Upon entering the building there were three employees. Two were in the phone and the other was not. None of them acknowledged my presence. I stood for over fifteen minutes before any of them said anything. When I was greeted, it was by a brand new employee. I don't want to get her in trouble but she had no idea what to do, where the equipment was, how to hook up a tow dolly, etc. That's not the issue. The issue is that when she was desperately trying to find other coworkers to help her they were nowhere to be found. When I finally got the truck and hooked it up to a tow dolly the lights where not functioning. So we tried a second dolly and the trailer lights still would not work. I was in a huge hurry and didn't have time for them to keep switch up the equipment. The man in charge said "If you're fine without the lights then I'm fine with it. You're good to go" then walked away. He acted inconvenienced every step of the way with every customer I saw him interact with. He was either having a bag day or he really hates that job. Terrible customer service. I'll be leaving a public review.CORBETT H.

I have been renting trailers for about three years at the Jeffersonville UHaul location. Our animal Spay Neuter Rescue group River Valley Humane Society Indiana picks up pet food for animals in need on a regular basis in Kentucky and Indianapolis. Folks at the Jeffersonville location are always friendly and helpful. In fact I got checked in and on the road in record time last Saturday! And checked back in the same way Sunday morning! Make sure the vehicle is safe to drive. By repairing previous damage. The truck I rented had damage and damage stickers all over the bottom of the driver's door. The door would not close correctly. Then when you load the truck it makes a weird sound in the front. I was driving this truck in town only so I just finished what I had to do and took it back.Patrick F.

The staff was very unprofessional. The first experience I had at this location was leaps and bounds better. The gentleman who helped us was nice, but the other two on the staff were atrocious. The lady was trying to help someone with an order but was messing up; the other other guy on the staff was giving her tips but in a not nice manner, and when she was wrapping up the order she was talking very loud about how she was going to go home and leave for the day. And before all of this, I originally requested this to be my pickup spot, but my spot was moved, which is completely understandable. However, when I go pick up the truck at this new location, the location was CLOSED, so there was no one to give us the key for the truck. The entire time my order was telling me we would pick via the website and do the pick up ourselves and the key would be in a special unlockable box. Nope. No staff, no box. So our order was moved backed to this Jeffersonville location. I was told I would be getting $50; I do not think I see that on my card statement as of yet.Keith M.
Picked up cargo van with no gas but the paperwork said that it had a quarter of a tank and if I didn't bring it back with a quarter tank I would be charged $33 plus $5 per gallon. But I showed the employee where the tank was on empty and he said if it is less than a quarter of a tank it will cost me $45 more. Even though I was bring back the van with an eighth of a tank of gas. So I was forced to put $10 more of gas in order to not get charged $45 extra money. He said this is the policy and nothing he could/would do.PATRICK Z.

Tell them to ask for Robert. He seemed to be the only one who got things done. I would have scored lower if not for the customer care he showed. James was nice but a general manager should know what is going on with his staff. David needs training on communication and punctuation and should not be left in charge at all. 3 days later i left with job done. Well done at that. Communication and actual management direction would help in that store. Unorganized and lack of leadership was obvious. And of course they are short people like i am in my restaurant so that adds to everyone's frustration, i understand that completely.Heidi S.

Show the renters the truck they will be renting and ensure the equipment is in the trucks before renting. We had to walk around the lot to find our truck and when told where it was, it wasnt there. We entered again and the employee was irritated that she had to leave and stepped in a puddle on a rainy day. We recieved poor customer service and after booking online and it needing a deposit, they charged me again at the counter and then again for extra mileage (understandable). I am hoping to contact someone there today to get the deposit charge off of $139.00.Ashleigh Y.

Cup holder had something very wet and sticky in it. Very gross. The truck was literally on fumes. Three gas stations within a mile. I didn't think I was going to make it to one. The ramp take some getting use to as it has a special angle it likes in order to stow it.Samuel R.

I really don't know where to start. Front desk customer service was not friendly. The truck was dirty and damaged. Someone spilled soda all over the passenger seat and door and it was not cleaned. Interior was not cleaned at all. I would think with Covid that would be top priority for both your customers and your asscoiates. The pictures online were NOT updated to include the damage. The RR tire needed air. Dashboard told me so. When I asked attendant to please put air in the tire, he was not happy with me. Not sure if the team is just really that unhappy or if they did not like the color of my skin. Which by they way I NEVER ever say. The tire needed air the next morning and in fact we stopped 4 times to put air in the tire. Not sure why it is not just being replaced. Unsafe to drive in that condition. We were carrying a large load of furniture. Could have been bad to blow a tire.CHRISTINA M.
Had to dispute charges. They charged for fuel despite us adding fuel ourselves. Total usage was 11.9 miles, we added two gallons. There's only one reason they would charge for an additional 2 gallons when returning and it's not polite to say it.Sarah M.
No one ever answers the phone at this uhaul or any location. The guy who helped us gave us a hard sell on things we didn't need and excuses for mistakes uhaul has made and damage they've caused over the last few months during our move up to and including refusal of making reasonable repairs. I droped my vehicle at scheduled time they didnt get the hitch on till next day and then they also called that they could not complete the wire harness job . Poor customer service they did not call me to tell me that they did not complete the job for the hitch they did call and tell me they could not complete the job for wiring because the did not have the stuff to patch a whole up they had to drill ... would never recommend themDouglas L.

I had reserved a 6 by 12 trailer but when I arrived one was not available. Fortunately I was able to downsize to a 5 by 8 and get the job done. Had I needed the larger trailer, I would have been very upset. Employees were good, helpful, checkout was quick and hookup was easy.KEVIN M.
I rented my truck 2 months in advance. Had family come in from out of town to help me move. When I got there they had no truck for me. Was terrible waited there over hour. Was so upset. Tried to get me to take a 15 footer when I needed a 20 footer truck. Finally a guy waiting in line gave us his 26 footer and he took a 15. I guess if he had not stepped forward we would have been without a truck or would have to make several trips. When we got home no dolly no furniture pads which I paid for. Went back to get and did not have my dolly. It was terrible. Was not offered no discount or even a mileage reimbursement, poor management. Would not recommend. UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER!!LEAH F.

My sister and brother-in-law dropped the vehicle off after hours. There were homeless people wandering around the place and hanging out on the other U-haul vehicles that were present. Also, they saw several non U-haul vehicles driving around back there that appeared to be up to no good. My sister and brother in law did not feel safe doing the drop off after hours in the dark. The tow/haul light stayed on entire time. Wasn't able to acceralerate above 50 mph and we were truly concerned that the transmission was going to go out. We had 1 more load but we were afraid yo risk it so we parked it. Tje staff were rude and acted like we were interrupting there day. This location by far was the worst uhaul I have ever experienced. The lack of common customer service practices, knowledge and abilities regarding uhaul product and services, person appearances and just overall location cleanliness is down right embarrassing. The location offered appointment services with 30 min increments, and having a appointment at 1030am it took 6 hours to install my hitch. Think about it 6 hours, that is twelve appointments that were canceled or turned away. It takes an unexperienced individual up to 3 hours to install a hitch. It took you location 6 hours, and I watched two customers get told sorry you had an appointment but we can get to your car today. I would be ashamed to work for or manage or even own this location.Adam P.

The locations for pick up and drop were fine, but the overall experience of reserving a truck was terrible. I reserved a truck and time then equipment was not available for the day I needed it. The corporate scheduler said there were no trucks within 100 miles of my location and pushed my reservation back to next day. I called customer service and they basically told me too bad. Truly don't know if I will use uhaul again.Emil S.

I had mice in my storage unit which got into all my storage boxes. I’ve had to disinfect and clean a huge number of boxes that had priceless items stored within them. This infestation occurred early on and there was obviously a large number of mice. I mentioned the mice to the staff.l, but all they said is they would set traps outside the unit and that was it. The price for my unit was rather high for storage. I missed one payment on time one time and paid it within days of missing. They sent me at least 5 letters in the mail about the same issue. I am amazed to be asked to rate my experience, both because the location is aware of the disastrous outcome of my stay and the total indifference to the situation exhibited at the time. The unit I rented, 264, was broken into and items taken. The replacement value of the stolen items, $450-500, far exceeds the difference I would have paid at a more reliable storage facility. No effort was made to inform me of the theft, nor any offer made to review the video record that is supposedly kept. When I discovered the break-in the staff acknowledged it but could not tell me exactly when it occurred, despite ubiquitous signage about "24-hour monitoring" and "no access without authorization". I don't expect any response or further action, given the lack of response when the theft was relatively fresh, but I will certainly not recommend or endorse this location.Rodger M. | Overall Experience
