I'm upset with uhaul in general. I had a reservation for a 20 food truck a week before, only to get a call from my original location to say that they were moving me to a further location because they didn't have any and that location had the size I requested. I get to that location and they give me a 26 foot truck and when I asked if I can get it for the price of a 20 foot truck I was told "your lucky you got q truck at all." I was speeches and I had no choice because I had to move no later than today. I really couldn't afford the price for the 26 foot vs. the 20 foot. walk in at 6.30pm at Westland location ,Power out , call traffic control and traffic control tell rept do manual contract and the lady there did not want do manual contract. Call back traffic control at 6.50pm , they said go Inkster location to pick up and Megan will hold and waiiting for me.. I hurry try to beat the traffic , cut off ppl , get there at 7.01 Pm , they said they were close and did not want to help and did not hold like they said. Wasted my time and my life tryng to hurry beat the traffic and got no help from both location. Terrible customer service.Pierre V.

I rented this unit and never used it one time. I put in my request to cancel the unit and paid my bill in full. I called the office and explained that the unit was never used and was empty and that I had lost the key to cut the lock. I do NOT have access to a car and am disabled. The office staff continued to bill me afer I cancelled the unit. I have made a complaint to the BBB and will be making a complaint about being discriminated against because I am disabled. I have proof that I completed the cancellation request and was paid in full. If someone can call me to fix this I will be happy to withdraw my complaint. 734-833-8603. Rather than getting the equipment to my preferred location (where the web said it should be) I was made to go to this location. They did not show me anything on the truck or help with loading my car on the dolly. The told me I had to return to have the hitch hookup inspected so I wouldn't void the warranty. That was way out of my way, so I stopped at a location on my path and they didn't understand why I was told that. They also gave me a car dolly that was supposed to stay at their location, but I was going one way and that precipitated several calls while I was trying to load the truck. They also didn't have the loading dolly I requested even though my reservation was made 3 weeks in advance. They did give me a utility dolly which worked fine, but why they didn't have what I requested at the location that was closest to me is not acceptable.Charles S.

My experience on both ends was excellent. Just do the current situation a little bit of waiting on my part do to short staffing. North Fort Myers was a bit difficult to navigate do to its restive lay out, may want to have everyone enter at the south entrance. Also we hired Twins moving from a list of movers U Haul supplied. These 2 guys were amazing I would recommend them to anyone needing help.Mike M.

The online pickup was horribly inefficient. It took over 30 minutes to confirm me. Then I still had to wait in line. It would have been quicker just to do the entire process in person. On line was a waste of time.Brandon M.

They were helpful and friendly and they tried their best to help me pick my boxes at U-Haul. Your mobile check in process is a hassle, and asks for a lot of spontaneous information, a lot of which I had already provided at the time of reservation. Also your check in process is obnoxiously pushy about completely useless add ons that I have already declined when making the reservation. What is even the point of asking me upfront if you're just going to push and push and push some more? It wastes my time and makes me far less likely to consider UHaul worth the hassle in the futureCourtney S.

You didn't ask the right questions in your survey. We scheduled a 15' truck for pickup near our home. You changed it to a place near downtown Detroit (extra 20 minute drive each direction for us). We agreed to the change. Someone from the Detroit place called me to confirm. After brief discussion, we agreed on a 3:00 PM pick-up. We arrived at about 3:10, and the place was closed. After some strange phone conversations with people at your 800 number, we were told we could get a truck in Westland, MI, a second 35 minute drive in the wrong direction. We did get a truck there, and the rest of the trip went as intended. You wasted over an hour and a half of both my wife's and my time. As you well know, time is usually tight during moving events. The black lady manager was awesome. I vacated my unit nearly 2 weeks early and they said no refund for prorate. Check in took a very long time, the person who checked me in took the order of a person who came behind me while I waited in the chair waiting to do the paperwork, he told me that the unit had been booked 4 times and had to make sure I could get the unit. Then I was given a reprogrammed used access card. When I get to my unit there is a lien lock and customer lock. Trying to get storage unit situated they left truck on which I didn't know was on and went from Wayne rd to Newburgh and brought back which should be very near gas line and I was charged $20.
