Speed up your computers. The whole time I was in there there at least 5 people in line waiting. It took me 40 mins to rent an auto transport that I had reserved. The young lady was great and very friendly but her computer kept losing my order and then on top of it all my card was charged 2 times before I left there that morning.

JUAN ISAIAS R.When I got home and looked at the hitch, there was no way to attach a trailer. No tongue, no ball, just a square 2 inch hole. I didn't look before I left because, honestly, I didn't think I needed to. I paid to have the whole thing installed and whomever (if anyone) that checks the jobs before returning the vehicle failed to notice that rather glaring omission.
Phil E.After booking an appointment and paying for a hitch installation I received a confirmation email with the date, time, and location. I showed up to my appointment, but the building was closed. I called customer service and they didn't know what was going on and tried reaching out to the location with no luck. I called the next day, and still no luck reaching the location. I called customer service to get a refund, and they said it was processing, the manager would have to sign off on it and it would take 5-6 business days. I called again this morning, which is the 7th business day, and the manager had still not taken care of this. This hitch installation was extremely time sensitive, as I needed it for work LAST week. Due to poor management and lack of professionalism, I am out thousands of dollars. I will never use U-Haul for anything else again.

The truck I rented had issues, the drivers door would not close properly, it actually had water in the door compartment and dash. The passengers door had been broken into and the key lock removed so it couldn't be locked. The vehicle was difficult to keep on the road the steering pulled to the right and it had play in the steering. Trying to merge into traffic it would bog down with power loss and the transmission would shift into gear with high RPMs only. On top of it all half way to my destination the check engine light came on and I was afraid it would break down causing me a high level of anxiety and stress. This truck has issues and really should be moth balled, I did not feel safe. The attendant at the New Bern NC location really stepped up to the plate and helped me out. He was professional and very accommodating and understanding. He put me in a safe vehicle for my trip home. I appreciate all he did.

Rosalind M.The original location called me 15 minutes before I was scheduled to pick up my truck and canceled my Guaranteed reservation. I was already nearby of course and turned in to the location to see a uhaul employee driving off in the truck I rented. When I approached the manager about the situation he stated, "take it up with customer service ". I had a crew waiting for me to bring supplies using this pick up truck and had to scramble to find one. Found one 20 miles away at a different location that ended up costing me 3 hours of pay to a non working crew, 3 hours of lost project time, 40+ extra miles of rental and an hour on the phone with customer service. All because the manager of the location was wanting to run pods off of the books and make side money. You should investigate and this was a very bad look. It is not the end of the world and many people deal with more every morning, but it was truly poor business practice and it cost me serious money. Sad encounter but I am sure it will fall on deaf ears so I will not waste further time with more info, call if you want details

Orvia G. | First ImpressionsMy experience, unbenongst to me started the day I rented. I was not informed that the storage unit was not at the same place the drop off unit was. The staff at the Uhaul on Grove Rd did not inform me either. There were weird vibes so before leaving the 4x8 cargo rental where the cust serv rep told me to leave it, I called the general customer service line. they worked everything out and informed me of everything. I was not to be charged for anything else other than the rental and free month storage. So, now that all my stuff is in this storage unit on Grove...the key card they give me NEVER WORKS. from the very first time. I cant get in or out. I had to visit my storage unit several times and each time the reps were slow and unwilling to assist in getting me in or out of the gate. A cust serv rep ended up giving me a code *2425#...one of the cust serv reps came up to me and insisted I inform him who gave me the number so he could find the breach in the system. Luckily the last time I went to gather all my things, the gate was open. I packed all my things and took them to Public Storage. This was such a bad experience.
