONS I ASKED THE FASTER THEY GOT OUT OF THERE. THE MORE I DO BUSINESS WITH YOU THE MORE I UNDERSTAND HOW YOU OPERATE. THE ATTITUDE OF THE STAFF IS TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. IT'S YOUR CHOICE. BUSINESS AS USUAL. Send out your own management team to review or shop the location. Trucks are bing saved that didn't go out where as customers could have used them and brought them back the same day. Make sure your employees aren't telling customers that they mean less to them because the current truck is going to be taken out of town which is more money for them.RICKY F.

Issue #1 The 2 younger employees at this location had the worst customer service skills I've encountered in a while. There was very little respect showed to me as a paying customer. Their tone and wording was what you would hear between them and some peers. Issue #2 I was at U-Haul to rent a pickup truck and tow dolly. Despite having plenty of equipment, the cashier attempted to â€œcornerâ€ me into buying a tow hitch to connect the pickup truck and tow dolly. I was told they could not rent them and none of their pickup trucks or cargo vans are equipped with tow hitches per the manager. As I was thinking I noticed all of the moving vans were equipped with tow hitches. I decided I would rent a box truck in order to use the tow dolly which was my primary reason for using your rental services. My problem was that the cashier attempted to coerce me into buying equipment I don't need and did not have any suggestions on how to solve my problem. I understand the principle of increasing sells but not providing a complete package is not the solution.Johnathan D.

The agent was rude and at first said that they didn't have a truck for me despite having a reservation. When I inquired about the $50 reservation guarantee both seemed shocked and didn't understand what I was talking about. The location is poorly run and very disorganized. We were given contract statement with fuel at 1/4 but truck was actually on E with yellow light on. When we asked for corruption it took your agent a half hour to add enough gas for us to get to service station and we were not given credit for the total hour delay that We had to pay our workers. The facility was disgustingly dirty, I got half way into moving my stuff in when I notice a cockroach the size of my palm. Then I began to notice dead roaches all through out the facility. I was charged when I wasn’t supposed to be for my first month and I had to extend my rental reservation and move all of my belongings out of your storage because it was not properly maintained for users. Beyond disappointing and an incredibly stressful day. Also, the young man didn’t know how to do his job. He had to call his manager every five minutes. He was helpful and assured me I should not be charged for my extended reservation and I will be refunded fully for the unit I do not have.
