The uhaul pretty much had no alignment and poor shocks. The whole 1048 mile trip was a nightmare, having to keep a tight grip on the steering wheel and hitting your head on the ceiling of the cab on any bumps in the road. I have used Uhaul many times and this was my worst experience by far.CHERYL H.

The reservation process is awful. Not the location's fault but the reservation system. You reserve a trailer online at one location, you are then called and asked to change trailer size and pickup location. The Alta Mere location was great. The original location Devon self Storage was a dumpster fire. Between U-Haul allowing someone to rent a vehicle from a place that was actually closed is mind boggling! My schedule was delayed over 2 damn hours thanks to this very controllable mistake on both Devon Self Storage and U-Haul's online reservation system. Do better U-Haul. Disgraceful user experience you have with your communication to remedy (over 45 minutes waiting!) the issue. I had to fix myself. Actually make sure that the packing blankets that we ordered make it into the trailer... had so many issues getting the right size UHaul trailer that after I finally got it home to start loading and noticed that the packing blankets weren't there, I gave up and loaded my belongings without them.SHARYN G.

I asked what the charge would be if we kept the trailer for additiontal days. More than once I was told $20. When I returned the trailer we asked what the charge would be and were told "it would be emailed to us". When we got the invoice we were charged the $20 per day plus an additional $64 for "tow safe". I presume that is the insurance we took out? No one told us that would be a per day charge. The website did not indicate a per day charge, nor did anyone inform us the ins was not a flat fee, but would be prorated. No improvement needed at this location, the young lady at the front desk was absolutely helpful and very friendly and thorough with everything, and the gentleman who hooked up our trailer dolly was very helpful and friendly as well explaining everything to us being our first time using one. If I ever need to rent again I will definitely choose this location. Now as for the location on 3019 Altamesa Blvd Fort Worth,Tx 76133, I'd recommend getting new employees that actually want to work. Young kids working the desk and retrieving what's needed blatantly showed how happy they were when they supposedly didn't have a dolly to haul a car, even though there was 5 out back. We had trouble finding the truck using the app and check in. A quick check in took over 20 minutes to finally leave with our rental. (the man who finally found us a rental was helpful and friendly) We rented a dolly through the app, but it was not available to us for the moveâ€”we had to go buy one instead because we couldn't move without one. I was still charged for it, and had to argue about getting it taken off. We also returned the fuel on a 1/4 tank as instructed to keep our $21 credit for returning it with 1/4 tank fuel. I had to argue that as well because they were only going to give me $8 back. The young lady working inside the counter that day was extremely rude and not helpful when I had a question. I just walked out. I have used uHaul numerous times at other locations with no problems. I will not be back to this location.Karen K.

Two employees smoking while sitting down next to the entrance of the store and did not offer any assistance. Vehicle smelled so strongly of smoke that it made me nauseous and I only used it for 1 hour. The first truck I was assigned was"filthy",I was told. My rental was not at the location. No one was at the location. When someone finally arrived they were rude and couldn't find the reservation. There were no trucks there. Had to call customer service and was sent to a location further away. Second location poorly staffed. Hard to find the truck. Original truck was switched in the middle of the mobile prowess. I was a day late on my reservation for a large unit. I drove half way across the US and had a issue which caused that delay and when I arrives at the facility I was told that my unit was given away. First of Ll that makes no sense. If I booked a hotel room for a month and was a day late it would not matter, I would simply have one less day. This has forever changed my opinion of uhaul and realize it's just another evil corporation. The salesperson at the desk was rude about it and offered no solution for me. I had to ask him, "how can you help me now" because he offered no options...until I asked. I was given a tiny unit that made I had to pack completely which made it nearly impossible to ever get anything I needed without unpacking all the boxes each time I needed to find something. Not to mention the smell of toxic poison was so strong that I would lose my sense of taste after being inside for more than 10 minutes. I NEVER moved into the unit. I’ve emailed 3 times explaining I never ever located the unit bc I have to have a drive up unit, because I have a bad back. I did reserve & did use a storage facility the UHaul customer service lady reserved for me. I rented 2 different moving trucks that I never used because I became very sick & wasn’t able to do anything but rest. I just wished I would get a reply from the storage communications the same day I signed for the unit & again a few days later. My daughter did the booking of the storage and U-Haul online. Unbeknownst to the both of us we rented a locker as well as a small storage truck. The small storage truck was able to move all of her belongings from a one bedroom apartment the problem came in when we realized at 8 o’clock at night that she rented a locker instead of an actual storage room! Young lady who gave me the keys told me to look for the number on top of the truck and pretty much nothing else I drove around in circles trying to figure where 1546 was 26 and after driving around three circles I figured out that it was in the inside yet so knowing that I had to keep the hall for a longer time and speak to you are represented online who was very helpful and saved my impression for the storage facility the managers I spoke to secondly was very helpful as well but there was a customer service rep or cashier named Liam a young girl not very helpful At all her service was very very unserviceable it was as if I was bothering her she spoke very low and didn’t greet me when I came in like when I came in the second time and was greeted upon arrival.Leah H. | Online Move In

Eatman helped me after being chided By a woman about not having a mask on. My family has a medical exemption and they were not honoring it. However, after explaining the law to Eatman, and offering to step outside to do the transaction, he kindly offered to help. Please update your staff on the laws. People with medical conditions aren’t required to wear a mask. You also shouldn’t have every employee asking a customer about a mask. It becomes bullying at that point. I used the online after hours support to return the trailer. The online portal to return the trailer repeatedly malfunctioned preventing me to reach an expected "completion" page leaving me to believe that I had not completed the return process. Nevertheless, I left the trailer at the designated drop-off location at the U-Haul facility and planned to return to the facility the next morning to complete the return.
