Uhaul employee hit my car during when he was backing up a Uhaul truck. I was fixing my hitch to my car that time and almost got killed by him. I jumped over to the side and saved my life. However, during the jump, I used my hand and pushed my body which it hurt my wrist after that.

U-Haul lied to me twice, so I won't be likely to deal with you in the future. I made an appointment for a hitch installation a week ago in Sunnyvale and the installer never showed up. I made an appointment in San Jose and the place is closed for construction. Yet you took my appointment. I even called ahead to ask how long it would take and a lady said three hours. That's an outright lie. So, three lies. Yet Michael in San Jose and Jeremy Wright in Fremont couldn't have been better. High marks to them. They deserve a raise. Meanwhile, you should be ashamed of yourself as a company.

I moved from California to North Carolina. The Uhaul service was very good and reliable. All the personnel with whom I had contact were extremely helpful starting with the original booking person and ending with the truck driver making the final delivery. All my belongings arrived in perfect conditions. I am highly pleased with the service.

i have observed orange decals were left sticked on all sides of truck when it was provided to me, my neighbour was worried thinking that i am carrying ammo in the truck as those decals were used when carrying ammo. This kind of ignorance while providing the truck to customer is not good, the decals must have been removed before giving the truck to me.

Grateful to this crew, after my arrival of 500+ miles with a trailer on the 4th of July. They helped me unload my car and allowed me to store the truck overnight at the Uhaul location so I could drive my car to the hotel. Want to especially thank Vincent for his patience, listening and customer service skills.

The worst possible scenario for anyone choosing a place for business is being accused of doing something that wasn’t even your doing. Not only did several of the staff members gang up on me about a dent that was not my doing but they even pulled up old video footage to try and prove a point on a pixelated video. Now mind you the “dent” in question was told to me by your employee that it looked “fresh” even though there is obvious rust on it proving that it’s been there longer than we had the truck. Oh but it gets better. To top it off after trying to prove his case over a pixelated video I asked him to pull up the details on the video. The date of the video is on the 28th of June. I did not receive said uhaul until the 3rd of July. Now all of this could have been avoided had this “note” in the system was actually inputed when it was supposed to. It was an extreme inconvenience to me and I felt disrespected by your staff and the way they handled this situation. I hope that this type a situation never happens to anyone else given the situation had everything thing to do with the carelessness of your staff. I will be escalating this properly. This could have a been a great business exchange with all stars and great reviews but the inconsistency of how your business is run clearly reared it’s ugly head. Do better uhaul.

We reserved the truck on line three days prior, we received a confirmation by mail. When we went to pick it up we were told there was some confusion with the on line reservation and we were asked to return the truck by 4 p.m. Though we should our confirmation, she, the owner said we had to return it by 4 p.m. We did call later and spoke with a Kevin, and he assured us that we could keep it until 6 p.m. May it would be best for customers to call prior to picking up your rental to assure that there is no problems.

We were accused of a dent that we didn't cause. The picture in the UHaul database didn't show the dent, but the picture was from 3 months ago. We had to push the UHaul associate to check previous customer images to prove our innocence. Please keep your images updated before accusing your customers.

You guys saved us in such a huge way! I don’t even care putting Budget on blast right now: we recently moved to Houston Texas and we were supposed to have a truck on Tuesday morning of this week, we showed up and they told us they didn’t have anything and the closest one was in San Rafael and WE would have to pick it up adding 2 hours to our already schedule packed day. No discount and no one really working to help us out. Just a “Well sorry”. I immediately hopped on the phone with uhaul and Ryan took my call heard my desperation and was super sympathetic and did his very best to offer me what they had. I was able to save the truck run over to them and get my house packed up, albeit with a smaller truck than anticipated which made it a little more interesting, but we got the house packed in it! Thank you so much for the help!

Only issue is that, reserving in advance, we calc'd that 157 included miles would be more than enough. Then, later, the pickup location was different (resulting in some more miles and additional fuel and a nominal mileage charge). It would be a better experience if the reservation agent had the ability (she did not at the time) to be CERTAIN where the truck would be for pickup and, then, the truck would ACTUALLY be there.

I took the time to reserve online then had to spend a significant amount of time with an employee doing the info all again. Additionally, the employee completed the transaction as slowly as possible.

The only negative that I experienced was the requirement of having 2 phone numbers. I only have one number and while I providing insurance, a credit card for deposit, and photo ID, the manager and others continued to press for a 2nd number stating I could not rent without it. I ended up having to provide a virtual number that only rings on my phone anyway, which seemed a bit counter productive. There is such a thing as asking for too much information.

Great friendly guys that served me quickly. My moving truck was quickly assessed and the final invoice summary emailed across instantly. I was let down by Budget Trucks (they couldn't supply me a truck on move day even though I booked it 1 month in advance), U-Haul stepped in to save the house move without too much trouble. It was great to hire off a company that knows how to operate professionally. Many thanks U-Haul!

The person (I believe his name is Fernando), very nice person made a suggestion for a different hitch, which was the correct decision. To my knowledge he did not know how to read the date the tire (DOT) was made, which is not a problem but all person should be trained on the DOT date code.

Where do I begin, I reserved on line and then had to change the date over the phone , without being notified my reservation pick up location was changed without any e mail was communicated with me until the day before I showed up to pick up the trailer only to be told that the location was changed once again and no noticed given to me. I was then told if I return the trailer to my original location I would be charged additional fee which was more then the rental in the first place ...

Mobile pick up was a joke. It took me 45 mins and on top of that I had to go wait in line to speak to a rep to change the drop off. It should be quick in and out. Asking 50 questions, verifications pictures, chatting with the agent ... can be done ahead of time. Not to mention the app does not even detect when I am inside the store. I had to walk outside to make it work

Wait time is a bit too much. There was a lone representative on the register when there were 3 people to be served. Other than people waiting in the queue, there were people coming in to return equipment as well. After some time 2 people who were working on the vehicles in the shop came to help, so things moved along quickly thereafter. Overall, it took us 20-30 minutes to get our vehicle from the time we walked in.

The employee did not know how to remove an extra connection I bought to connect the car dolly lights. I had to drag myself on the floor to remove it, I did not know because this has being taken care before but not this time. I would not recommend for dropping after hours unless you are familiar with your equipment, not my case. In general this is a very good location.

Having to drive from Fremont to Santa Clara to collect my car carrier was not at all helpful and it added 2 hours to my move before I started to drive. This is not helpful. I was warned but again getting the telephone that "movement between locations is not a service we provide at U-Haul" will make me think otherwise on my next rental.

I WAS PLANNING TO KEEP THE VEHICLE FOR TWO DAYS. ON THE SECOND DAY, I HAD A DEATH IN THE FAMILY SO I HAD TO RETURN THE TRUCK. INCLUDING THE EXTRA 1/4 TANK OF GAS I HAD PUT IN. I QUESTIONED YOUR POLICY ON FUEL WHEN I WAS RENTING THE TRUCK. IT SEEMS TO BE A SCHEME TO EXTRACT MONEY FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS. DEPENDING ON YOUR RESPONSE, I WILL COMPLAIN TO THE BBB, AND BEGIN TO ORGANIZE TO SEE IF OTHERS HAVE BEEN IMPACTED BY THIS.

Great storage, can be reserved ahead of the time which is recommended. Otherwise, the storage room may be on the second floor and far away from the entrance door. The staff was helpful.
