I rented a 6x12 cargo trailer, I used it to move furniture this afternoon with no issues. However when I opened up the trailer the floor was covered in red dirt, almost like someone was hauling dirt and forgot to blow/hose it out. Didn't affect me whatsoever today but just something for you guys to note because some people would probably throw a fit. Otherwise all good. Interior lights in the cab and trunk were not working and would have been helpful to not load in the dark. A warning light in the lower right corner of the dash needs to be investigated as well as a new gas cap needs to be replaced. The mileage out did not match the picture I took before leaving the facility resulting in overcharge on the mileage but was credited on the statement.Carol F.

Staff are knowledgeable and helpful but not as friendly/customer service oriented. They’re not rude or anything (thank you for that!), it is just that they’re always explaining and doing everything in a rush. The box was destroyed after the driver hit a tree 2 blocks from my house. No one called me, I happened to drive by and see it. Many of my items were destroyed and I had to unload my box in the middle of the road into a new box. The insurance company never called me. My new box was BOLTED SHUT for some reason so when it arrived I was not able to open it. Nobody informed me of anything this whole time. Worst moving experience I've ever had.Graham T.

This was about a smooth of a truck rental transaction as one can imagine. When I got there, the truck was pretty much waiting for me. I just got in and drove. And when I returned it, same thing: the guy was outside the drivers door ready to take the keys. Awesome service!David E.

Our check-in was messed up. We pre scheduled on line. The person helping us first got the wrong keys. Then gave us a vehicle with half a tank of gas even though it was written down as full. She said she would fix it on the paper. Fortunately when we returned the vehicle it was obvious we had a vehicle that didn't match the paperwork. The mileage, plate number and gas level did not match. The person working the drop off was EXCELLENT. They made everything correct. We later discovered the mileage rate we got charged was $1.29, not the .99 we agreed to online making the reservation.leslie R.

En fin ,le dijeron a mi esposo que nos darían otro y el que nos dieron estaba en una ubicación muy mala para nosotros,fui a pedir que nos dieran algo más cercano y me hicieron esperar diciendo que nos llamarían pero no lo hicieron, y yo tenía el tiempo corto para mover mis cosas , tuve que ir al día siguiente personalmente a ver que pasaba con mi situación y en ausencia de la manager,otra persona del equipo me da un Storange más o menos como yo quería pero ya do voy a ocuparlo abrí la puerta y estaba lleno de cosas, ósea que me dieron uno que ya estaba ocupado, tuve que volver a ir a la oficina a decirles lo que estaba pasando, pero mientras hago tantas vueltas yo pierdo mi tiempo valioso que tenemos cuando hacemos una mudanza, después me vuelven a dar otro Storange esta vez fue el tercer intento de tener algo para mi Y finalmente me dan uno que no está ocupado por alguien más,pero otra vez aparece un inconveniente: Este no era el tamaño que yo necesito pero no me quedo otra opción que tomarlo porque ya no había. Check in process was very unclear. Did not receive a lock for my unit and had to provide my own to secure things. This meant my unit was locked by staff when I first came back to the unit. Did not receive an access card. This meant my alarm went off each time I opened my unit, since the code check in system did not work properly—there was no way to search for my unit and then enter my code, I only had the option to enter my code, which ended up disarming a different unit based on the first person using the same code alphabetically. This is hugely problematic. Never once saw staff check in when my alarm went off. Unfortunately, most of these things are par-the-course for UHaul, which is why I gave an average rating. At dropoff, the guy took the keys and indicated we could leave. When I indicated I wanted to stay for the damage inspection, mileage and gas level checks to avoid any issues later, he informed he cleaned the trucks prior to inspection. So we literally had to wait for him to clean the truck before he would check the mileage, gas, and damages. Seems rude and pointless to make customers wait.Ryan U.

1. Had evidence of mice. Droppings and what looked like they/it was chewing stuff to make a nest. 2. I lost my key and had my lock cut off. They didn't have any disk locks left, so they gave another lock. I came to my unit which is about 30-40 minute drive depending on traffic and my unit was double locked. I was pretty angry about that. I called the next day and explained this to a female employee who said they would remove the lock so that I could remove my items and move to another facility with better customer service. I told her I would be there that evening and she said she would have the other lock removed so I could take my stuff. She did not apologize for the staff being to lazy to call or email me advising i would need to stop by during business hours to switch out locks. I arrived after my 30-40 minute drive to find it was still locked. I contacted again the next day asking to speak with a manager, was told there was no manager to speak with and that they would remove the lock, employee did not apologize for my wasted trip. I didn't trust the staff to remove it so I waited until weekend to ensure someone would be there if they had not removed the lock. When I arrived it had been removed. Imagine going online and reserving an extra large unit to store a household of items in and then when you arrive, you are told that units of that size hadn’t been available in more than a year. While the employee offered to “set me up” with two 10x10 units not next to each other and one on the 2nd level, this was not what had been reserved and as it turns out, one of the units assigned was a “ghost unit” that wasn’t really there but showed up in the system. After searching for the unit and going back to the office where there was now a line of 15 people waiting, I got to enjoy that fun. A different employee then corrected the ghost unit issue so now I had to put my items into two separated units vice the one large unit that I had ‘reserved” a month earlier. I rented a truck. The uhaul employee who set up my reservation and gave me the truck screwed up all my information and nobody was able to find my reservation. He couldn’t find the uhaul storage facility I was returning the truck to, which was where my storage units were located and already verified I could return the truck there. He was supposed to set up an open ended reservation, but ended up assigning a returning uhaul facility, 1 hour away from my location. He didn’t explain anything about the truck and when I went to pick it up, the hood was up and he handed me the key and was walking away. I had to ask him to put the hood down and ask to do a walk around to see any damages the truck already had.
