When we arrived to pick up our truck it would not start. The reservation was for 8:00am, one hour prior to opening and were doing mobile check-in. Since it wouldn't start we called customer service and were informed roadside would take at least a hour. So we waited for someone to show up and got a different truck. We left the lot more than 1 hour late. However, we were not reimbursed $50 even though our reservation time was not met due to no fault of our own. What's the point of a reservation guarantee if the truck can be faulty and we don't actually get it at our reserved time. The guy who got us a new truck was awesome, but everything else about this experience was poor.

We were extremely disappointed with the truck we rented from U-Haul. The truck was an absolute mess- inside and out. The truck had obviously been in several accidents and should have been pulled from the lot. The bumper was broken in several spots, with the inside metal frame bent. The passenger side had been smashed in, leaving the passenger door extremely difficult to open, and you couldn't open it fully. The door itself was scratched and dented, and the key slot didn't work. The bottom frame/skirting on both sides had been folded in and bent. The wheel frames were bent inward. The other side of the truck had been hit and was dented inward, cracking the paint and frame. There were a number of paint "dings" that had been fixed with what appeared to be primer or another matte paint. The inside of the truck was filthy. It smelled of cigarettes and someone had tapped out ash into both of the door handles. The passenger side dashboard had cuts and burns on it. There were burns on the ceiling. The seats had been ripped. The step/floorboards were cracked. The top of the truck had a number of scratches on it. And the inside of the truck was covered in mud. It was absolutely disgusting. The truck also had mechanical issues. Turning left was incredibly difficult, it needed an alignment, there was a rattle in the undercarriage, and the muffler sounded like it had a hole in it. If we hadn't been moving THAT day we would have refused the truck. As it was I insisted the store representative come out to visually inspect the truck.

Well I'm happy with service but not happy with being charged twice for the same truck in my credit card. Pick up uhaul is not user friendly it should be easier to do. It's not easy at all . So we had to go inside and book it.

I arrived to pick up my truck using the mobil pick up feature. This service is terrible. Not only did I have find an alternate contact on the spot during the process. But also had to go into the store to get the keys. This terribly inefficient. As for the shit box truck, you need to take these things off the road when they are this bad. I got one mile down the road and the brake light came on. I had to turn around and bring it back to the store. They turned the truck off and back on to clear the light, only to have it come back on while i was back on the road. The folks at this location, brought me a new truck with extra gas. That was the good service I received and why I would recommend this location.

The only suggestion I might make is having a little more staffing available. I ended up waiting roughly 15 minutes before being able to begin the process of getting my truck. The service that I received was very good, and the right kind of truck was available, but I was delayed in getting to my destination because of this snag.

Pickup: was fine except the app didn't work so I was unable to document prior damage to the back bumper. The clerk told me "Oh we already know about that" but I still would have liked to document to protect myself. Van: was fine, almost new (6000 mi) but the engine light was on. Dropoff: This is the reason I do not recommend this location. I was sitting in the lot 30 minutes before my scheduled dropoff time, reading the return instructions on my phone. All it said was to take a photo of where you parked the truck. It did not say (nor was I told at pickup) that you have to park behind the building. As I'm reading the instructions, an employee opened the passenger door (no mask on) and starts yelling at me "You can't park here!" I'm like, "Okay I'm reading the instructions right now." So in the dark and pouring rain I reluctantly move the van to the back of the building. There is no one around so I drop the key in the drop box. As I'm walking back to my car the same employee yells at me AGAIN. "I thought you were returning a van? Where is the key?" I said it's in the drop box. He kept mumbling and complaining as I walked back to my car. The instructions on the app do not match what the employees want you to do, and you get yelled at for it, which is super fun after a long day of moving in the pouring rain.

I moved from NH to NC. Each step of the process required speaking with a different office. It would have been nice to be able to call one person and get all of the information I needed. There were 2 phone calls that resulted in being told that the systems were down and there was nothing they could do for me. Ok, but the person in the other end sounded like a bratty 14 year old girl.....The drop offs and pick ups were easy and the drivers were very friendly.

My only complaint is that the lift gate isn't as wide as the trailer. GM was very nice to me. Got me in and out in under 20 minutes on pickup and return. Had a smile the whole time. Stinks idiots think a 3500 lb trailer needs a forklift

The breaks were awful. Made an awful noise every time I used them. The power steering needs to be checked. Didn't feel safe driving on highway so needed to take longer route due to the poor condition of the truck.

You did not have the truck I ordered in stock and they U-boxes were not ready for us at the time promised, even though I called to confirm the day before. Very understaffed as well.
