Communications was poor my unit was broke into employee told us that place has no cameras they keep getting broke and knocked down and the gate has been having issues not closing when asked why a tenant wasn’t notified I got the run around poor communication never had that problem when it was freedom self storage corporate came in and the place went down hill

ROSA L | Overall ExperienceI checked in online, got there and the access code was not working. The office was closed so I didn’t have any one to help. Had to come back the next day. The phone number to the local office was not answered by a local person. Please change that. After some time, we got help from the local office. I was told a pad lock would be in the unit. Nothing was there. The unit itself is nice and I feel secure with my stuff there. Easy to access.

JASON Q | Overall ExperienceThe check-in process was very problematic for us. The clerk was helpful, but it took more than two hours for our code to work at the gate which set us back significantly. Further, we were told our free lock would be in the unit when we gained access. It was not. We returned to the off -premises office in order to get a lock, but there was a line of 6 customers. So we went and paid for a lock at Walmart. When you rent a unit, I think it is reasonable to assume you will have nearly immediate access to it. To have to wait more than two hours is not a good customer experience.
