Terrible service. The locks were frozen so I had to wait an hour for a representative to unlock my key. Then after crediting me $50 they they called me back to tell me that the lock being frozen is not their problem and then took away my credit. WORST SERVICE I’ve ever seen to grant the credit and then take it away after the fact.
Lucas SI did have to sweep snow and ice off the windshield but it had just snowed the night before so I understood that. Although I had to use my own scraper and brush from my car because there was nothing in the truck. I didn't want to answer NO on the maintenance question though because all in all it was in good shape. Good service when I arrived and the experience before getting there was good in terms of preparational notifications and reminders.

Parker S | Overall ExperienceWhile the service was very good, the truck was not in a usable condition; the brakes did not work properly, and the check engine light was on. I only kept the truck because I was moving nearby. But this truck shouldn't be working. Besides that, the truck was clean.
Antonio AFor the 3rd hire in a row in past 2 weeks the gas reading was incorrect. Yesterday the mileage was out by more than 100 miles. On saturday the girl at checkout insisted that I take photos of all the dents on the truck, the mileage and petrol before I could start the hire and when I refused saying in 9 years of renting from this location I had never been asked to do that, only when she phoned the new manager did she relent. Truck hire should be simple and the starting gas level and mileage stated must be accurate!!
Robert RRented 20 ft truck. Did the inspection and checked the cargo space right away. It was full of construction dirt and mud. Truck was never cleaned from the outside as well. Windshield was completely covered in dirt. Inside the cabin found 3 contracts from previous customers right on top of the dashboard meaning that the truck was never cleaned. Went inside to express my disappointment and asked to switch a truck since they had a least 5 clean trucks parked on the lot. She advised me that instead of switching trucks they will clean it for me even though I told her that I was in the rush. Cleaning person took his time to clean the cargo space but did not clean the inside of the cabin. Dashboard lights centre console were not working at all. Not the first time I got a dirty truck from this location.
ELYAR SI had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life at this U-Haul storage facility. I arrived last night after hours, only to discover that the storage unit assigned to me was not available. I ended up wasting 2 and half hours trying to reach support to fix the issue, and no one was able to help me. Completely unacceptable. This wasn’t even the first problem. During the booking process, the staff was already rude. A girl from the office called me while I was waiting in line, and while I was speaking, she cut me off mid-sentence to talk to another customer and said, “Can you help him?” to another team member, completely ignoring me. Very unprofessional. Because my unit wasn’t available and I live in an apartment with no space to keep a truck overnight, I had no choice but to call support and inform them I was leaving the truck in the loading/unloading bay—at least there are cameras there. I had no other option. I then drove back at 6:30 AM the next morning just so I could be at the office right when they opened at 7 AM. When I asked the same staff member about why this happened, he simply said the unit “showed available in the system” and admitted he didn’t even check if it actually was. I explained the trouble I went through the night before, and instead of apologizing, he casually said he was “ready” for whatever his manager would tell him. No apology. No accountability. Nothing. The level of incompetence, carelessness, and lack of customer service at this location is shocking. I strongly recommend avoiding this facility. There are plenty of other storage options—don’t put yourself through the frustration I experienced.

Truong VThere always seems to be a lineup at the counter. That said, most staff are very helpful and do a great job.
ALAN STrailer was okay. Needed to be swept before we could use it. Also the rear door latch was very difficult to open and close. Lots of rust on it. Otherwise a good experience and I would rent from U-haul again because it is a good price point.
Mark VWe had to park in single spots when loading at a condo, prop up the trailer hitch with a milk crate at one spot and take my truck to another spot. When it came time to re-hitch to my truck it needed two people to lift the hitch and when it was lowered my son's finger go badly crushed between tow bar and milk crate. I strongly recommend that these units be fitted with a hitch jack as a safety improvement

I was not offered a discount, or reimbursed in anyway. In fact I was forced to pay significantly more for the gas and km. On top of all that the return time given to me was cut by 2 hours from 6 to 4

Obviously no one regularly checks the bathroom as it was plugged and very smelly and appeared to have been like that for some time. Otherwise the experience was extremely positive. KARISHMA DThe person who gave me the truck in Oakville overestimated the fuel level. When I took it there was 84miles left to empty when I gave it back I filled it up to 124 miles to empty. I was asked to pay for the fuel. The person at the pick up location was dishonest and overestimated the fuel level. Instead of me putting out of my pocket more fuel it created a problem at the drop off. Lesson learned, never trust U-haul, always take pictures before and after
SEBASTIAN KThis was my second rental and I’m really impressed. Check-in was quick and friendly, and the van was spotless inside and out. It was raining that day and the windshield seemed to have a Rain-X treatment — the water just rolled right off. Everything felt clean and safe, from the mirrors to the cameras. Great experience and worth every penny.

FREDERICK ECould not get into the building because the door was broken. No phone number listed anywhere to call for uhaul. Security company wouldn't help me get in. Connected me with uhaul. They couldn't help. Called the GM who didnt pick up. No solution other than come back tomorrow. Next morning the staff was still not aware the door was broken. They opened the door manually. I asked the manager to call me at some point during the day and left my card. No one called. Ramp and loading area was terrible with lots of bumps and badly designed entrance. First time ever using self storage because you gave me a free month. Not impressed.

Claude CI like your support in spite i canceled and ordered again several times. One area that can be improved is delivery time. I booked elevator for two hours from 10:00AM till 12:00PM but U-BOXes arrived at 12:00PM

I had a problem with the unit where sawdust was coming in from a project happening beside it, I was given a refund for my month and they quickly fixed the top to close the opening. Michelle is an amazing manager and does an excellent job with that facility.

The mechanic was very efficient and made the repair and I was on my way. As I was delayed a few hours a credit was offered for my inconvenience: Excellent customer service by the Michelle the location Manager. Well done!

GLEN FI checked for prices online before connecting with an agent, by phone. A local agent wasn't available, and I was connected with an agent in the US. The agent was pleasant to speak with, but quoted a price higher than what was posted online, and recommended a pickup location that was much further than where I was. I decided to search for a closer location, and found one. The agent at this location offered an option to lower the price for the rental. I took that option and am very happy with the rental and service. The option (for customers) to save, should always be presented, when presenting the costs.
RONALD CThe roof had a hole in it, but you can see it unless you go in the back of the truck and close the door. It was raining the day I used the truck and it wrecked 2 custom build drawer units. Cost me about $800 in damages. I told U-Haul about this and they didn’t seem to care. To make matters worse, even though I warned them about the hole, they proceeded to rent out the truck to the next person. Absolutely wild

GORDON MA chaotic day due to power cuts at U-Haul. Initially I stayed at the reception area for 45 minutes and then left as nobody could do anything. Returned a few hours later to find that there was still no power. However Serena E did an excellent job of checking me in using per personal mobile phone, allocating me a storage unit, setting up auto monthly payments, etc. She did an excellent job !!

VICTOR UThe service inside was probably the worst service I have received. When I went to pickup the trailer the lady working had zero personality and rreally could care if I was there. Then to top it off when I went out get get the trailer, the trailer wasn't there. The male worker came to see if I needed help and he switched it to a different one. But after hooking that one up the left turn signal didn't work. He asked me if my truck worked and I replying with yes, and suggested that he try a different trailer. Finally that trailer work and I was able to go on my way.

This should have already been confirmed that everything was in place, Check list should be created before new tenant moves in automatically. The booking of Moving labour was a disaster and had to cancel my rental truck as the moving company hired thru the U haul web site at the last minute, called and did not meet the original plan saying that the people had no drivers license and no moving equipment and was only booked for 2 hours but it would take them 5 hours by bus to get to location and ask for 350 dollars extra, so I canceled them, and had to hire another company 4 hours before the actual move, Very terrible and stressful experience using the Moving Labor tab on the U haul web site

It put me in an awkward situation when I was at the locker late one night. Facility is spotless though and well secured. Would definitely recommend.

The woman (who told me on the phone that I had to be there 30 min before office hours ended) handled my paperwork and it look less than five min. After telling her that I’ve never rented a storage unit before, she told me what my passcode was and sent me on my way. Told me there was an elevator right as you walk in and that I was easy to find. I then tried to access the facility with my passcode with no success. After multiple failed attempts, I went back in and asked for help. The man came to help and he explained that I needed to put my passcode in two different things in a specific order, before I could enter. Then I entered the facility and walked around for a while looking for an elevator and couldn’t find it. I checked the map, and the elevator seemed to be in a different part of the building and on the opposite end. We then had to ask the man for help again and he was patient with us as he told us that we needed to drive the Uhaul truck around the building to the other side to access this area and my unit. In conclusion, the man was very helpful after the woman did very little to explain anything to me. It was a long day moving and at least half the staff was willing to help.

She should have also directed me to the location. Didn't care. She also should have gone over the sign in and signed out instructions as well. I ended up setting off the alarm. On a positive note the storage facility was clean, well lit and I was impressed with the check in/check out feature once I figured that out.
Dieter K | First ImpressionsThe staff was very pleasent and professional as well they provided a better alternative with the truck rental since I have a time sensitive matter that needed a truck asap and at first I reserve a 10" truck but it was only available for 12 hours which they suggest to get a 15" truck which was available and could have the 24 hours rental time which was great for me as well it had the built in ramp too so made moving my stuff much easier and didn't have to rush bc had the extra time. As well I was able to get the one month of free storage since I rented the truck so very happy about that and would highly recommend Uhaul!!
Airina B | Online Move InI was in a desperate situation; after driving 20 hrs, I finally arrived the U-Haul location in Oakville, there were 3 guys and they all said that nobody is going to unload my car from the trailer. A person loaded my car to trailer in Alabama without any hesitate. Also, It was a big frustration for me that, on top of all the tiredness, no one tried to help and acted indifferently, as if they were trying to get rid of it. You guys have to change your attitude!

The front counter guy gave us instructions on how to enter after hours but was unsuccessfully and a waste of our time and gas. Also, getting a hold of someone at this location is unheard of. It is done thru a call centre (remotely). Leaving a message to Call Centre to get this location to return my phone call was unsuccessfully as well. Newly renovated storage facility at this location was very clean and secured.

The day I went in to arrange the unit the person in the rental office was not overly familiar with the storage rental process. The process ended up taking an hour which included several phone calls to a supervisor. Actual sign in and out procedures for unit were not fully explained - was not told that we needed to sign out on the keypad after leaving. Got it done in the end. Unit is perfect. Just recommend that experienced staff should be available. Felt quite sorry for the gentleman in line behind me as no one else was available to help him.

I still have yet to recieve any type of confirmation email that is been canceled. They verified my email and it is correct. Several emails went unresponded to and after over a week of radio silence, I had to call them to get the cancellation processed before they charged my card.

Therefore I confirmed that it's okay for me . he said that also one space available at ground floor and changed my reservation to that. till now everything is okay but at the end I found that the rent of this pace is higher than second floor and he didn't mention anything about it. I know that it's just $5 and not a big money but exactly I chosen that warehouse and location based on the price. anyway, I realized this price different after I already dropped my items at the storage space and I was lazy to ask them to change my contract again to second floor and I move again all items to second floor.

Since it was 4mins past office hrs with no one answering the service line. At one point we called the # and someone hung up. Finally Michelle gave us another unit, she was pretty helpful but the night experience was horrible.

But the door would not accept the code and I called 1800 number which didn’t help at all. They said the manager at the site needs to be talked to. I had to cancel my plans and then come back the next day sacrificing my sleep and spend 4 hours to pickup and transport the items in my unit and then go for a 10 hour night shift at work. When i raised the issue with the employee and the manager they said they will have to talk to IT to look at the door issue. Not even an apology.

But the service experience as a whole was absolutely horrible. We reserved the space and truck. Called to confirm everything was good the day before. Was thanked for confirming. Then. Arrived to be good our space was rented out. Apparently the reservation means absolutely nothing!! It as very upsetting. I had to move my mother in that one day and had done all the work to prepare only to be told that reserved means nothing to anyone at uhaul. The girl apologized that this is the policy. Offered to call another location. But we picked that location for a reason. It was very stressful for my senior mom. We ended up in a much more expensive space just to spent through everything. I’ll not recommend uhaul for reliable service/policy. Still angry over the whole thing!

Had to fuel up midway through a move with a truck full of belongings, no truck availability, also rented me another cargo van with a flat tire, had I not noticed I could have been in serious danger on the highway driving.
