When returning a truck I opted for an email receipt but the only thing I got thus far was this rate your experience. I got the other one for my expected miles but I feel like i could’ve got checked in immediately and got a receipt immediately. When I previously rented from the location they called me 4 hours after I returned a trailer saying I never returned it when obviously it was already dropped off. That’s because when you don’t get paper receipt employees risk forgetting to check in your rental. Hoping this didn’t happen with the 20’ truck that I dropped off yesterday at 4:40pm

DONALD Bi scheduled an appointment online to access my ubox container on 11/5. When i showed up they let me know it wasn’t there and id have to wait until 11/6. Please pay me the $50 fee for not having the box ready.
Jess SI called in advance to ask for an extension on my return date, and I was informed that the first day would be free and any additional days would be $40. I only used the truck an extra day and was still charged the $40 when informed the manager when I went to return he said no notes were written down stating that I would have an extra day.

PAT S | Overall ExperienceOnce again Paul and stuff rocked it the truck was used for a haunted truck thing for trick or trunk for the mapleton school district Aventura elementary the kids loved it they had fun decorating it it was everything that they wanted and they won scariest trunk of the night and we headed out 22 bags of candy. And I got to say thank you to everybody on staff there and we look forward to getting boxes and stuff for our camp food drive for the Thanksgiving holiday

ANTHONY EThere was an extra charge that appeared on my credit card after I returned the truck in good condition and with the same amount of gas as was in it when I picked it up. There was no communication to tell me what this charge was for.
BARRY HSorry. Because of the leaks that damaged so much of my business supplies. I will not ever recommend anyone.. I was told it would be repaired. They knew the water entrance . And was told it would be repaired outside the unit.. Knowing I'd find more products ruined I wanted to get everything out and access the total damage so I have one claim..

The movers were great but left the boxes unattended and I think a few unhoused individuals stole multiple boxes. I found one of my items broken near the trash cans a week later and took a picture

PHILLIP M10-20-25 UHaul CO Experience Review UHaul CO Phone Team - Christine, Jackie I believe. Excellent help on the phone Haul CO Delivery - Alexandria & Jackie Trainee I believe. Again Excellent! Delivered in the spot desired. Downloaded with my wife. Next time I need to work on gaging how much stuff we can fit into the box. We had ample leftover room. We have more things to move in the future. Things to work on- Lock confusion - we did not provide a lock & we did not know we needed to. This ended up not mattering. Thank Goodness! I will ask next time. Delivery Window- We were told we were the 1st delivery - estimating 8am. It ended up arriving close to 1115am. We would have made different plans for the day. I wish someone had called when we were no longer the 1st delivery. I understand this is not easy. We folded all of the blankets and put them in the empty box. Box pickup 10-20-25 On Time - smooth. My wife said the pick up person was very nice Contract Complete - Our balance should be zero. We will call you again in the future. Solid Very Good Experience both sides - Thank You

BRIAN TThe people we spoke with at the York Street Denver location were pleasant to work with, but unfortunately unable to assist with any of the issues we had with our delivery. They were also unable to locate two of our empty boxes after we returned them which resulted in a delay in closing our our order and significant additional time on our end with repeated calls to request that the order be closed out. Our second order of 3 boxes arrived 2 days late, which we were only notified of on the Friday afternoon before the guaranteed delivery date of Sunday, causing a delay in our unpacking of the boxes of almost a week because of the need to scramble to reschedule move-in with our building, our schedules, and rescheduling the team we had booked to assist us with unpacking the boxes. The notification of delay only occurred after I called UHaul multiple times, over 2 days, to request updates on the status of our boxes, as the air tags we had placed in the boxes did not move after 9/30, the day they left the UHaul facility in NH to travel to CO. No one was able to give us any updates regarding the security of our boxes and the timing of our order from 10/2 until it was delivered on 10/6 and 3 emails to the status@uhaul.com email address during business hours went unanswered. I still have not received a response. When our second order of 3 Uboxes arrived, it looked like they had been shaken and flipped around. Most of the boxes were crushed and there was damage to several furniture items, despite careful packing and securing of our items with ratchet straps. We have had 4 orders of UBoxes - 2 in 2017 when we moved from Florida to New Hampshire, which was a very easy process, our items arrived on time and undamaged. We again had 2 orders on this move from New Hampshire to Colorado and after this experience, we will be utilizing a different method of transporting our belongings the next time we move based on our experience with this last order of 3 boxes that arrived late and damaged, with significant communication issues from UHaul.
Carla MEverything was amazing with the exception of two things: 1. We selected "weight tickets needed" in our order. The weight ticket shown from the facility in Colorado was blank. We contacted customer service and they emailed the Florida facility to ensure it was completed. The correction and follow through was greatly appreciated but the fact that it was done incorrectly to begin with needs to be addressed. Moves requiring weight tickets don't get covered if there's no weight. 2. One of the women at the Florida facility was absolutely awful to deal with. A man named Mike called to let me know the boxes were in Florida. They were ahead of schedule so he moved up the drop off date. He was wonderful! I was called on the 2nd by a woman who sounded like I was cutting into her TikTok scrolling time even though she's the one who called me. She set the drop off time and when she asked (begrudgingly) if she could do anything for me, I said "yeah! Can we please schedule the boxes to be picked up [3 days later]?". She initially said No, but I questioned her so she put me on a very long hold and got the date changed (allegedly). The next day, delivery day, I called 45 minutes after the drop-off window closed to inquire about the status of our boxes. She again sounded annoyed that I was on the phone and put me on another ridiculously long hold. Her response was "the truck broke down...but your boxes will still be delivered."...okay...when?! Today?! It was like pulling teeth to get answers out of her. Where was the phone call when they realized they'd be late? REALLY late?? The driver did call me when they were on the way (after I knew they had to switch trucks and such), which was really nice. Fast forward to empty box pick-up day and no one had contacted me with a timeframe so I called. A different woman answered and said my pickup was never changed by the other woman. She was able to set it up for the very next day, but the first woman I spoke to on the 2nd and 3rd of October clearly hates her job and has no desire to be there. She turned what would have been an exceptional 5+ star overall experience in four only because everything else was above average or exceptional.

Alex VEnsure the parts ordered are absolutely the correct parts. I ordered for a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek, and the technician had to struggle with the hardware that was sent. In all, I believe it should be more than adequate installation for the hitch.

FRANK IWhile waiting to be helped, one of the employees was on the phone with another customer. He had the customer on speaker while the customer read his credit card information to him and there were other customers in the store and everybody could here. I told the employee that ended up helping me, that this was not ok and concerning!! - A customer should never be put on speaker while other people are able to listen in on the conversation, especially when it comes to sensitive information!

Paul BI would not hesitate to refer U-Haul to my friends and family. I was very happy with the whole experience. They kept me informed every step of the way, with emails and text. They did what they said they were going to do. Courteous and on time. Less expensive then POD. In fact I called POD first. I thought that they were overpriced. Called U-haul and hired you right then and there. POD called back a few days later and said they could give me a better price. Sorry but no. I’m not buying a car for goodness sake. They lose.

John J | Overall ExperienceThis was overall a subpar experience. The expectation is for the customer to read the very fine print of the rental contract for things that would have been very simple for the multiple people you speak with at Uhaul when planning the pick up and drop off to just explain over the phone. For example, I reserved two Uboxes, but had no idea I needed to count out the furniture pads for each to make sure they were seperated evenly and all accounted for (I would have counted them when I first received the boxes to make sure I even had the full amount to begin with). I also didn't realize, and was not told at any point, that I was expected to re-fold all 40 or 50 furniture pads upon return. I was charged a fee for not doing that and for "missing pads", even though everything I received was put back in the boxes. Also, when I called to have my box picked up and they scheduled the date , no one told me that even if the box is being picked up the same date that my rent for the following month is charged, I will not be pro-rated. So I paid over $100 rent for the month of August on the same day the box was picked up. It would've been great if the person who planned my pickup noticed that, or mentioned it. I trusted that Uhaul wasn't trying to pull one over on me, so that is my fault for not doing more due dilligence. Finally, when picking up the Ubox, the truck broke a limb off of my new neighbor's oak tree. We haven't even moved into the house and I already have a note from an angry neighbor, whom I've never met, telling me about it. So now I have to deal with the fall out from that for the forseeable future.

Alexander BThe owner of this U-Haul facility was amazing. When I scheduled my U-Boxes with a U-Box rep (national level, not at this local store), I was recommended 3 containers when we wound up needing 4. The owner saved us and made getting a 4th box, as well as getting them shipped all together much easier than I thought it was going to be when we figured this out. He and his staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, and they even got our boxes out earlier than expected following the delay due to needing an additional container, which allowed us to receive our items earlier at our new home. I don’t live in Denver anymore, but if I did, I would work with U-Haul Moving & Storage at York again and highly recommend them.

I went to the office and told them. She assured me they would fix it. Never happened. My books which were stored on top with some dishes were damaged with mold boxes all wet. I had to replace them and move to a different area in storage unit. They didn’t seem to care about my situation. Not even to come and look at the unit or offer me new boxes. They asked if I had pictures instead of coming and looking at the situation.

When I spoke to the technician on the phone, he pled ignorance and said there’s nothing he can do. Changing the drop off location made moving very much more difficult and I do not appreciate uhaul doing this.
Herb P | Overall ExperienceWhen I called to make reservations I asked the rep several times if I rented the truck at this location would it qualify for the free month of storage and he assured me that it did when I showed up to pick up the truck guess what I was advised that I would have to pay full price for the storage and there wasn't even a storage reserved for me classic bait and switch we were in a pinch so I had no choice but to pay the money I believe Parker was the reps name on the phone so this is why I wouldn't recommend I have used U-Haul truck rental and storage several times in the past but will be using different truck rental and storage on my next move beware of the bait and switch

Anthony E | Overall ExperienceMy first time having a storage and it couldn't have been worse. The gate key didn't work for me and had to be re-entered multiple times in the computer only to be told later that there was an IT issue. Then the staff screwed up with my unit and assigned me one that had a customer already occupied. I was then re-assigned to another unit by this incompetent staff member that had some paint supplies in there already which I thought nothing of it so I moved all my stuff inside. I was then told the next day that because it was not empty, I would have to be re-assigned another unit for the third time and the best part was that I would not be getting any help to move these heavy items. The manager and I had a screaming match about this only to be told that it had already happened and nothing else can be done. So I had to move all my heavy stuff by myself to a unit that was finally checked to be empty. I was then charged for the time that was in the second unit as well instead of when the third unit started. The staff was terrible and the manager didn't do his job. I was glad to have moved out from this place. If I could give lower than 1 star, I would.

SABRINA G | First ImpressionsWe had an old van in storage through U-Haul for over 15 years. We had to move it from one location to another in the middle of that time. We are out of state so it was a huge inconvenience for us. We really didn't get any help from anyone at U-Haul. We were sending monthly payments through the mail for most of that time and fairly often, it got lost somewhere along the way and were charged late fees that mostly got waived when we would call to tell the managers that we'd sent payment, but still had to resend the fee which was a hardship for us. Finally, we decided to pay electronically so to put an end to that nonsense. Now at the end, we were notified about a month before that it needed to be removed again permanently and again received no help from anyone at U-Haul. We were unable to go to Colorado from California this time and so lost the van completely, after paying all these years to store it. We're very angry about this, but there's now nothing we can do. We really would have appreciated more assistance in finding a towing company and another storage facility and getting it done without us having to physically be there, but I guess that just wasn't possible from U-Haul. I don't think we will ever use U-Haul ever again for anything.

I filed a claim with the person at the reception, but he didn’t explain on what to do next. I also checked all the storage facilities around me and no other locks were cut open. I guarantee that the person working here on May 28th has something to do with this break in. He put as all the way in the back for a reason where there are no cameras.

The gate was moved so close to the unit and the pin pad was put to close to my unit so I was unable to park infront of mine due to people needing to punch the gate code and also allowed people to look in my unit Witch made me uncomfortable that someone could rob me and the gate was not always working and that allowed anybody to come and go.

David B | Online Move InThe storage had stains on the wall and there was no lights inside when I needed to access my unit at night. They also confused my storage unit with someone else’s. They had canceled the other persons storage and did mine by accident, and in doing so they had to change my pay day since they had to reapply me for my unit. They kept raising the prices on me about every few months. Over all the storage was alright but there was a lot that could have been worked on.

They said sorry about that. But 4 times in 3 months is not right. Now they are putting up a better fence and cameras. That won't pay for the stolen items. It wasn’t anything of high value but kind of ruins the valve of storage when you pull your thing out of storage and they are damaged. Also the light in the storage unit did not work. Not a major deal A also but for $150 a month you would expect a dry well let place. Great place to store your stuff but just make sure you don’t need to go at night and that your stuff is not irreplaceable or too expensive.

When we got towed there, everyone was very understanding of our situation and helped us come up with a plan that worked for us. We were able to move all of our items from the rental truck into one of their storage units with no problems. It was a very good experience after a lot of hassle with the truck breaking down.

When we retuned with our 1st load several hours after completing paperwork we were buzzed in by a worker. But ultimately locked in the gates as our code had not yet been input into the system. It took yelling, honking and waving before a retail person came to see what the matter was. Glad it wasn’t ‘after hours’
