We arranged to ship two U-boxes to a new residence on 5/24; however, I noticed an email on 5/25 that the boxes were scheduled to be delivered on 5/26. When I called for clarification, I was told that the driver had been in the hospital and unable to deliver (understandable) on 5/24. I then arranged for delivery on 5/26 between noon-2:00pm. On 5/26, 2:00pm came and went without delivery. When I called, the driver informed me that she was at least an hour away and that she had been given a different delivery time. The U-boxes were eventually delivered at about 4:00pm, after I had to give the driver the correct address via text. When we were completed with the boxes, I notified the driver via text that they could be removed on 5/27, which is when the driver said they would be back in that town. On 5/28 I received a text from the driver asking for the address again. Overall, we were originally pleased with the convenience and care of shipping the boxes; however, this particular occasion wasted approximately a day and a half waiting for the delivery, with added confusion and missed work. Though U-Haul properly deducted the delivery fee, for the amount of money we spent on the shipping charges, this should have gone much more smoothly.

Upon arrival, no employees were inside - they were ALL out back smoking. After going through the process of checking out the vehicle I was told to go find it based on the number "out back". The truck's cabin smelled of cigarette smoke and the truck struggled at idle and lower speeds.
Patrick KI rented a vehicle hauler to move a car from central WI to Seattle, WA. In my pre trip inspection, I asked the rental person if the trailer was ready for a trip to Seattle. Her response was "yes" absolutely. I noted the tires on the walk around and dismissed my fears. During the trip we encountered a catastrophic tire blow out and replaced both tire on the rear axle. The surge brakes were also non-existent as they provided no help when navigating the mountain ranges and long decent into Seattle. Overall, I am very disappointed in this rental.

MATTHEW PI had a poor driving experience with the vehicle we were provided. I could not adjust the seat far enough forward to comfortably reach the pedals. I had to sit "diagonally" on the seat in order to reach the pedals. The mirrors were of no use. The agent helped me to adjust the seat, but there wasn't anything else she could do. I will not be renting again unless I can safely operate the vehicle.

LEIGH PI had a very poor experience at this U-Haul location. The flatbed trailer I booked 3 days before was completely covered in snow and had not been cleared at all. This is a serious safety issue and should have been taken care of before I arrived. I should not have to clean rental flatbed myself. This caused delays and made the situation unsafe. I expect equipment to be ready and properly maintained, especially during winter. Because of this, I believe a partial refund or some form of compensation is reasonable. I hope management addresses this issue so other customers do not have the same experience.

I don't recall the womans name who appeared to be in charge, but she was on top of things and was excellent. In the past 5 months there has been a deterioration in employee capability and willingness, capbility to assist with issues at hand. One minute, "the manager will call you within the next few days" (which never occured and I had to return to the office 4 times),. I was told that she is so busy and has so much on her plate. And then the next time, being able to assist me right then and there. (same employee). Charges for unit I was not using. Charging for 'breaking the lock of", which employee was not able to do. The charges for the cutting the lock off, was reimbursed back to me, but I am unsure of the charges for another unit. I also had made a request, only to have the employee flat out lie to me,. I have a large unit, have had it for almost 2+ years. I am planning on selling most items, downsizing and minimalistic living. I need to go through the boxes, bins and price, take pictures, label, etc. I asked if I could rent a unit close to my other one and as I go through my things, keep the 'to sell' items separate, start placing my things in the new unit. Otherwise I would have to pull everything out at one time and have things laying outside and then replacing them into my now rented unit. It would just take a day to accomplish this but is weather dependent. I was able to do this another time. The employee said, "there are no units available", which I know to be untrue. I was able to see which units were available and a unit 2 doors down had the zip lock saying the unit was ready for rental. i have been a customer for years, on and off. At this time, when I go through my things, I may just transfer my things to another facility. The boy/man who was not helpful at my very frequent visits, used to be a model employee. In addition, I left once when I stood and waited for 20 minutes and no employee came out to assist me. I heard the employees talking and they were well aware that I was there. Time for new management or?? Just so disappointed.
