Customer contact center communication upgrade to the actual place of business. The contact center forgot the Dolly and placed my order when there was no available one-way truck Plus, the contact center wanted me to drop off the truck 30 miles away - when there was a place two block from my destination. Hope this helps. Communication is key

The information on-line needs to be the same that we get at the pick-up location. The need to have a credit card ONLY then can one check out a vehicle could have more choices. Not being able to pay prior to pick-up is inconvenient. I will recommend with warnings.

Very very disappointed by the fact that I made this reservation for the Pleasanton location and then days later got told that they didn't have any trucks. Got redirected to Fremont which was extremely inconvenient. What's the point of reserving a truck days in advance. And no one volunteered to get the truck over to Pleasanton. Instead I had to go there! Not good. I will say that the facility and guys in Fremont were quick, thorough and clean.

The employee kept the receipt I was given in Arizona and asked if I wanted a paper or email receipt. I said email would be fine. He DID NOT explain that the receipt would say $0.00. I am still waiting for a receipt with the total cost. I need it for tax and accounting purposes!!!

I made a reservation over 2 weeks before I needed the vehicle. The location had been changed then the vehicle was late. I also needed a trailer, it's location was not at the same place and then changed 2 times before I got it. Last the return location was a nightmare, no outlet, one way in same way out. Over crowded and understaffed. Almost an hour to drop the trailer and over 45 minutes to drop the truck. I don't see myself dealing with U haul for the next move.

If a change is "manually" made to the contract regarding mileage, the rep should also go back to the computer and make that change. Otherwise what happens is that if the customer (me) is over the pre-determined mileage, there will be more cost to the customer. Mine was changed manually by the rep to reflect a .2 change in the mileage before I drove the truck anywhere, but I was still charged for the extra .2 miles. I am not expecting this to be credited to me because it is a small amount, but this should have been a change entered into my contract in your computer system because the rental was a one-way and the charges were computed by what was only originally entered into your computer system from the starting location. The drop-off location did not look at the receipt/contract to see that the mileage was manually changed by the rep from the starting location, and then charge me accordingly.

if there is a customer stating they came from another U-Haul location with a reservation, please check the database on their reservation status & update it. I arrived at the reserved Jackson Hayward, Ca. location on-time and was referred by a gentleman worker to the Thornton Fremont, Ca. location due to more knowledge on the towing capacity of our own vehicle. After we were on our way to the new location, the old location calls & leaves a message questioning why we still have not checked in to pick up our rental. I called them right back and explained to a confused lady worker my concern. She then stated it was updated. Then hours after we rented from the new location, got another call from a different lady worker at the same old location how we never arrived or picked up our rental and they will just cancel our reservation. I returned the rental on-time at the end of the day. And did understand why there was an "hour system" on how long we needed in 1-day to get our Motorcycle. We dedicated 10hours but ended up with only 6hours due to the crazy run around at both stores. I live in Hayward & had to go to Santa Rosa to pick up my bike. It took 5hours with traffic to drive to get my bike. I hope I will not be charged for this crazy misunderstanding and not be charged the crazy/pricy/unnecessary $50 "reservation deposit" of which I can not afford nor expected at time of reservation! This crazy amount of $50 should only be charged to the people that misuse your system rather than the people that obey our system. If i get any insufficient funds in my bank account for this charge. I will be calling. Thank you for your rental. It was very helpful with instructions for our use on the trailer. it arrived safely with ease. Wish i had these instructions when I was instructed years ago by the Thornton team to use a regular trailer to tow my motorcycle the first time and it ended up tipping on its journey. Sux its a good bike now with Salvage status! Good day!
