I had a reservation for 7am and walked in at 706 and the lights were out and the opener was rude and told me to go back to my car. While he opened and I shouldn't have come in. The doors were unlocked and it was after posted open hours. I just don't get how businesses will survive with this kind of service.
STEVEN HTruck had bunch of trash in it. Gas was way below what they marked it at. Had to eat about $15 worth of gas.

JOHNATHAN SBoth days I came in the gentleman was not friendly at all. When I picked up I asked him how his day was and he said he wasnt feeling well. So I understood. When I dropped off. The lady guided me to the man outside who was doing returns. The same man from the previous day. I greeted him and told him I was sent out there by his co-worker. He snapped at me and I told him I was only doing as told. The way he responded to me was so unprofessional and I DID NOT LIKE IT. Usually I do get a receipt but I did not want to deal with him. I return the trailer to where he asked and he unhitched it and I was done. It was better to leave than to get disrespected.
SHAWNTEL GDrop off was VERY smooth. Again normally I use Penske, I will try UHaul again. The personnel here at Trotwood very good people.
JC REveryone in there has a nasty attitude and they all stink smelling like an ashtray. You have to stand around and wait until they're done smoking before they'll wait on you. They do zero to help anyone. I'm elderly and a female. The guy who waited on me went and got a dolly, didn't offer to take it to the truck for me(rude). I'm just floored at the fact that uhaul has such HORRIBLE customer service on the phone and in person. I wouldn't recommend uhaul to NOBODY.
CHARLOTTE ACustomer service at pick up was very unsatisfactory. The clerk was very short with his answers to my questions and act like he was aggravated by me asking questions.
DWIGHT RI cannot think of a way to improve except maybe the app and website which were unreliable. The operatives were excellent, professional and helpful. Customer service staff also excellent. Cannot fault the service and would highly recommend it.

PATRICIA HI had a very hard time getting up in the truck but I am 63 years old and thick. I did get a lil step stool to help me but then I couldn't reach the step stool to put it back in the truck. It was quite comical but I am very sore. At one point, when I reached down to get my step stool. I couldn't pull myself back up. That was very scary. I couldn't let go because if I had fallen . I would have sure broken something. Maybe when making future trucks consider the elderly. Some of us have no one to help us.

TYRONE HThe pick-up communication was not good. For some reason, they were contacting the secondary phone number and not mine. Had a hard time finding out when they would actually be there. This was difficult as it was an out of state storage unit that I was trying to close up and needed to nail down times for travel purposes.
Michelle BPoor customer service from the young lady at the counter. The system went down at 3:30 and I had a 4 p.m reservation.. She didn't know when it would be back up, so leave my number because I can't check out my reserved tow dolly. At 6 p.m I return to find the system is working...no call. Same young lady at the desk. If your system is down and it isn't my fault and its interfering with the plan you would think she would call and inform me that the system is up..SHE DID NOT! She did not care, it was VERY poor attitude. Indifferent customer service.

I also don't appreciate getting a poorly writen paragraph text the day after transactions were finished telling me that he did nothing wrong and implying that all the issues were on me and acting as if I was out of line for asking for clarification from him as the manager as to why issues happened.

Brie H | Overall ExperienceU-Haul is a good company, but some the employees in trotwood Ohio U-Haul need to be trained on how to be friendly and professional. My daughter met the manager or supervisor once we got someone to take our lock off, she seemed nice. But a couple of the other workers need to be replaced, they talk to people like they running their own business and not in a good way. I won’t be doing business with trotwood Ohio U-Haul again.

bryan pThe vehicle was sub-par but did got my job done. There was only one associate both times I went over the course of 2 days, who was overworked with the amount of traffic that comes through this location. The online process isn't so great because before you know it you have booked at another location despite putting in the location you'd like to use. Additionally, the app user journey just to even check-in with your reservation is misleading because you still have to wait in line for the associate to help, not to mention the fact that it takes forever to get through all the prompts even when you already have a Uhaul account.
KIMBERLY BLocation would not answer phone. Called more than 20 times over 4 hours. I needed to switch my pickup time. I called uhaul and the toy dolly I needed. Was there. I needed to switch from Saturday morning to Friday evening. I was traveling 800 miles to pick this dolly up and was getting in earlier than expected. Uhaul called the location multiple times and even sent a message telling them to not rent the dolly out. And to call me. I got nothing. Showed up and the dolly was gone. I was forced to rent a hotel and wait till the next morning.

I was hoping to just be able to transfer our belongings to another Uhaul facility in Cincinnati. After some research there wasn't one located here. So, I had to rent with another named storage company. It was a great year with Uhaul. Thanks for the positive experience!

Also we were told the wrong truck to get into and that also had water in it, more in fact... which also splashed on us. Was a bit irritating. Also the app and online website wouldnt work when I'd try to upload pictures of the water in the doors and also enter in the milage so now because of that I may get stuck paying for 50 miles when I didnt travel anywhere near that. So overall not the best experience.

Luthricia H | Overall ExperienceFirst..as I’m waiting to get a staff the Store Manger is irritated with whosever on the call..cussing..no patience..second I would still be there (glad I’m not) if y’all had worked a little bit more with me..I’ve talk to you guys every month and explain about my heart disease and has been hospitalized multiple times..I gotta work to get money..then I was on the phone with my wife and kid and this person said they had til 8 to get the stuff out..notes I was told 48 hours meaning I had until Saturday at 145 for it to be 48..not including the hours yall close vs when I got there I could go in 24hrs. The manger likes to talk to your stupid why I don’t know..the keys I had for it was the wrong ones and asked them about getting it off and they said 50 to cut it off….huh.. I just gave yall what I had to pay to get out in 48hrs…we’ve had that unit since 2021..after 8 hrs we got the lock off..98% of the reason we got AN ONSIDE CONTROL UNIT SO MY STUFF I PAID AND WORKED HARD FOR SAFE…..MOLD. SO MUCH MOLD….inside and out..clothes in totes molded..I understand as a business swing how I am a supervisor also that it needed to be paid and I told them I have and she said..the only option I had was to pay 155 and out per her in 24hrs, then Jeff so no because of the size we had that we had 48 hrs..I did my very best not to show and I didn’t but that didn’t stop you store manager and how to treat and talk to people should be his next training. Some businesses just need to be aware people have bad health and some it gets hard for a few..almost 4 years at this property to get treated and talked to like crap..things I now have to replace because your “Controlled Units” are azz!!! You couldn’t give me two weeks to get the other half when I got paid to now I gotta spend more money then what I owed you to replace all my stuff..I’ll never NEVER use U Haul again. Period!!!
