This is the 6/7th uhaul location checked in which no one was help until hot to Joshua and Levi.
A different location even turned us away, to go to this one, and Joshua had to go to that location to get the part i needed. Absolutely fantastic service

The location was fine, and staff was good, other than the fact that I made.a reservation in Feb 2026 to pick up much closer than to where I needed it. This required me to drive an extra hour round trip. I understand you have trucks moving all over the place at the end and beginning of months in particular, though this was very inconvenient for me to pick up, and at a time that did not quite work for my schedule

I've been around long enough I've been occasionally renting trucks for 40 years from all sorts of outlets. The Springfield, both for UHaul, and overall, was top tier. The rep - look up who signed off on my contract - was the best and deserves promotion and reward in the company. I was expecting a sub par experience as it began that way (more below) but when I got to the Boston street Springfield location, it was smooth and easy and enjoyable. Rep was the best but the whole place looked well run.
The app was flawless, which was a surprise. I was expecting glitches and was reluctant to use it but no issues. No crashes and the UI was dead simple.
Only overall rental hitch is that I got a call prior to the rental (day and a half prior) moving my location 40 mins away. It seems to me the rep hung up on me while I was looking up the location on my computer. I was like, hang on while I look it up, and she said, "sure". But then the phone went mute on her end like she muted it. After the line died I expected a call back but didn't get one. I had wanted to change the time to earlier as I knew I'd need a hotel near the location, to pull off the pickup logistics of this trip. I had an email about the change too, and it said to email to make any changes, which I did, but I never heard back. Luckily, it didn't mater. I showed up a couple hours early anyhow and the Springfield Uhaul got me in a truck in 5 mins or so. 5 stars to them and the system that allowed them to have such a positive climate.

Pick up was completely disorganized, was hard to find anyone for help and the employee I interacted with seemed upset and angry making the interaction awkward .
Then to top it off, the location is scamming people with post drop off cleaning fees. It poured rain for the duration of my rental, making it impossible to keep it clean.. I am totally supportive of having to pay a little extra since there was some dirt and mud. But $250 is a scam to clean a metal floor with a hose.

Picked a trailer up Saturday at a little after 3pm and returned it Sunday at 9:30am. On Monday I received asking if I returned the trailer, I stated it was returned at 9:30am on Sunday. On Tuesday I received an invoice with an additional $20 charge for using the after hours return. The guy who helped me get the trailer was great and he was the one who unhooked it after I returned it, everything post return was unacceptable

I will start with the positive.
My reservation and check in was quick and smooth and the woman was helpful and pleasant.
The truck was exactly as expected in good condition ,drove fine, proper size for my needs.
Drop off via the app was easy, contactless and fairly quick.
My negative would be, Everytime I reserve a truck( which has been like 5 time in a year) it tells me the total due is X ..after adding my extras and picking my insurance and estimated mileage.
For example ,this time said $95 due at pickup for a full day with 40 miles.
I was told I couldn't get 24 hours and 7pm drop off was the latest, fine, 7pm it is.
Without changing anything, my total was 150..that's a big difference but I am stuck because I needed the truck then.
I felt like I was baited and switched.
Nothing changed, just the price.
Honestly, I am going to try a different place next time.

You’re online said that the insurance was not mandatory. When I went to get the truck the gentleman that gave me the keys said that the insurance was mandatory which cost me an extra $25. I don’t agree with that change your policy.

I rented a motorcycle trailer for a few hours. I actually brought it back early. The next day I get a voicemail asking when am I going to return the equipment. I called and explained that I already returned it. I was then charged 3X as much on my credit card. Five days later and I’m still waiting for the charges to be corrected. This is unacceptable.

Adam and his coworker were extremely helpful and friendly. They saved the sale…the UHaul corporate scheduling manager I spoke to on the phone on 7/5 regarding my truck rental was horrible, told me “UHaul could go out of business tomorrow and nobody would have a truck” when I asked how far I might have to drive to pick up my rental. He had told me they can’t guarantee there will be a truck near me, and he was being quite rude and sarcastic, telling me “Alaska” when I asked what the furthest distance would be that I’d need to go to pick up my truck (I live in MA). Again, Adam and the crew at the Springfield MA location were GREAT!

Front desk was friendly and helpful in answering my questions and getting me set up with the rental. The only critique I have is the cleanliness of certain portions of the storage area. Specifically the storage unit doors and outdoor lights having grime and cobwebs over them. It makes it seem like the facility is not well kept. However this is one of the nicer locations I’ve done business with and do appreciate to e positive customer service provided.

The staff is very friendly, but there are too few staff to meet the needs, so the wait time was always way too long to be convenient. It is not appropriate to have a twenty plus minute wait time every visit and the electronic access to the building with the cards often malfunctioned, so we were denied access. This was very inconvenient! The place was super clean and the people were great but over burdened with understqffing and poor technology to top it off.

Your stuff will be secure from people. Location is convenient. Beware… with inside/outside storage. The place definitely has rats. The rats will poop in and all over everything. Make sure to wrap every single and have nothing opened for rats to jump in.

Working with Brent was always a pleasure, I would say he went above and beyond during the three years I was there. The staff was always pleasant to deal with and helpful. Would definitely use U-haul Boston road again if needed. A huge thank you, and would definitely recommend this store. No lighting INSIDE unit so I couldn't see well when I would search for things I had to bring stuff on on narrow walkway to search through my things and roofing inside unit was horrible no access to a bathroom near storage units only in office area which had limited hours.

I didn't have any trouble with the storage facility part of my contract. My issue is with the truck that I rented out on Saturday to move out my belongings. The truck was dragging to shift from 2-3 &3-4 gear and before I would put my foot on the brakes, the truck would jerk. Then the keys was stuck in the ignition. I believe I should be compensated money wise for the headache I went through with this truck. I don't know how it passed inspection. Since 1073 I have been a customer of u-haul loyaly. It's unfair.

AWFUL! Was issued a 210$ credit instead of the refund I was supposed to receive after renting a truck and “free month of storage with truck rental” was apparently bs. Had to pay for my storage unit and was told I was going to be issued a refund and instead a credit that I DONT want to use because I will NEVER be using uhaul again. Not to mention being locked out of my unit when it was paid ?!?! NOT HAPPY A CUSTOMER !!!!
