My reservation was made in May. It was then changed twice. It ended up being at a location that is over 20 miles away round trip. The agent added safe move that I did not want. He did not inform that I would get a text to review truck condition before leaving location. People on the phones need more training. When I added an additional day, I was transferred unnecessarily, then the reservation never even got updated resulting in calls from Uhaul. I then called back and asked for a manager. I was left on hold for over an hour before ending the call. I am a call center manager and could tell the call kept being picked up and placed back on hold. Very unprofessional. The storage unit reserved in May was a mess too. The agent was very helpful, but could not locate my reservation in the system. This cost additional time in order to get everything processed. Overall, terrible experience. Moving forward, I will seek other options with uhaul being my last option. I will be seeking a new storage facility based on principal. I do not want to give your company my money when there is zero concern addressing all the issuesJeffery B.

Tried to over charge me and the insurance didn't cover much not that I had to use it but it should be refunded. Had to provide proof of a picture because they put down the gas wrong and it was over what was expected. Then starts ordering lunch after telling me provide proof when they had a girl who didn't know what she was doing with little to no supervisionbrittany T.

Waited about 30 min for my reservation. Asked for an extra Utility dolly they dont have any, ok that's fine, but no dolly on the truck either. Had to buy one, from somewhere else. Asked for extra furniture blankets and they didnt have those. Had the package on the truck but decided against using due to my frustration. Still got charged for the extra dolly and blankets. Responded to my emailed receipt and it's only been since yesterday but I'm not happy. Added frustration and stress from that and I don't think want to ever come back to uhaul. What you can do to improve for the next customer: Meet commitments that have been reserved and confirmed by the customer. Or if you can't, at least don't punish them by having them pay for extra miles (and gas) to pick up and return at a location much farther away. And also, don't tell them that they can only have the truck for 12 hours WHILE THEY ARE PICKING UP THE TRUCK - When the truck was reserved for 2 days. I am happy to discuss my very poor experience at any time.Danny W.

The employee who met me in the parking lot and that was also in the store was sarcastic and not helpful when i had questions. I think he was a leader of the store because other employees asked him questions when the Debit Card machine was having problems when i was asked to pay. Other employees were very nice. The older manager that had this location has left. She had the operation running very smoothly and I have used them several times in the past. The afternoon I dropped off the trailer, the tech took the trailer and said he would email me a receipt. I never got the email, so I dropped by on Sunday, and the Sunday crew could not find the check in log. They took care of me quickly and was good to go. The new management of that location needs to raise the bar of quality/customer service. I would have been very upset if I had gotten charged an extra day due to the failed check in.KELLY K.

We rented and returned a truck in the same day. Two days later they called and asked when we would be returning the truck. The invoice was for two days including insurance we never asked for! This was the worst experience we have ever had with U-Haul! This company has the worst and unknowable workers. Nobody knows what the hell they are doing. They run around like chickens or stand around and talk about women and what they like to do. The AZ location yelled at us to hurry up and we left our things account the glove box and they said sucks for you! The Washington location is worse, and we originally got a tow dolly with a broken strap! And we almost lost our truck. That could have hurt is so bad but I guess dead is better than safe. The original reservation was to pick up at the Lindsey location. I was informed the day before we needed to pick up at Chandler which was 35 miles out of our way. But Robinson was great to work with when we picked it up. The cab of the truck could have been wiped down, dash was dusty and crumbs or something in the cubby holes.Lori H.

I was supposed to pick up my rental on Citrus Rd in Goodyear but due to poor availability I had to drive to Chandler to pickup a larger unit. It would have been nice to know about this availability issue ahead of time rather than the day before the rental. They even wanted mt to drive to Payson or Cottonwood in order to pickup my originally requested unit. This is unacceptable.STEVEN B.

I booked a truck for 6am and when I showed up to retrieve my key out of the locked boxes no key was there. My business relies on this company to stay afloat at the moment so any mistake as minimal as U-Haul employees forgetting a key can set me back big time. When I called for assistance they said I would have to wait till 7. For me that's not an option as I have customers I have to attend to at that time. Luckily someone showed up at 6:30 and could help us. Next time remember to put the keys in the box please and ThankyouZac T.

I came in on October 31st 2021 to close out a unit. Signed paperwork, removed my belongings, and left. About 2 weeks later I received a call telling me that I need to come out a lock on my unit. I call back and inform them that I closed the unit out on Halloween evening and had nothing in there, plus I moved out of state. They informed me that there were items in there and I needed to come in to redo the process. I then asked to speak to a manager who was unable to come to the phone and was told he’d call me back. Next thing you know I get an auction email. Called again to let them know hey I signed a paper back in October and have nothing there. Was again told that they would take care of it and I needed to do nothing. There was never a time that our account was maintained with accuracy. Our code was never updated correctly so we were locked out most of the time. We couldn't even make it through the security doors. No complaints or problems with storage. However, Be careful in renting trailers. The person that attached the trailer to the truck did not do properly. The trailer came off the ball of our truck. Employee Anna Hintze is very helpful for me to have a storage locked because I loss 3 storages total every time I made reservation per storage on 24908 S. Arizona Ave in Sun Lakes. I was very frustrated for a month because every time I make reservation and never sent me an email for me to send my credit card information and my I.D. to hold the storage. The storages was sold to someone else. I could not trust with Sun Lakes storage anymore. I had to find another location storage. I explained to her what happened. Anna found a storage for me on 6190 W. Chandler. to locked it so I could have a storage. Anna really helped me out. She has a good personality, professionalism, caring for me and good patience with me. I appreciate her help. Good Job Anna. I was in line for 30 minutes. There was only 1 customer ahead of me renting a truck. The customer was an employee and was trying to get an employee discount. The person behind the counter did not know how to give a discount. Another employee came in and said she had to start over. Then when she started over the customer’s employee number didn’t work. It’s unclear if this was a system issue or an incorrect number. Finally, the worker from outside helped me get my rental space. It took at total of 45 mins to to get my space that I had already reserved online. This was an excessive amount of time when only 1 person was in line ahead of me. I do not want to give the facility a bad review, but my last interaction is what made me not want to deal with this particular property again. The gentleman that assisted me was rude, unhelpful, and just plain did not care about his job. On top of all of that, I am being denied my prorated amount. The guy rudely said, We dont give any money back here. I am not happy with his behavior or the way he treated me. I am very frustrated with the fact that prorated amounts are not provided, I just paid for an entire month in the 13th and we moved out yesterday. I need to validate my return money on two units I never ended up renting. #1474 and # 2083. I believe #1474 was collected and transferred into 2083. Either way I need refunded $104MARCIA C. | First Impressions
First off I was not the person who started a lease with U-Haul but still was responsible. They never physically saw me sign or set up a U-Haul account and I was harassed every month. I was called back in June or July and told my storage unit was around &900 plus and I told them they could send the unit to auction. For some reason after that they kept calling me about the unit and kept asking for a payment until it reached close to $2000. Now one I’m not paying that because as I stated I never started an account with U-Haul and it’s illegal for someone else to initiate a unit in someone else’s name and make the party responsible. Second, I told them when they called in June send it to auction and they decided to keep it open to reck up almost another $1000 on charges they are gone default for me to pay which I’m not. Hours not posted correctly. Big 24 hour access sign by door. Got locked out while trying to move and had to call after hours to open so I could close unit and get my belongings. Called about having monthly canceled early since it was 3 days into new month. Told them we had everything cleared. Was told can't cancel the month and its rented by the month. Next time I came since I had to rent the whole month and I figured I'd pit a few thing in the unit. they had zip tied our unit closed and marked it clean and ready to rent. Had to go to office during business hours to have them remove and fix system. over all nice place but extremely poor communication. I will highly recommend that anyone I know go somewhere else.
