Amanda S | Overall ExperienceThe 5x8 trailer I had reserved was hooked up to another customer’s vehicle in error after I had completed the paperwork. I think the other customer was renting a 4x8. Also, I had to make a return trip because in the confusion about the trailer, I did not get the wardrobe boxes I had purchased. Then I had to make a 3rd trip back because the hangar bars I was provided with the boxes were the incorrect size.
WILLIAM WYour reservation system is a complete and total disaster. The only thing that saved my day was the staff at Sunset point. You changed my location 4 times and then right after I had an online chat confirming the location, I got there and corporate cancelled my reservation! What the heck is wrong with you people?!?? This has happened on other occasions as well but this time was off the charts bad. I ended up having to pay for a bigger truck which the awesome team at Sunset Point was able to provide to me. Without them I would have been screwed with no truck! Fix your system. Too bad you have no competition or I’d be there immediately. Horrible experience saved by the outstanding team at Sunset point

It was a huge relief when I showed up there on 10/14 and the had one 10X10 left and provided it to me free of charge with a lock for 30days. I only needed to use it for 12 thankfully 🙏

SCOTT CThe truck I got was clean, but terrible to drive. Did not shift gears properly, and the brakes were sketchy at best. Luckily I only needed to go 10 miles round-trip otherwise it would’ve been a disaster.
THERESA WI have used uhaul a few times now in the last couple of years and every experience has been great!! Went in late this afternoon last minute needing a vehicle big enough to get our new tv and the Clearwater location on US 19 and sunset was not only accommodating but both the gentleman and lady who were working were top notch today(10-25-24) Way to always keep me coming back!!! 5 stars all around!!!

KURT FI have some unknown liquid damage to boxes. Some liquid was present at some point in the center of the storage locker and several boxes in that region on the floor absorbed that liquid. No idea what it was, but thankfully nothing got damaged apart from musky smelling clothes in some of those boxes. TV box seeped some of that liquid but no damage to the item inside the box. Otherwise clean, well maintained, climate controlled storage for a reasonable price. A couple small negatives were, (1) we ended lease on the 21st and received no pro-rated refund for the remainder of the month; and (2) we couldn't access the storage before and after hurricane Milton although we desperately needed to. We understand that security is more important than convenience so we appreciate the service after all is said and done.

CINDY SAfter we left the location we soon realized we could hardly see out the windshield it was so dirty. The outside as well was not washed. The saving grace was the people. I have not met a better group. Very helpful and caring.

CHARLES AI'm in Clearwater,FL. We were just hit by Hurricane Milton. There's no gas here. NOWHERE. Charging me $18.00 for gas is outrageous and unethical when you know there is no gas.I will spread the word about you are taking advantage of the citizens of Clearwater at this time.

SERGEI BThis location was dealing with the impending hurricane Milton and did a great job. Inside of trailer was not cleaned from prior rental. bolts, screws, 2X4, etc. were left on the floor. Had to stop on my trip to another Uhaul location to have a tire replaced that had a screw in it.

BARRY WNot at all this was the worst experience ever I wanted to rent tow dolly and asked for a quote on dolly and the car trailer so I said I wanted to get the dolly they said ok but did the trailer instead and a asked why and they said they misunderstood and that would take too long and would be a pain to change to tow dolly due to what I’m pulling with and what was I towing just not happy and will not be using U-Haul again and I can’t wait to see if there’s even a response to this.
CHAD PI did have a tire on the trailer blow out and I had noticed the tire seemed pretty worn but didn't comment while picking up. But the in app service to get help was awesome and back on our way with a new tire in about an hour! Tire was probably fine for moving around town but going across country, should have been noted in my opinion and possibly changed out.
ADAM GThe truck was parked in front of other trucks, and I had to take delivery of my rental truck in about an hour. I did ask the associate if it was ok leaving it where it was noticing a possible issue, and he advised it would be fine. I received a call from a manager 30 minutes later advising I had to remove the truck because there was another customer waiting to take theirs. I told her about my interaction within the associate and that I would be there in 30-45 minutes. Following this I received 3 more calls within the following 35 minutes as I was on a work call, asking for an update. The last one left a voicemail threatening me with towing the very truck they rented me from their lot. (I am still trying to wrap my mind around this). When I got to the office letting them know I was driving off, the other customer was waiting at the lobby. As I was transferring personal belongings to the truck from my car, the customer approached me asking my side of the story. When I told him how things progressed, he advised “they made it seem like it was all your fault and talking smack about you”. This was unprofessional on a new level by the office. When I received the final bill, I saw that I was charged $79 for the 2nd day, which the daily rental is $39 and I returned the truck in 25 hours. I’ll gladly pay the 2nd day, but pricing this rate is just unfair. Also, they charged me $50 penalty for “Messing up someone else’s reservation” and a duel service charge which was not discussed. They only mentioned the price of gas to be charged to fill up which I was fine with. Ultimately, I am disputing these additional charges ($30 for fuel service, $40 for the daily additional rental difference, and $50 for “messing up someone else’s rental”). This was a very poor representation of Uhaul by the location.
TULIH ABoth stripes came off tires roadside assistance was great but I'm 70 yes old Sat on the side of the road in Georgia at 9pm after spending almost 2500$

KENNETH SWhen I received the rental truck, it came with 3/4 of gasoline ... I was asked to returned at the same level. The morning crew at this location was awesome, helpful and friendly, and this is the only reason this rate is not POOR. The negative part was when I came back in the afternoon to return the truck, I made sure got the same gasoline level (still don't understand why the truck was not full when I received it in the first place?!?!?) .. the afternoon guy was not interested in saying hello or anything, he went to see the truck and told me that the gas level was below the expected so he charged me $11+ for gas difference which I believe was wrong. Besides him, the afternoon crew was not friendly, did not want to help and instead they charged me extra money for something not accurate. Not going back to this location.

RACINE JThe inside of the storage area was dirty. The truck drove terribly. Cab shook no matter what speed. It also seriously needs a front end alignment.
CHRIS SThe app did not let me complete the return of the vehicle this evening. I would appreciate confirmation that I will not receive an extra charge. Tire was also flat when I received the vehicle and doors were locked to the office as it was near closing time, so I had to go to another location to air up the tire.

JOHN MI only got the truck with a quarter of gas (which is an inconvenince, then I ended up filling it up for $140 and returned with 3/4 of tank but they didn't want to refund me for the extra gas I left in the truck, I am dissapointed

The air conditioning ducts were blowing hot air. Some of my furniture was damaged by water. How is that possible, being on the second floor? I will stick to renting vehicles from here on out.
William N | Overall ExperienceThe main entry into the storage building was broken and then I had a hard time getting in with my card .A staff Member eventually helped me. the other part was that my bill was $129 and then my next bill was 138+ change and I asked, why it went up and I was told that it was an increase in fees. I always thought that I would be notified if there was an increase in fees and the signs still reflected $129 that I originally paid for. when I asked another staff member on another visit, they guessed that it was for insurance purposes and I explained that I had my own insurance and didn’t understand it had a charge. Other than that people were helpful and facility was clean
