Our experience with U-haul in general on this day was TERRIBLE....we were sent to this location by 4 other uhaul stores. At the 3rd location we were told that "they couldn't look up on the computer which UHaul had what we needed because they don't update their systems". Also we purchased at the 4th location some packing tape which was old and we ended up throwing away. From the 3rd location we were sent to the 4th location....the lady was dumbfounded why the 3rd location sent us to them to correct billing error. The employee was rude and she sipped on her cold drink the entire time we were there....so UNPROFESSIONAL. Terrible experience ...JOEL M.

I was glad to obtain a U-haul that was only about 17 miles from my starting destination and am glad that I was offered the 60 miles option when I had to return at another location 10miles from my end destination. I traveled 57 miles for a 30 mile moving distance.RYAN C.

My experience was a 5star and the other one was maybe a two. mine worked together as a family I was very pleased and we will have to use it again in about a month I will be back. I made a reservation on April 8, 2021 for this rental. The pick up was supposed to be north Scottsdale. The day prior to the rental we were called and told to pick the trailer up in Apache Junction at 9:30 am. This was completely out of the way for us, but we did it regardless. When we arrived there, they did not have a trailer for us and we had to go to another location. What it the point of a reservation if you do not honor it?JEFFREY N.

Original reservation was made for a different location. I was moved a few days before pick up I was called and told I had to pick up miss you trailer at 6:30pm instead of 7am which actually would change the date I would move out (not possible). I was told to call dispatch if I wanted something different. Dispatch found me a trainer the day I wanted it at 1pm at a different location. I adjusted all my plans to move then after 1 instead of the morning. On the day of my move at 7:15 a third location called me and wondered if I was going to pick up my trailer??? I was so confused. They let me pick it up then at 1pm since that was when my family was planning the move since the first change. When I got there they told me their computers doubled booked all trailers and the one I wanted had another customer coming in at 4pm. Crazy right!!! They gave me the trailer and the rest of the move was fine. Seems the systems and customer experience leave a lot to be desiredKATHLEEN C.
Storage units are alarmed individually which is really nice. The facility is clean and they have bays you can pull into to load and uload. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The manager did not know his people had checked in the truck I had returned had a different number than what was in my contract. They should verify the vehicle number against the contract when they add it to their inventory. I had to return to the site to sort things out. They should have been able to do this on their own. They had a vehicle on their lot that should not have been there and this rang no bell for them. They hold the customer responsible for their screw ups. Very disappointed.AMITAVA B.

ORDERED TRAILER 2 WEEKS AHEAD SO IT WOULD BE CLOSE FOR PICKUP. WAS INFORMED 2 DAYS BEFORE PICKUP I HAD TO DRIVE 52 MILES EACH WAY TO GET TRAILER. IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS I WOULD HAVE MADE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS. VERY UPSETTING TO BE TOLD I COULD GET IT LOCALLY THEN HAD TO DRIVE UP IN TRAFFIC TO GET IT. First of all, I rented a enclosed trailer from you guys. Pulling it was like pulling a dead horse through quick sand. (Iowa to Arizona) this trailer would slow me down if I tapped on my brakes due to a car going slower in front if me the I could feel the trailer pulling me back. Going down a hill it would it would pull against me and made my vehicles transmission Rev up to 500/600 rpm's before it would shift down. I'm very upset about the crappy equipment and I'm sure the ware on my vehicle will show in time. Gas mileage was at least 3x higher then average. Then after driving all night to make sure I got to your location to upload it before my time was up. Every u haul except for the hubble location in dsm, IA were rude with NO CUSTOMER RESPECT! When I went to return the trailer I used your storage just so I wasn't charged extra. So I told the gentlemen I was rented a unit so I could put my things in there so it was unloaded on time. I mentioned that I was disabled, drove all night only to be put in a unit A LONG WAY FROM THE ENTRANCE! I FELT LIKE I WAS GONNA HAVE ANOTHER STROKE FROM UNLOADING IT. While unloading the trailer I noticed so many empty units. My question is why??? Why did I get a unit so far away being disabled. This is discrimination towards disabled folks. All of the folks I had to deal with(except Hubbell) were rude and had no respect towards me the customer. I WILL NEVER RENT ANYTHING AGAIN! I'll make sure I let everyone know how I was treated. THE gentleman in Oklahoma who I stop to talk to about the issues I was having made me feel like I was stupid. Sorry I actually think I knew more then him. He asked me to pop my hood, I was like Hu. But I did pop it open only to see he didn't know how to unlatch it. He then left to go help someone else. So I got out after seeing he had no clue how too. So I opened it up. He finally came back and he pulled the dip stick and said yup oil is fine. I almost cried laughing. I said dude oil has NOTHING to do with this issue. Just because I was aady he thought I was stupid. My anger grew even higher. By the time I left there nothing was solved. It's time for your company to get up to date with equipment. There's campers lighter then the dead horses you rent. I moved three refrigerators. A little juice flowed out of it, but when I returned it, the juice was dry like in the picture, so if I don't return it after attaching it cleanly, I'll take it with a 25-dollar vacuum cleaner. Need much improvement in the waiting time. When you have a truck reserved for a certain pick-up time, you shouldn't have to wait in line for 30 - 45 minutes, as if you didn't have it reserved already for a certain pick-up time.Fred W.
Changing pickup locations twice in 24 hours is a total nightmare scenario for someone who is in the midst of a move. We had to drive a 26ft UHaul all over the Phoenix metro area to get our trailer because of the two pickup location changes that were sprung on us. It cost a lot of money in gas and was incredibly stressful. We ended up leaving town 8 hours after we had planned to as a result and it threw off our entire schedule. Because we left so late we had to drive straight from Arizona to Oregon without stopping (32 hours of driving at 55 miles per hour) because the delay cut into the time we had factored in to sleep for the night and arriving late to Oregon would have meant missing the movers we had scheduled. This UHaul location was sorely understaffed and the staff that were there were very unhelpful. We were told that we had to pay them in order to get guidance with hooking up and using the trailer we were renting. The cost of the trailer was also much higher than what I was quoted when I made the reservation. Our entire experience, between the pickup and drop off of both our truck and auto trailer, was terrible. We have always used UHaul for our moves and never as a problem before but I will be looking into alternate options the next time we have to move again in a year.DANA L.

In order to get this paid, I was on the phone several different times for over four hours. The staff = very good. This is however a former H-depot or Big box store and so you cannot easily drive up & unload big items . We had a 3 bedroom house & my 2 children and I TRULY struggled to get our stuff through a smaller (like a front door width) back door of facility. I was told ALL the front units near the double doors were ‘in use’. They should advise location of doors & size in the climate controlled areas. When I went to move out it seemed that the employees there were very nonchalant about the situation. The facility needs a lot of work. The doors to enter don’t work all the time. The staff is the most incompetent group of individuals I have ever met. Anytime I’ve had to go into the office to buy or rent anything it’s a minimum of 1 hour ordeal, that’s if I can find anyone. Half the time when I walk in the office there are no employees to be found.
