I was charged $11 for gas when I filled up a mile away from location

At truck return and drop off after 3 hours and 24 miles of driving. I could not remove gas cap to put in some gas because gas cap was broken. The Uhaul rep told me they would put in gas and replaced the gas cap. They charge me $29 in gas and over $140 charged to my credit card for 24 miles of driving, What a rip off.

Was charged for gasoline, the truck had 1/2 tank of gas at pick-up time and was returned with the tank 1/2 full at dropped time . Not sure of the reason for the charge , also wen I got to the store I was told that the reservation i made for the truck was not possible because the on line system overbooked and only way I could take the truck was for 2 to 3 hours.

The truck needed to be serviced. 116000 miles . The steering box had incredible slopdangerous to drive keep trying to change lanes /constantly correcting steering it started to shake at 50 and continued as u accelerate very stressful and dangerous on me not very happy with the experience next time Hertz

reserved a truck. pulled up and asked attendant about a truck, he said computers were down and to wait 15 minutes. I kept checking with him every 15 minutes and kept giving me same story for an hour. I called to see if there was another location that i could get a truck and explained the situation, he transfered me to local scheduling and she said there was no computer issues and within a minute the owner or manager was out to help. Come to find out he was on a zoom meeting and was too busy to check in customers while on his phone meeting. We were there wasting an hpur and a half in the rain ti get a reserved truck that should have taken minutes. I definitely dont appreciate having my tie wasted or being lied to

Nothing to improve! This was the first time I had rented a U-Haul and I was a bit nervous but the visit to get the truck was quick, they answered all my questions! Very helpful and kind when I called to let them know I was a bit behind schedule/ drop off. They were understanding and just looked out for my safety. Very smooth drop off! This was one of the best customer service experiences I have encountered! Thank you and I will be using your services again if needed!

Time to do the actual rental seemed excessive, it was 40 minutes from when I walked in the door until I drove the truck away. On return, I got there very close to 8pm, and was told to go outside and use the after hours dropoff, so I ended up being charged for an extra day.

Have the truck brought to the customer. I have a hard time walking and having to walk to the back of the parking lot to find my truck by number was ridiculous and painful. Also was very hard to get into the truck, would help to have a step up outside the truck. Brought the truck back three hours early and no discount.

I ran into a problem with the pre-inspection check. When I made my reservation, I checked “counter check-in.” while at the store I was instructed to use my mobile device, which was at home since I thought I didn’t need it and thus could not complete the pre-inspection checklist until I got home.. when returning home a short time later I attempted to immediately complete the inspection however, during the middle of the exercise, the app timed out, and I was unable to complete it, leaving myself, potentially exposed to unwarranted charges for damage although there was none I don’t like being subjected to potentially false claims. In addition, the pre-inspection check should have been performed with the counter person at the store and myself live and in person I am tired of companies using mobile devices to circumvent real employees work responsibilities.

Adam and his coworker were extremely helpful and friendly. They saved the sale…the UHaul corporate scheduling manager I spoke to on the phone on 7/5 regarding my truck rental was horrible, told me “UHaul could go out of business tomorrow and nobody would have a truck” when I asked how far I might have to drive to pick up my rental. He had told me they can’t guarantee there will be a truck near me, and he was being quite rude and sarcastic, telling me “Alaska” when I asked what the furthest distance would be that I’d need to go to pick up my truck (I live in MA). Again, Adam and the crew at the Springfield MA location were GREAT!

Front desk was friendly and helpful in answering my questions and getting me set up with the rental. The only critique I have is the cleanliness of certain portions of the storage area. Specifically the storage unit doors and outdoor lights having grime and cobwebs over them. It makes it seem like the facility is not well kept. However this is one of the nicer locations I’ve done business with and do appreciate to e positive customer service provided.

The staff is very friendly, but there are too few staff to meet the needs, so the wait time was always way too long to be convenient. It is not appropriate to have a twenty plus minute wait time every visit and the electronic access to the building with the cards often malfunctioned, so we were denied access. This was very inconvenient! The place was super clean and the people were great but over burdened with understqffing and poor technology to top it off.

Your stuff will be secure from people. Location is convenient. Beware… with inside/outside storage. The place definitely has rats. The rats will poop in and all over everything. Make sure to wrap every single and have nothing opened for rats to jump in.

No lighting INSIDE unit so I couldn't see well when I would search for things I had to bring stuff on on narrow walkway to search through my things and roofing inside unit was horrible no access to a bathroom near storage units only in office area which had limited hours.

I didn't have any trouble with the storage facility part of my contract. My issue is with the truck that I rented out on Saturday to move out my belongings. The truck was dragging to shift from 2-3 &3-4 gear and before I would put my foot on the brakes, the truck would jerk. Then the keys was stuck in the ignition. I believe I should be compensated money wise for the headache I went through with this truck. I don't know how it passed inspection. Since 1073 I have been a customer of u-haul loyaly. It's unfair.

AWFUL! Was issued a 210$ credit instead of the refund I was supposed to receive after renting a truck and “free month of storage with truck rental” was apparently bs. Had to pay for my storage unit and was told I was going to be issued a refund and instead a credit that I DONT want to use because I will NEVER be using uhaul again. Not to mention being locked out of my unit when it was paid ?!?! NOT HAPPY A CUSTOMER !!!!
