would like to start with a full tank of gas. It was very difficult to estimate how much fuel to purchase after the rental. I only drove 13 miles. The fuel gauge was not responsive when filling. I added 5 gallons of gas before the gauge moved. By then, I had replaced way more fuel than. That increased the cost of the rental and reduced the value of the rental for me

The more seasoned staff at this place are extremely knowledgeable. The overall customer experience isn't as good as some other places (takes longer than it should to get rental started at the counter), but I will still likely always default here with it being close to my house.

my 9pm pickup was not honored because the local site did not prep the vehicle, cost me several hours of wasted time Sunday night and negatively impacted Monday schedule. When you live on medication schedules - this is more than an inconvenience.

Very deceptive around fuel costs. We used this van for a very short trip to a storage unit, put $12 of gas into it which was more than we used and still got charged for a tank of gas because they said we needed to fill it to full instead of where it was when we got it. Our used mile volume doesn't equate to that much gas usage, but we couldn't prove it with a picture of the fuel gauge. Won't ever go back.

Not the locations fault. I was informed there was a $25 fee if I didn't fold up the blankets. Fine. But right after that the agent told me I had come in under the mileage. I was also two days early. No rebate for any of that. Just sort of left me with a “screw you” feeling, and I've been a good customer the last 3 years.

Fix your website. I got charged and extra 20$ for delivering the truck back with fuel filled back to how I got it, truck was clean and truck was parked back where it needed to be. But a 20$ service fee still applied. I did everything it said. And still got charged. That being said, I wont be using Uhaul ever again.

More units but sitting on ground level. I couldn't get a BBQ smoker on the inside . So the only unit seems to be sitting on something not at ground level and the 5×8 trailer was low so I had to lift the smoker up to the level of the unit to roll it in. A back breaker with items this heavy and one person off loading. Thanks for caring and asking .

Just make sure the equipment that should be with the truck is in the truck. I had to come back the next day to get my dolly that I rented as well. They made it up though. So I'm pleased with the professionalism

The vehicle itself was great and just what I needed. The employees are so so rude. I had no idea I had to return the van to a certain spot when I returned it, which the person should have told me when I rented it but the employee who told me to bring it up was so disgustingly rude about it I could not believe it. Customer service needs to be improved if you want to stop people from going to competitors.

Liam was completely disrespectful and rude. He had an attitude from the time we pulled up to back up to the trailer till the time we pulled off. His customer service was completely poor to the point where I had to say something to him when I shouldn't have had to. I have used this location before and I've never had an issue till now. I NEVER moved into the unit. I’ve emailed 3 times explaining I never ever located the unit bc I have to have a drive up unit, because I have a bad back. I did reserve & did use a storage facility the UHaul customer service lady reserved for me. I rented 2 different moving trucks that I never used because I became very sick & wasn’t able to do anything but rest. I just wished I would get a reply from the storage communications the same day I signed for the unit & again a few days later. If anyone reads these, can you please advise of your storage policy & cancellations. I certainly would appreciate it greatly. Thank you! Respectfully, SRB

Truck smelt like smoke. First truck I tried renting has a check engine light and the guy told me to take it across country anyway. Then they told me to pick up another truck in Lexington and then drive back to Winchester to pick up my auto transport. I then canceled my order entirely only to find out that I hadn't been refunded for my first order. Then after attempting a second time to reserve a truck and trailer, I received a phone call telling me to drive 30 minutes out of my way to pick up my reservation in another town. Absolutely terrible experience with Uhaul. I hate that I paid 1300 dollars for a truck that reeked, had a terrible alignment and drove like crap.

This review is about Ubox container delivery and not really any specific location. I spoke to Uhaul, Ubox customer support, and moving help.com the Monday before my Saturday delivery and every person told me I could have it scheduled for delivery a day earlier for that Friday. Every person I spoke to did not bring up any issues with scheduling for Friday and the last thing I was told is to contact my movers to schedule with them. Then Friday arrives and my movers that were booked and scheduled through Uhaul are told they can not pick up my containers bc they can not be released since they are scheduled for Saturday. I contact Uhaul and the first person says “there must be something that can be done we will figure this out” then transfers me to someone with Ubox support and that is when every person I speak to tells me nothing can be done and basically it's my fault my problem bc it was scheduled for Saturday and NO NOTES of my phone conversations on Monday are in my account. Basically my phone conversations do not exist in the Uhaul realm of things. To make it worse the moving help told me that this is something that happens frequently and he has heard this story before. Fortunately the movers were understanding but it is absolutely ridiculous that I drove to another state and got in a day earlier bc I was told my containers could be delivered on Friday and then slept on the floor bc I had my 66 year old mother with me and I was not going to make her sleep on the floor. (Fortunately I purchased a twin mattress for a daybed that did arrive as scheduled). THEN the day of the move each container was released one at a time making it the longest unload of any move in my life. Not one person offered a solution or attempted to resolve this issue. Not one person expressed any form of apologies and not one person offered anything that looked like a form of customer service. Uhaul should not be making these types of mistakes especially on a long haul move and should be offering some form of reimbursement bc a discount on future services is meaningless and basically a slap in the face.

First storage I got sold to Me straight said has holes don’t sell unit went in had to pay to get a outside unit instead we start to open it and move in realize holes in the wall and another red tag says to not sell unit has holes in it by this time office was closed had to move into a 125$ unit just to have holes in there no lock with a key had to go buy one organization and communication to the units would make a huge difference in this experience.

My daughter did the booking of the storage and U-Haul online. Unbeknownst to the both of us we rented a locker as well as a small storage truck. The small storage truck was able to move all of her belongings from a one bedroom apartment the problem came in when we realized at 8 o’clock at night that she rented a locker instead of an actual storage room! Young lady who gave me the keys told me to look for the number on top of the truck and pretty much nothing else I drove around in circles trying to figure where 1546 was 26 and after driving around three circles I figured out that it was in the inside yet so knowing that I had to keep the hall for a longer time and speak to you are represented online who was very helpful and saved my impression for the storage facility the managers I spoke to secondly was very helpful as well but there was a customer service rep or cashier named Liam a young girl not very helpful At all her service was very very unserviceable it was as if I was bothering her she spoke very low and didn’t greet me when I came in like when I came in the second time and was greeted upon arrival.

I didnt catch the name of the young man who helped us but he was top notch. We had to transfer a storage unit and he was helpful and knew how to do all the paperwork confidently. The whole process took maybe 15 minutes and it was so much easier than we expected. You have a very good employee on your staff and should be proud that he represents you so well.

Eatman helped me after being chided By a woman about not having a mask on. My family has a medical exemption and they were not honoring it. However, after explaining the law to Eatman, and offering to step outside to do the transaction, he kindly offered to help. Please update your staff on the laws. People with medical conditions aren’t required to wear a mask. You also shouldn’t have every employee asking a customer about a mask. It becomes bullying at that point. But you have a great employee in Eatman. He was Professional and calm and had a great personality through the process. Thumbs up to him!

I chose deliberately not to go on autopay because I hoped to stop needing the storage unit sooner. Paying month by month was far more stressful that it need be because of being able to make the payment on only a single day--impossible to pay on receipt of the reminder. Changing that would be a service to your customers.

Big help in relocation of My daughter family. As a learning experience for myself I now know to take pictures of starting fuel and odometer gauges because on more than one occasion what the office thought was the starting fuel was wrong. I paid 16$ Refueling yesterday for a 5 mile trip. Was so happy to be done with the move that I didn’t dispute. Rating would be Excellent if not for that.

The only complaint I have is the storage door would get stuck up behind a metal bracket. Also the door latch has a weld bead that would cause it to stick open. But overall, I'm very pleased with my experience there!

I used the online after hours support to return the trailer. The online portal to return the trailer repeatedly malfunctioned preventing me to reach an expected "completion" page leaving me to believe that I had not completed the return process. Nevertheless, I left the trailer at the designated drop-off location at the U-Haul facility and planned to return to the facility the next morning to complete the return. A few hours later I received an email from U-Haul confirming the return. Summary: Please check the online return software as it appears to be broken.

The phone service to contact someone from this U-Haul facility never worked well. I had a hard time contacting anyone to ask questions or reply to voice messages left on my phone. I also had someone hang up on me and never call me back, even though I tried to call back again. The storage unit was okay but it was dingy and the whole facility just needs some upkeep.

This storage locker was supposed to be a 10x10 and measured 9x9. The garage door was old, the track and lock hasp were rusted and extremely difficult to operate. Overall, poor quality / high price.
