The site to return the truck yourself didn't work well. I had to redo it 3 times because the site kept glitching as I progressed to the next pages. It needs to be improved so that doesn't keep happening.Christina C.

The facility was great but the van was a little â€œslipperyâ€œ in the handling- with good road conditions. Several times I felt as if I was momentarily losing control or unexpectedly drifting at the speed limit on a straight highway. I'd hate to have to drive it in the snow or rain.Carole F.

your website logic needs work. 1. booked a truck at a separate site with helping hands labor for unloading the night before. Accepted payment and received no errors with this step 2. the helping hands labor called me back and said this was a recurring problem with uhaul double booking them. They had no capacity that afternoon to work with me, despite uhaul booking the appointment. I had to cancel them and book another crew 3. On the day of rental, the site I had booked the truck from was closed. The reservation from the truck had been cancelled. I called in to the 1-800 number and spoke with Theresa Luschinski, who told me the truck there was not rentable. Luckily she was able to divert me to another facility that had trucks which was 5 minutes away 4. at the second site now to pick up my truck. The truck they gave me had a check engine light on. Had to go back and get them to give me second truck, this one did not have any alert lights on 5. the truck that I received had all of its shocks/struts blown. It was as if there were no spring suspension at all. Very rough ride.Dwayne C.

Look, it was an expensive rental as it was, with close to 200 miles of driving charged at 1.25/hour, but to charge me an extra $12 on top of that for 2 gallons of gas because the guahe read a hair over a quarter and I brought it back at a quarter is just rude. I certainly won't use this location again or recommend it to anyone else.Jarred M.

My Fri July 8 reservation wasn't there when I went to pick up. Customer service said they called to tell me it changed to a different location 10 miles away. My ride had already left so I had to wait for another. When I arrived the door was locked and I canceled. Luckily I was able to rent but for only 5 hrs. I missed time at work Fri for nothing leaving early, did not have help to move Saturday because they came to help Friday, missed another event scheduled for Saturday. You are asking the wrong questions!!! You should be asking about the overall experience. Which by the way was poor!!! U-Haul forces the Customer to do more - using your phone - and takes away the personal interactions needed to do business. U-Haul changed my pick-up and drop location without informing me. After calling them I got a new pick-up location. I got there and the truck was not there - why no one told me in advance makes no sense. I called U-Haul again and they wanted me to drive another two hours away to get a truck - really U-Haul!!! After much pushing they found me a truck. I got there and the truck was boxed in - not ready to go! The fuel was incorrect - I was told that it was changed and that I would receive a text on how to proceed to get it corrected. Again, why would the Customer have to take on that burden and not the U-Haul employee - really U-Haul!!! I was not told that they text would expire in twenty minutes and I was supposed to do this before leaving the U-Haul yard. Since U-Haul jacked me around forcing me to go another 30 minutes further from my home (more gas for me and a toll) I was in a hurry to get home to meet my moving team that was inbound!!! Bottom-Line when I went to the text later (after packing all day) the text had expired - really U-Haul (you should have done this for me like a rental car company would do). The overall experience of moving is stressful and U-Haul not sticking to the plan for pick-up and drop off only adds to the stress. It also added to my cost!!!! Also the fact that U-Haul is trying to do less work and put it on the Customer adds more stress. U-Haul has decided on their own that everyone has a smart phone - I asked the one counter person what would have happened if I did not have a smart phone and his answer was that I would not be renting a truck - really U-Haul! I have no real issues with the people that I worked with along the way - my issue is with U-Haul as a corporation. You really need to get back to working with people and get a clue about Customer Service.Timothy G.

This location fraudulently charges customers a Fuel Service Fee of $30.00 and a Very High Fuel Charge. My driver filled up the gas tank to exactly where it was before we rented the truck. I was charged almost $120.00 when we just put gas in at a nearby gas station. I would NEVER EVER USE UHAUL AGAIN. I found another company who is cheaper per day and has the same low rate on the weekends as during the week. They were terrific. Uhaul does NOTHING to help out when you call to complain.Philip D.

I spent a lot of time making calls to other moving services and ultimately lost money on my move before traffic or dispatch or someone in another facility finally got me a truck but not the size I ordered. Unfortunately there was a padlock on the truck when we returned home, in our driveway, ready to load. Had to go back & return to the pickup location to have the lock removed. Excellent service at pick up local despite the unfortunate event. I called my pick up location immediately to advise & review the problem- but was sent to the main number which was very frustrating. My local pick up location could've answered our questions about the padlock in 1 minute. Instead I'm waiting in a queue and finally being advised I need â€œroadside assistanceâ€ - not correct, had no time to wait for that. Like most folks renting a UHAUL we had furniture to load and a 6 hour drive ahead of usâ€¦..had to be somewhere! Local pickup location was excellent. Just needed to speak with that office for 30-60 seconds-confused why that can't happen.LYnda F.
The people I dealt with were great. But, I had to call uhaul to let them know the pictures and mileage of the vehicle before you go were wrong. That took over a half hour. Then I tried to extend the rental for another day. That took over an hour and a half and then when I talked to someone, they said I had to call in the morning. You are drastically understaffed by phone. If I treated my customers like that, I'd be out of business.Jim G.

Roadside assistance took so long and if you guys should have the truck jack and handles on the truck that way the renter if qualified could change the tire them selves. There was glass on the floor and seats. Apparently it was broken into and a window was replaced but the glass was not cleaned out entirely. I got to my destination to load up and found that the door to the trailer had a lock on it. I could not load my cargo. I called the rental location but only got transferred to the national option loop 3x. I finally got road service to get me a number to reach someone at the local store. I called that number and got the manager's voicemail (Kelly). Kelly never called me back and road service could not come out to cut the lock off. It took me 1.5 hours sitting in a parking lot and $25 until I was able to find someone to cut the lock off. I ordered a furniture dolly but there were none available. I was informed on arrival that just because I had a reservation it did not mean I had a reservation and no storage units were available. I encountered significant penalties having to find other storage units and U haul then hit me with fees for late drop off and over mileage. The facility was over run with mice & other rodents. I came in one night & something big & furry ran into a broken unit. All of my things were covered in mice droppings. My bags & boxes were eaten open by rodents. Dead mice were in the hallways as well as flies. This isn't the 1st time either.
