The final location was great. But uhaul customer service is horrible!! I originally made online reservation to pick the truck up in belton sc. Then they call me and tell I have to pick it up in anderson sc. I explained that that would be extra miles that I would end up having to pay for and lady told me they would adjust milage rate to compensate for it. So I go to anderson to get the truck and truck is not there. I call customer service and after 30 minutes she tells me she has bigger truck which I couldn't use because of location I was moving stuff from. So she tells me I have to go to greenville sc to pick up truck which is what we did. But she couldn't reduce the milage rate. So instead of the 30 miles I had planned for mileage on the truck we had almost 80 which was 50 dollars more on top of the extra gas I had to replace in the truck and all the driving I had to do just to get the truck. Worst experience ever with uhaul will diffently look for other options next time I need this kind of service!!!michelle B.

I rented this vehicle for 4 hours and was not able to bring it back in the time frame. It was returned the next morning within a 24-hour period I was charged another $54 even though the vehicle was cleaned fuel was filled $200 for that length of time for a 1999 for day vehicle is ridiculous. Yes it was necessary for me to use a U-Haul this time next time I will probably not use the services way too costly for the time frame allowedTELETHA R.

The lady at the store was very helpful explaining the charges but your customer service 800 number is horrible. And customers should a6least be called and asked to pay the charge before a $30 fee is added. Anyone renting a truck has no issue paying a $16 mileage fee but I don't feel the responsibility to pay a $30 fee for you companies lack of communication or ridiculous wait times.Tracy C.

I have no complaints about the pickup location, my sole complaint is with Uhaul itself. I was supposed to pick up the equipment at one location, which luckily I called before I went to pick it up and they informed me that my equipment had not shown up yet. They then called me an hour and a half later and informed me that they had been working the entire time to figure out what was going on and inform me that my pickup had been moved to another location where they actually had the equipment. I made the reservation 6 days in advance, plenty of time to get things worked out. I did not end up getting my rental until hours after my initial pickup time because of this and when I did finally get to pick up the equipment, there were other customers in the store with the same story as mine and also someone who had made a reservation but the equipment was already reserved by someone else, so their whole moving plans completely went out the window because of the carelessness on Uhaul's end. This has got to be a multi-million dollar company, I am not sure how these events are possible other than blatant disregard for the customer.JACOB H.

I noticed the system stated a fuel level 1/8 more than was actually in the truck (same for person before me because I overheard it). Seems odd to me it was two people in a row, same amount, and we both had to catch it. There was also passenger door damage I had to catch. How you can Improve...make sure your system info is accurate on fuel and damage before renting to new person. Other than making sure truck operates properly, the most important things to get right.Stephen C.

I've had to call the location multiple times for several days in a row to speak to someone. I was also charged an extra $20 for dropping the truck off late because I could not get the website to recognize my location. CSR was incredibly rude. She wouldn't look at me the whole time we interacted and didn't express any remorse for not having almost all of the equipment I ordered. If I weren't under a time crunch I would have cancelled and gone to the Penske center up the road.THOMAS F.
When I picked up vehicle, the person behind desk had no uhaul uniform on, and had her 4yo child running around the store. She was on phone and kept stopping to scold the child. She actually laid the phone down and ran to the child because he almost knocked over a display. She never apologized to person on phone trying to make a reservation. My experience, unbenongst to me started the day I rented. I was not informed that the storage unit was not at the same place the drop off unit was. The staff at the Uhaul on Grove Rd did not inform me either. There were weird vibes so before leaving the 4x8 cargo rental where the cust serv rep told me to leave it, I called the general customer service line. they worked everything out and informed me of everything. I was not to be charged for anything else other than the rental and free month storage. So, now that all my stuff is in this storage unit on Grove...the key card they give me NEVER WORKS. from the very first time. I cant get in or out. I had to visit my storage unit several times and each time the reps were slow and unwilling to assist in getting me in or out of the gate. A cust serv rep ended up giving me a code *2425#...one of the cust serv reps came up to me and insisted I inform him who gave me the number so he could find the breach in the system.
