Overall awful experience with UHaul/U-Box delivery. Initially receiving the U-boxes was okay, and then while they were in storage that was also okay. Trying to get them to ship the boxes to us from Canada into the United States was a very long process, as they required us to be in the United States to start the shipping process. Annoying, but understandable, fine. We were in the United States for 10 days before the boxes even left, they were supposed to arrive on September 7th however they did not. We called multiple times in the days following, no one knew where the boxes were, they repeatedly stated that they are unable to track their carriers so they do not know where the boxes are. After being told that they would arrive on the 9th of September, they also did not. They were still unsure of where the U-boxes were exactly. The whole time we were waiting for the u-boxes, we were sleeping on air mattresses and sitting on lawn furniture, which is especially difficult with a 2 year old and a pregnant wife. Finally we receive notification that the containers will be delivered to our house on September 12th. The lady who was transporting the boxes arrives on our road and refuses to drive up the road stating it is too steep, which it absolutely is not, the week prior we had full size transport trucks up to our house without any problems delivering bulldozers, and our neighbor who lives further away on the road built his entire modular home without difficulty. The woman refused to bring the boxes to our house and wanted to return them to the storage, we were able to convince her to leave them around 600 ft from our house, on our neighbors property (who we contacted emergently and we're okay with it). Overall an awful experience, would not recommend using u-box if there are any alternatives present.Almir K.

Declined coverage twice, was charged. Manager said i selected on the screen which i could not see to read. Its deceptful. I declined coverage on the reservation & again declined verbally when checking out the truck....furthermore to consciously charge me when I called them out is borderline fraud. We rented 2 uhauls for this day. Next time Ill be sure to go with other more honest companies.Mary R.

I had an unusual experience in that I acquired the unit and contents due to being an executor. April was so helpful showing me around and giving me information. Rebecca responded with information and kindness when I called or stopped in to seek advise. I rented a trailer which was so convenient. The only downside is that I don't live in Windsor because I would certainly not hesitate to go to that facility again. The staff at this facility was, by far, more accommodating than any other storage facility I have used in the city of windsor. My mother was unable to afford her monthly rental payments for the unit I rented for her. However this staff at this particular facility went above and beyond in service and customer care to insure that we were able to recover her stored items. I will only be using this facility be it truck or storage rentals because of the high quality customer service we received even though we were not a "run of the mill," case for the staff. There was a wait in store as there was only 1staff member. The wait wasn't too long but an extra counter member would have expedited the process. However this was very minor.Mike A.
What a mess! Gas guage on agreement indicated 15/16 full. My error was that I didn't double check this. Within 2 minutes of leaving with my rental, I notice it's only 1/2. I immediately call and attempt to rectify with their main operator as well as pickup location. They both said not to worry, take a picture of correct reading and all will be settled before drop off. WRONG...when drop off representative called in they were told to charge me for the missing gas. The rep at California Convenience DID a great job trying to help. It took 20 min but it was finally settled. Inspect EVERYTHING before you leave with your rental.Andre M.

Check-out was not seamless, as there was a mileage discrepancy associated with the previous customer usage. I had only needed the truck for less than 25 miles, as agreed to but the agent had to adjust the final bill manually, due to data entry errors. In the end, the manager "April" approved the change. My Pick up was for 230ppmbut we didn't get our rental till 415pm due to uhaul not taking care and making such everything worked. Thw light didn't work n they try to say it was our equipment which it was not.i waste a whole 1 hours plus because of Incompentent workers. This location had a bunch of workers but only one knew how to work the computers. You guys basically had people stand around do nothing and get paid if you look at your camera could see when I got to the location around 230pm . That there was multiple customers but one guy working the computer and one guys just sitting and doing nothing. ( I know if it was my business I wouldn't want to pay people for doing nothing) and if you guy are please hire me haha. But yes worst experience of my life with uhual so far.Pitar D.
After dealing with an unexpected minor accident with a rental trailer and paying the associated damages, despite having purchased an insurance plan, I was informed that in order to offload the trailer onto a replacement trailer, I would have to pay for a replacement trailer. Although I protested the situation no other alternative was presented to me. I left the premises extremely disappointed and proceeded to offload the trailer and unhitch the trailer solo. Understanding that the facility on Walker is apparently being staffed by neophytes I have to say as a repeat customer of this company I'm beyond disappointment. The trailer door was difficult to close when we brought it home. Once we arrived at our destination and opened the door we were unable to close it again. Overall, I had an excellent experience. The only negative was the bird dropping that I found on an item. It occurred because there is no roof on the unit, just a grate which the bird likely sat on to do it’s business. Luckily the item is plastic and there was no harm so it wasn’t an issue for me; however for people who are storing items that can potentially be ruined by bird droppings it may be something to consider.lisa k. | Overall Experience

Had to leave because of fear that I was not going to be able to stay because of the expansion of the indoor storage was moving out the rv storage. During the transformation I found many nails around on the floor. Hopefully no one gets one in a very expensive tire. But for the years I was there everyone was very helpful and nice.
