They could pull the vehicle around for you instead of providing a map and pull down the cardboard advertising sign. The vehicle should be easily identifiable by the number they provided on the map. The gentleman said the number is on all four corners (it is not- its only on the very back at the top). There could be an indicator of how much fuel was initially in the vehicle instead of going off of memory. The vehicle should easily shift into park (it doesn't).

Got there at 7am when I was supposed to pick up the truck. The guy working was in the bathroom till 7:03. He was taking a number 2 because the single bathroom was right there and you could hear him pull up and buckle up his pants. Flushes the toilet and walks right out. Didn’t was his hands. Didn’t you hand sanitizer nothing just right out the door while the toilet was still flushing. I thought the truck was clean until I got home to start packing when I noticed a nasty Gatorade bottle a smelly sock and a crusty 1 dollar bill. Then when I went to return the vehicle the guy working was super slow you could tell he didn’t care about the other 5 customers waiting for ever I thought I had to go in and tell the guy the vehicle is back. Because when I picked it up Mr poopy hands didn’t explain anything and they forgot to give me my appliance dolly. Good thing I remembered and hand to turn around and return to the store and Mr poopy hands while helping another customer. Just said yeah there outside over there. Glad I’m not a idiot and found it quickly with all the cluster outside

The other gentleman working seemed to be having a rough day. He was short tempered with the customer he was waiting on when we arrived and curt with the family asking for a rental when we returned ours. He made me feel like he had better things to do than help customers and I wasn't even the one he was working with. The young man who helped me was great- positive, explained things clearly, made sure I knew the most important parts.

Chris JIn general, the location was good. The overall experience was not the best. I was sent to return the truck to a location that was no longer doing U-Haul rentals, which is no big deal in the sense that another store was just down the road. Upon arriving at this location, I was informed that I would be getting a charge for not dropping at the correct location and that I had exceeded the mileage. I showed the manager my reservation and she said she had to check with the district manager on the issue as it seems there was something going on with the system. Two days after the rental, I was charged another $75.00 for these things, which were not in my control. I made a phone call to the store and the male employee I spoke with asked me about the situation, but then just cut me off and said he would get it refunded. Not sure how long the refund takes so hopefully I can get that back as soon as possible.

I get to the location, and they had given away my truck and tried to give me this huge truck which was way to big for me to handle. I ended up having to stay in my apartment for additional days which caused my landlord to charge me for that week. I also forfeited my deposits for utilities due to the additional week so no I would not advise that any one black goes to that location because that have a hint of racial prejudice going on there.

Steven JWhen we arrived, we got in line behind a customer at the counter, and the staff member behind the counter called out and asked us what we were there for in an angry tone, like we were bothering him for being there. We replied that we were there to pick up our U-Box. He questioned what U-Box and said they didn't have any U-Box orders today. We replied that we had been notified that our U-Box had been delivered earlier that week. He acted irritated and said that we were supposed to give 24 hours notice (or similar) and they can't just get the U-Box for us because they're in storage. We had never been notified by U-Haul that we needed to give any notice to retrieve our U-Box, so this confused us. I wanted to state that we could just give notice then, but the employee was very agitated and hostile about it, and again, we were caught off guard because we were just quietly waiting in line when he forcefully started questioning us. At that point, he left to go check on our U-Box. We waited about 5-10 minutes, then he came back and said it was placed out where we could get to it. The other employees seemed helpful and friendly, and we did get to access our U-Box like we were hoping to, but the employee who "greeted" us and spoke to us was very rude and my wife and I found his customer service completely unacceptable.

I walked up to the counter and the woman behind the counter snapped at me when I told her I was there to pick up a trailer, “I will help you at the center desk when I get time”. Needless to say I was very rude to them after that, she needs to be held accountable for her behavior and disrespect for a customer. She got very upset when I was rude to her but she expected me to be nice and accepting of her rudeness. This was the worst U-Haul experience I have ever had.

This was not the case and took two days of phone calls to get them to finally check it in but I was charged an extra day for a trailer I used for 2 and 1/2 hours. Customer service said they were having trouble with the app this past weekend. Extremely frustrated with U-Hauls app no clear instructions as to how to turn in equipment.

When I asked a second and third time he responded but still did not answer my question. He walked off while I was talking to him. He did not stop and look at me until I cussed at him. His lack of regard for my age and the mere fact I was a customer made me come out of my character. It was a situation that lasted at least 5 mins before the assistant manager finally walked out, told me I needed to walk away and told him she would get the truck for me. She apologized for me being upset about the offer not understanding my anger was not about the offer it was the disrespect he showed in reference to my question. She continued to apologize for the offer being rescinded. Still not understanding it was his manner that upset me. I explained why I was upset several times and she still did not get it either.

The truck was dirty and I exactly like how it is when we dropped it off that’s how we picked it up. I have pictures of the mileage and the gas. It was just at a quarter of a tank when we picked it up at 3:47 was finally when we got the truck.

sahteesha mEnsure the equipment is ready for use. The truck I was rented had an inside dual that was flat and was told by the road service provider, it had been flat for a long time. The tire was not identified flat until after the truck was loaded,, in my driveway and found during a walk around prior to departure. The U-Haul dealer refunded my money but due to the delay, I had to pay double for the hired help to stay late and assist unloading. I trust vehicle inspections are implemented and excused prior releasing for customer use.

What a dive of a uhaul. This location should be shut down. They are unprofessional. The lady said oh well, I can't help you get in, come back and try again later. Um, yeah no. Your keypad wont let people into their storage units that cost 100 bucks a month, fix it. Don't tell them oh well and brush customers off. Avoid Waterloo Iowa location. I have had great luck at other locations and have moved a lot.

Definitely don't recommend storing anything great. Personnel at the location or services are not the issue. They worked with me as best they could, was just getting run around about who to talk to about fixing the leaks. Never got fixed. It's the outside storage - don't rent those units out KNOWING there is water leaks until it gets fixed.

When I went to get my belongings I could only get the door partially open due to some damage to the door since i had put my belongings in. When i got close to the end I started noticing some boxes were wet and moldy. The water was coming in from the farthest point and had gotten all my paintings wet and ruined. I was asked if I had bought the insurance which I thought was more for theft. I'm out several thousand dollars because of what I feel is something that should have been caught before I rented the unit. Will not suggest uhaul to anyone.
