The staff at the West Maywood location are professional and accommodating. Yesterday they assisted me with signing in and out along with providing me with two swipe cards for my two storage locations. They explained how to use both cards and provided me with a hard copy of my bill. I have two storage units at this location, one of the better investments I've made this year. My units are clean, warm....there's clean restrooms and carts to use to assist me with the loading and unloading of my personal items. Thank you for being there for me West Maywood U'Haul!STEVEN M.

I have rented many Uhaul trucks in my life time. The staff has always been friendly, accommodating and professional. I am used to the team placing the rented dolly inside the truck, making sure there was sufficient amount of gas in the tank and inspecting the vehicle before we leave. This did not happen at this location. In addition, when we inquired about it, the young man that assisted us said that he would place the dolly in the truck but didn't. He said that he was going to inspect the truck with us but he didn't. I called inside and spoke to a young lady. She said that he didn't have to and instructed me to go online and do it. I was very disappointed with my initial visit. However, when I returned, a different young man checked me back in. He was very friendly and helpful! If I am expecting too much, than I am wrong. I don't want anyone to lose his/her job. I just want to receive the respect and service that I feel that I deserve and pay for. You have a very nice and clean facility. The truck was clean too. I just felt like it should had more gas in it. I hope and pray that if I ever use this facility again, my experience will be more pleasant.shirley E.

You should warn customers that the kind of truck I rented is very painful for people of my height. I could not move my legs. The seat could not move backwards.I could barely use the pedals my legs were so cramped. My femur was too long. My knees were crushed into the dash. I'm 6 ft 3 inches.JACOB C.

Being a Company in demand Uhaul is an Extra tool for Our Service Over the years We Use Uhaul about 4 times or more a Month. This New location Started Out great with a Good Management Suddenly 3months ago it Went to Hell. We're renting So Much from Multiple locations that We recognize new hires Renting its a Choir to do business here poor Attitude Clerks Lazy Unprepared for Work Untrained properly today 1st getting Uhaul equipment took 20min because she was using poor judgment finally got Attitude as payback when I explained we use this equipment daily. Here's the Winner return equipment 2hrs later put keys in box decided to walk in and say this because I No how these new hires like to hide over charge for lack of work upon saying to Shania Uhaul Clerk I just returned the equipment She asked if I Could put truck in parking Area I said no I'm sorry I have to go! Immediately she became hostile Said use wasn't supposed to put key in box I said that's what it's there for she said no you walk it in. She asked is the Truck Clean because we charged you before for Cement dirt I said really because we don't use that material it was there before I took pictures of Uhaul not Cleaning it so She was furious because now she had to work We no She doesn't no how to back trailer up in fact we Illistrated how to with last person few weeks ago just a nasty attitudeKEITH M.

Often I use U-Haul, lately I have been renting from the UHaul on 25th in Bellwood, Illinois. 9/29/2021 I returned my rental timely (9:27am) and was only able to receive a receipt indicating the balance of transaction. Additionally my rental didn't have a full tank, I send a picture of the mileage and gas gauge (approximately 9:40am) only to receive an email stating that a full tank is expected. For me this was service. Please note I am about 4 blocks from the Broadview location but because of the unprofessionalism and rudeness of the General Manager at that location I use other U-Haul locations. I would like to continue to use U-Haul with the expectation that good customer service and a high standard of professional is received.STEVEN M.

The inside staff did not know how to use the equipment or how to explain it to us. However one of the guys in the garage came out and was a huge help. My wife asked the lady as the front desk could a mechanic come out and help and she said no. In the end the mechanic (as he was leaving for the day) saw us struggling and came out to help. The mechanic told the young man that he could come and ask for help. all parties where helpful but please give them better customer service and trailer training especially if they charger us to help assemble the trailer.Ronnie J.

Train your staff. Have the Trucks In Order so you do not have to go back in and them move trucks so you can leave. Have your staff pay attention when a customer returns equipment, and come outside as the sign clearly tells the customer to wait in equipment.ROBERT M.

I rented for 8 hours. I had to go pick up truck at a different location, which was fine. I was running late and called them to let them know. When my driver got there, the place couldn't find the keys for the truck. That took some time and made us later. Then we were told that the truck had to be back by 6 not 8pm. My driver asked what time they closed? 7pm. So the uhaul place was told the truck would be in by 7. That is still less hours than I requested. I wasn't present for the drop off. They were not organized at all. Sorry, wouldn't rent from them again or recommend them to anyone.TIMOTHY R.

Location was great. Uhaul central ops is a NIGHTMARE. My truck location was changed twice before my pick up, the latter of them being 45 min before I was set to pick up my truck. What's the point of taking a reservation if there is no guaranteed truck? I will be taking my business elseware going forward. It's worth the extra cost to me.Patrick N.

Very poor customer service! I made a reservation for Sunday. Called on Wednesday to change the reservation for Saturday instead. They said that I was good to go for Saturday. Got to the location, and nobody changed the reservation to Saturday like requested. I had to wait almost 2 hours for an available truck which set me back in my moving schedule. Had a late start to move. I returned the truck Monday at noon to avoid getting charged an additional day. I was told that I was good to go and I will receive my receipt via email. I didn't get the receipt. The next day my debit card got charged an additional $27.27 for NO REASON. My account is in the hold because of this erroneous charge. At this point I'm very livid. I was charged an additional day because the employee didn't close out my contract. I was on hold for 52 minutes over the phone so I went in person. The employee had to call the manager to get my refund. My account is still in the hole because I have to wait an additional 3 to 5 business days to get my money back. I will not recommend this location to anyone. They will not be getting any more of my business and money. Ever.YOLANDA T.

I went to pick up the truck yesterday morning and was told I had no truck reserved. The girl at the desk seemed annoyed with me and didn't want to help me figure out what happened to my reservation. A few minutes later 2 other employees came inside and helped figure out the situation. I did in fact have a truck reserved. When I dropped off the truck later in the afternoon, the same girl (who was annoyed with me) was there at the desk alone and there were no customers. I walked in with my daughter and asked her twice to please come outside and review the truck with me to make sure everything was in order and she said it wasn't necessary because she checks them all before she leaves. I told her I gased up the truck and wanted her to check and again she said it wasn't necessary because she would check it later. Later in the evening I received another credit card charge and when I called customer service they said it was because I didn't put gas. And I explained that I did, now I have an open dispute to figure out what happened and why I was charged. I would not go back to this location. I had a horrible experience.Jessica L.

Time spent on the phone on hold, no matter what time of day was ridiculous. Had to make at least 8 phone calls (over 6 hours worth of on hold, disconnections, transfers to incorrect state numbers) to get the boxes delivered to the new address which was 6 miles from the old one. The only way we were able to get the boxes delivered to the new address was to have the online employee email the Traffic Control managers. That person was able to find and set up the delivery in 5 minutes.....We were on the phone with MANY others for over 6 hours to no avail. We were told to either haul it ourselves or empty into a truck we could rent (sounds a little like bait and switch). We will NOT be using UHAUL again and will be telling others of our experience.Adam H.
