please ensure that you tell customers there is a lockbox at the guelph location , we were waiting 45 minutes and no one told us . 24/7 pickup service is NOT true at this location as the door to access lock box was locked and not accessible to customers outside of business hours.

While I specifically chose the online pick up and drop off to avoid social interaction during this Covid-19 pandemic, I still had to go inside to getbthe furniture pads that weren't already in the truck, and therefore increase my exposure to others. It was a small point but distracting nonetheless.

driver door not closing properly. Appreciated the hand sanitizer at the clerk station but tap should be allowed for credit cards to avoid contact points with clerk's hands. Wearing gloves by clerks does not help customers.

Depends on who you deal with at the location. On the phone the lady did not help me out, when things were changed on me without me knowing. However in store there was a gentleman that understood the circumstances and tried his best to help.

I got out of my car yesterday to go inside the office and then fell on the ice on then sidewalk. I went down so quickly that he head contacted one of the storage unit doors. Other than a headache and a sore knee I’m fine but it didn’t make for a great start to motorcycle moving day. Your team had put some ice melt down but not on the whole sidewalk and the eaves trough was leaking onto the sidewalk which froze . The trailer worked great though

The dolly I ordered and paid for wasn’t in the truck. Also the drop off app didn’t work when I brought the vehicle back. This incurred a late charge, Even though I had the vehicle back two hours prior to the delivery time.. I was also charged for the dolly that wasn’t there. Will not use U-Haul again.

Not a good experience with UHaul this time around. When we arrived at the location many of the staff members (not the one dealing with us but others) were very dishevelled looking. One of the workers was talking on her cellphone, behind the desk, having an inappropriate for work conversation. Very unprofessional. To top it off when we received the truck, the back was dirty and went, and therefore frozen solid with it being February. We were also assured the padlock on the truck was in working condition, since we were renting overnight. However, at 10:30pm when we finished packing everything the padlock was broken. If not for a family friend our belongings would've been very vulnerable to being stolen. When my husband returned the truck and mentioned our displeasure at this he was met with attitude and indifference. Not great customer service. Needless to say we will not be using UHaul again.

Well staffed with prompt and excellent service when we picked truck up around 8:30 am on a Saturday morning. However not the case when we returned it same day around 6:30 pm. There were two other customers standing around waiting for staff to be available to serve them. No staff at any of the service counters. We waited a bit then my son went in again and loudly called for someone to come out. Someone did then and customers ahead of us and we finally got served. We specifically returned the truck during open hours to have a quick return which wasn’t the case. Didn’t expect it to take half an hour. Service was just okay once we were served.

The customer service that I received - both on the phone during my booking call and in the store itself on Saturday was just excellent. I interacted with four different people and everyone was friendly, helpful and pleasant to deal with. I wish I knew their names so that I could recommend them all personally. The people made the experience a good one. This is not the UHaul I remember dealing with many years ago. What a nice surprise. Thank you!

the process was a bit slow. your people take good care of the customers but because they go over everything and take the customers out to the truck, it causes a longer wait to get your vehicle. it may have just been due to the time i was there.

When I returned truck , I unknowingly had a small flat box left in the back. I was told I would have to take it or be charged by the unpleasant man who received the truck. Furthermore I asked if they had a recycle bin for cardboard , and He said they didn't , nor had any bins whatsoever. So , I was left looking dumb having to take a piece of cardboard home in a taxi. I guess they do not like repeat business.

Why advertise 19.99 when the bill ends up at $100 in my case? Think from the customer's perspective! In today's day and age, have an app on-line that the customer uses to reserve the vehicle - use google maps to lay out route to then derive mileage cost. Also add in information you collect at counter to speed it all up. Compare yourselves to Car Rental Companies. Time the average door to vehicle leaving lot process and see how to make that faster. Your staff are using mobile apps already for the license verification. Make that app available to smart phones and have customer do all paperwork in advance when reserving the vehicle. Then just scan license at desk to verify data and person. Think about how quick the drop off process is. Simple and fast.Then gas is nuts. Have you not been able to work this out yet?? Is it not possible just to use kms driven x average kms per litre? You already build in the km charge as is. Truck goes out full and has to come back full. Real simple. Or customer accepts reasonable per km gas charge based on odometer reading.

The system is poor and too demanding for simple rentals. Make an express version for quick rental and drop off of simple items. I spent 45 min to rent a simple hand dolly worth 7$....

I had a 24hr trailer rental reserved from 6pm on 02.07.20 to 6pm on 02.08.20. I arrived at 5:55pm and was told they had to move my return time back to 5:30pm the following day because it was not 6pm yet. Why is your system see up this way? I then had to call your customer service to request it to be adjusted to 6pm (Which they kindly did). But that was a hassle. Please change your system. This is not customer friendly what so ever. I realize i could have waited 5 minutes and then went back to your checkout to complete the rental but that it just silly for the sake of 5 minutes...

$319????? I was told I would not be charged extra. The app to rent was a nightmare, the truck was dirty inside, the gas reading was wrong and the app wouldn’t let me dispute it, the door was incredibly hard to close (broken). The key box to return the truck was not clearly labelled and I returned the furniture pads but was still charged.
