The staff was friendly, but when I asked if I needed a lock they told me it would be on it. It wasn’t, and when I went to the office, I was told they didn’t have any! I ended up purchasing a lock type that isn’t allowed, and was told they would let me know when the correct type come in. Does this mean I have to purchase another lock? I also wish there was staff within the storage area? To have trucks that were already unloaded told to move out of the way of others. I was delayed over 2 hours because an empty truck blocked access to my storage area. I was paying movers by the hour! Cost me a lot of extra money! No one from Scheduling contacted us like I was told they would the night prior to pick up. They also transferred us on the phone to another location on Dougal Ave where we waited on hold for 45 mins. Only to call back the original location and process the order through them on Walker RoadKARLAM J.
Associate Rebecca was so helpful. I booked the wrong sized unit and only had an hour to unload the truck before it was due back. She promptly found me a larger storage unit and made it so I had more time to unload the truck. She was personable, kind and very helpful. I arrived stressed and left relaxed. I send a great deal of gratitude. Unfortunately I did not catch the name of the other associate working but she too was so very helpful and even came to check on us in the storage facility to see how the move was going. Outside was a deluge. Not pouring rain, but "where's Noah Ark, and how can I get a ticket on it" rain. Becca, had to go out with me 3 times (my fault), and she not once said something. Manager is incompetent and should not be working over seeing other employees she should be in a factory.. I was told I needed a credit card to pick up my reservation I told her just give me a couple minutes and I will get you a credit card number over the phone here she sat there quietly while I made phone calls trying to collect a credit card number.. after 10 minutes of phone calls and frustration she then tells me that the card must be inserted in the machine and the card holder must be present I said wow wish I knew that 10 minutes ago and quickly ran out to get said credit card holder. Upon returning she offered zero apologies for my frustration which was her fault if she had said from the get-go that she needs the credit card and the card holder to be present and that the card number itself will not work then I would not have wasted so much time I was late to my arrival because of her. A man was in front of us when we had returned and we're waiting for our turn. This man clearly said that he is going to be moving furniture that is infested with cockroaches in the U-Haul truck and it went right over her head she didn't understand what he meant at all and just said everything's fine and dandyâ€¦ lastly she is convinced that she has to make a phone call to our emergency contact and have them physically pick up the phone in order to go forward with the rental I'm sorry but that is complete bogus never in my life have I had someone call my emergency contact to verify.. I'm not really sure what to comment on. I had never rented a uhaul before this past weekend. I reserved online which was so easy, I picked up during business hours and spoke to a customer service representative who had answered all my questions and kept the process simple. Drop off was simple as well. 10/10 the employees were helpful, the equipment was PERFECT, the price was SOOOO inexpensive and the process was really smooth despite the anxiety I had due to it being a first time thing for me. If I HAD to make a suggestion to help improve, I would suggest just having someone at drop off greet you and explain â€œI'm going to check over the uhaul nowâ€ so someone (like me) isn't sitting there their first time wondering what's going on.Brianna K.

It's ridiculous I moved out 7 days after the last payment. Rented a uhaul to move and still couldn't get the week for free after storing stuff for 2 years there and not missing a payment. I rented the truck for three days to move from Oshawa to Windsor and had the truck back within two but was told that no refund can be given for the extra day.JOHN W.
The location didn't have the furniture dolly I requested, and I didn't see a refund applied to my account after the fact. The Uhaul 9' cargo van had a check oil light on the entire trip, leaving me feeling worried the entire time. The tank of gas also wasn't full when I received it, so I had to stop and top it up before my long drive. The girl who was working though was extremely please to talk to, and overall quite lovely, but I had to remind her about the items on my order and if I hadn't I would have driven off without my boxes that I purchased.DANIEL P.

We rented a trailer. The pickup experience was ok, Wait to pickup was long. The trailer was good until I needed to unhook from our truck, the Jack that holds the tongue up was terrible, I had trouble taking it off the truck hitch and lowering it to put it back on. I was almost late returning the trailer trying to get the Jack to raise. When I got back to drop it off I told the person checking me back in and they said that the new jacks were junk and the old ones were better but no apology or even acknowledgment that it was a Bad experience. Unprofessional customer service specially the women's behind the desk i was looking for 26 ft truck to go long distance they can find one for me she said you have to call the traffic service we don't have any truck available and this is the 3rd time i visit 3 different locations in one day ,i called the traffic service and he find me a truck in the same location. I went back and i told her she said ok and she did the paperwork and after i go to the truck the Odometer reading was different than on the paper . I rented 2 units And the second unit was changed 3 times before I arrived. Was very stressful not knowing if I had a unit to move into !!!! Also reserved a truck that wasn’t available on my day. My invoice is currently in dispute with your management team because I was charged 2 days of rental for equipment that I only had for 8 hours. Even the customer service rep agreed with me to escalate the case because the agent at the store put that it was a 6 hour rental even though we were told that we could return the equipment at anytime overnight as they had another customer who needed it in the morning. There was no mention of 6 hours in our discussion. I would not recommend this location. Also the pick up point was changed 3 times, causing Extra chargeable milage. Manager May call me to follow up. The employees I dealt with had absolutely no idea what they were doing. My elderly mother had to detach the trailer from my car as the young boy stood there and watched her do it. A great experience! April and the rest of the team were unfailingly helpful and personable, and went above and beyond to make sure any of my questions were answered promptly and completely. The location always had a good supply of boxes and packing supplies. On that note, they recommended their paper packing tape (sticky on one side but you can tear it by hand and the torn end is easy to lift) and I, in turn, recommend it as well. I reserved a dollie for Sep 1. Went to pick it up on Sep 1st and they did not have my name in the computer. I explained to the lady that I was there only to pick up a dollie. She then asked for names and numbers of contacts. I couldn't understand why it was taking so long. After all the questions and the information entered into the computer I find out she just rented me a storage unit. On Sep 25, I receive an email from U-Haul informing me of my upcoming payment on the storage unit that I never rented. I called and talked to the same woman who had made the mistake and she said that she has difficulty hearing at work due to wearing masks and being behind glass. She then told me that she had just removed my email and information from the computer. I have my doubts about this as she never removed my information to begin with when I had been there on Sep 1. I will never again do business with U-Haul. I had the worst experience ever when renting the truck. They were short staffed for the 1 st of the month. And I rented a truck from Walker road got there and they sent me to Dougall. Then I rented the storage area and the man told me and my helper we had 5 hours after they close to use the locker and we got there it was closed. Now I need to find someone to help me again today unload into a locker and hope I don't get charged for extra time. We called the U-Haul after hours and she said we have the truck till 2 45 do I hope I can find help to unload it now. I have never been so unhappy with u haul in my life. You should charge for gas usage by the e.p.a rating not the needle reading. Odometers are correct not your eye sight on a gauge. I drove 19 miles that vehicle gets about 12 mpg. I was amazed by the quality of service provided by the store manager and her team. They were professional and courteous throughout the duration of my rental. I have rented a storage at other places before so I know the difference between good and bad service. The service I received here was excellent. When I read some of the reviews, I was leary but after talking to the one staff member (I wish I caught his name) he answered my questions and assured me the past problems were taken care of. We were very pleased with our dealings with UHaul in both Windsor and in Winnipeg. I found the service exceptionally helpful in both locations. Everyone was polite and helpful and practiced excellent customer service. Rebecca and Nathan and Miriam and Karen in Windsor were great and at the end of the trip we met two fabulously helpful young men whose names I fear I may have forgotten.- Palaver and Dandevar? They were remarkable and we wouldn’t hesitate to use Uhaul again because of these two young men. They made everything effortless. Thank you! I was satisfied eithbthevfavility until I went to pack it up. Everything in the locker was covered in mouse poop and I mean COVERED! Boxes were full of it. Mice were running around the unit. One jumped out of the box and we found dead mice inside of boxes. Everything should have been thrown out. We had to go nox by box outside once home and wash and disinfect everything. As well we had to shampoo furniture. It was disgusting to say the least. Many boxes went directly into the garbage. After the last issue with water entering the facility, I feel that the generic "due diligence" in maintaining the facility may not have had all the information I needed to be comfortable with the end result. Regardless of the insurance on my unit, the owner could have provided that there were certificates pertaining to internal structural integrity after the repair contracts were completed. I understood that the repairs were properly completed. I did not pursue the matter any further. Staff sucks at this location. Made fun of my mental illness, manager was rude, lazy, and not helpful. My unit got locked when it wasn’t suppose to be. My whole day was inconvenienced. We had to wait until the manager decided to come in so we could get our unit unlocked. The whole experience sucked majorly.
