The check-in experience was terrible. Saturday morning at 8:30 am - arrive to find 6 people in line and one customer service representative. Computer system was not working properly. Vehicle I reserved 1 month in advance was not available so had to take larger vehicle which I did not want/need and which consumed more fuel. Whole process took 45 minutes. Poor experience.

My attendee was a gentleman who was courteous, quick and pleasant. The young man who took my truck when I returned it was very nice and told me that he would email my receipt and asked was everything okay. Had a pleasant conversation with him. I definitely would recommend and use this company again for myself.

I was accused of changing the odometer and gas tank level and then was informed that I had to pay for a full tank of gas. The system said that I had uploaded a picture of my trucks odometer and gas tank but when comparing my truck to the picture that was upload (not by me) it was NOT even the same truck. I felt like I was being scammed into paying for a full tank of gas when I picked up the truck at 1/4 tank. I will not be using uhaul again and will look into other moving services when I am ready.

App never updated to tell me locations were changed . I went to the place and it was closed. So i checked my spam folder which no other uhaul emails went to and it was a few hours before hand so i didnt know because i was driving. Then they didnt have the right information that we gave them and they wanted an extra $200 and recharged our cards multiple times. We waited over 2 hours at the store for them to sort it out. Then we went 10 miles over our limit because the place we had to get it from was 10 miles further so we got charged on top for that.

it took over hour to get my trailer after I did all of the requirements on line the night before. the poor girl, behind the desk, was swamped. you need more people. I requested that I pick up this trailer at my uhaul location in greenbank. but they said they do not do that anymore.i have always used uhaul for all of my moving needs I was a full time musician on the road for 30 plus years. you have some of my money. just wanted you to know. thank you. mark

I ad 2 boxes. One was at uhaul May 8. I received an email that I would be billed when it shipped and that is what happened. However the second pod was at uhaul on May 25, both pod orders were done online for this location. I received an email again and told this pod would be charged on June 9. It was charged instead on May 25. I received a call on May 25 from this location asking me for credit card. I told them I didn't need to as it was done online. When I found they charged me before it shipped I called uhaul on line. They were no help and this location would not make it right. As I budgeted for these pods to be billed in two different billing pay periods, uhaul has put me in a bad financial situation. They took no responsibility for the mistake. I will never use them again.

I had to wait 30 minutes for a reserved and online prechecked vehicle in an empty office as one employee was outside checking in vehicles and the other gentleman was on an extended break. I finally got the vehicle one hour after my reserved date. I returned the vehicle two hours early but was still charged 107 for a 4 hour cargo van rental. will not return to this location or uhaul

On line check in was great..fast & efficient. When I arrived at the location Ashley was super helpful and got me in & out quickly. When I returned the truck Brittany checked me out quickly & efficiently. Will definitely use this location again!! Thank you to the staff for making a stressful move day not too bad!!

No fault to the one person who was working, but there was only one person working on a Saturday. He was running through the lot to try to help people as quickly as possible. Literally jogging back after he would hook up a trailer. I used the pre check in to try to make it a quick pick up, but ended up waiting in line for 45 minutes. When it was finally my turn, the trailer I rented was stuck on a curb and wouldn't budge. Fortunately there was another trailer (much smaller), which was available and I decided to ask for. I returned the trailer 2 hours later, and the lot was still jam packed and busy. I spoke to a lady and unhitcged the trailer and showed her where it was. She told me she would check it in. Two days later, I recieved an invoice receipt that the trailer was not checked in until 9 am Monday morning despite dropping off at 330 on Satuday. The card was billed for this additional time. I called immediately, and a lady at the desk said that a manager would be contacting my in the afternoon to correct the charge. Not only did I not receive the refund, but I did not recieve at call as of the time I am leaving my comments here. I

To be blunt, this location is in the projects. It's sketchy and in probably the worst part of town that I know of. When I got there there was a line almost out the door and only one person working the counter. He was doing his best but he needed help and his computer was crashing. I had pre checked in and the app told me to skip the line. I was harassed by the people who I skipped in line and then I was told that they didn't have the key to the van. Eventually another worker came in and they found the key sitting on a chair behind the counter. The van was nice and it got the job done of helping me move my stuff for work. Overall pretty hectic and sketchy but the service worked. Workers were cool and did their best but seemed unorganized.

This is a very busy location, but the employees are very attentive to the customers. Even if you are waiting in line, they acknowledge that you are there and they will be with you in a few minutes. Everyone speaks to you, this is much different from many businesses, pleasant surprise. Daquan was very helpful and knowledgeable with trailer hook up's. He made sure I was good before went to the next customer. I would absolutely rent from this location again.

Pick up truck had no door handle on passenger side. The truck would randomly stop and sometimes just restart on its own . The tires were wobbly. Something was wrong with the overall ride of the vehicle. It shouldn’t have been rented out or checked before releasing to customer.

The first set of keys I was given , the mileage did not match the van. The agent quickly gave me a new cargo van which was brand new and awesome. I liked the fuel estimator on the rental sheet to help with refueling. Thank you.

The initial drop off location, Glacier Auto in Wilmington, was a bust. Between the GPS running me in circles trying to get to Glacier, street signs missing , this was a tough go, but definitely not U-Haul’s fault. What got under my skin, Glacier Auto would not answer their phone to assist me in getting to their location, and their message box was full as well. That indicated to me that “customer service” was not anywhere near a priority. In the meantime, my son got involved and found another way to access the Glacier location. He promptly drove to it, and FOUND IT CLOSED AT 4:30, AN HOUR AND A HALF BEFORE THE 6:00 P.M. POSTED CLOSING TIME! REALLY?!? I made a call to U-Haul , and spoke to a representative , as I understand it, in Phoenix, Arizona. I was sent to Sandchase Auto, there at least, even as they could not take the trailer, I had the distinct pleasure of getting to speak to a live, knowledgeable person who directed me several blocks down the same street, to U-Haul Moving and Storage. There, I was met by a wonderful young lady who took care of everything professionally and properly. I wish I could come up with her name, she’s an asset to your organization. My only real concern lies in your Glacier drop off point not being accessible by phone, and being closed when it was posted to be open. If it was just a matter of leaving it curbside, and calling in the location to be picked up without charge, I would not be concerned. But that would not be the case.

We have rented from U-Haul before and always had someone walk around the truck to point out any dents or problems. No one did. They just handed us the keys and told us where it was. The driver window was not even on the track. You could not roll the window down and it would not go up all the way.

No reason to have a headlight out if checks are done on units. Also lost well over an hour as your computer system was down and you don't have a back up plan readily available. This was after going to a local service station that had a small fleet of your rentals and speaking with gentleman there at 08:30 in morning telling him what I needed for a 16:30 pick up and he advised he wasn't an "authorized" agent yet, but it was going to happen during the day. He took my name and number and then didn't have enough business manners to call me and tell me he wasn't going to be able to do the rental. Not first time I've used U Haul but most likely the last. Extremely poor customer service

I am very upset about the truck's inside cabin having a gas leak somewhere near the gas tank. I even more upset and dissatisfied with my clothes and bedding items being ruined by that gas. Many of my clothing and bedding items soaked up the gas that came into the cabin. When I brought it back to the location where I got the truck, one of the attendants appeared to not have any understanding. He told me they were closing up and contact corporate. I said I would do that but I told him that I wanted him to document it after he did acknowledge there was a gas smell. He appeared not concerned. He also questioned me where was the gas. My clothes and bedding items soaked it up. I was appalled by his indifference and intolerance. I want my total cost returned to replace and clean my clothing and bedding. The truck was blocked in and not accessible. I had to tell the lady inside twice that one of the trucks had to be moved for me to get out. Then i left and decided to pull over and check to make sure the pads that i had preordered were there and of course they was not. So i had to drive all the way back to get the dozen pads which was a total inconvenience. I used the mobile svs to b convenient and the process was not.

First appointment not enough counter help on a Sat morning (4 deep line for about 30 mins) and all ordered parts were not available for install after waiting 1 hour to determine that fact. Forced to return the following Sat and installer told me he would start at 9 and didn’t show till 10am. Guys were working hard and I would suggest putting a manager there on Sat. Also parking is horrendous and storage lot a cluttered mess. Don’t use this location unless last resort.

This was the secondary location and the experience picking up the Tow dolly was fine. However, the experience I had prior was not. After making the reservation using the 800# thru Uhaul, i went to that location to find they did not have the tow dolly. This was not convenient for me at all. I was on a tight schedule and needed to get home for an appointment 2 1/2 hrs away. The person at this location called Uhaul to see what could be done. He was helpful and told me I would be receiving a text with new reservation. While he was telling me this, i received it. (Address, reservation, and phone # to call for help) while sitting at that location, Itried using my phone to locate how far this other location was. There was zero reception for internet at this location and tried calling the # in the text to confirm the dolly was there. I made 2 calls to that # totalling over 42 minutes of being on hold. Gave up and called the 800# that I originally called. They said I had to call yet another #, gave it to me and i called that #, told them my concern and they put me on hold, contacted the other location personally, and confirmed it was there. I did know this location was north so, as I was driving, it reconnected internet and found it the location. The whole time doing this, my phone went from 25% battery to 3%. Which is not technically Uhauls fault, but would not have happened otherwise. So I was several hours behind at this point and did not make it home to make my dog's vet appointment. Will I use uhaul again? Yes. But not without confirming availability 100% with the specific location prior to going. To help in further service, Uhaul should have called me not sent a text. This would have eliminated alot of unneeded stress and would have been more efficient.

Coordinating with movers and uhaul was confusing. I got a message on my phone the day before our move from uhaul with the incorrect time for loading. I was unsure if I should coordinate with moving help or uhaul. The boxes were not ready on time, and one of the boxes did not have a working latch to lock, so I had to arrange a trip to uhaul facility to pick up the key afterwards.

I was quoted a price and when I return the vehicle I was charged the difference and mileage and was told days that my transaction was completed. Now days later after a completed transaction my card information was received and is being charged without my expressed approval for reasons unknown or an unexplained to me and I fear that I will see another charged next week and going on as long as mine information is kept

My only complaint was gas mileage was terrible. Only went 24 miles and put in 18 dollars to top off tank back to full. This was a 20ft truck, but that's about a mile and half per gallon. That said, your workers were wonderful. Truck was very clean and worked well.

I signed up on line for a 1:00 appointment to have a hitch installed. Chose the “While I Wait” option. When arriving on time I am told installer doesn’t arrive until 2:00. No waiting room, no chairs. Sat on a brick wall. Workers were pleasant. Installation went well. Not happy about the appointment issue.

When I got the truck to my house to start packing there were 2 piles of human feces in the back. I called the store but was forwarded to customer service and they told me not to do anything until the location called me. 2 hours later with no response I drove to the location in my car since customer service told me not to do anything. I then was told to bring the truck there and they would swap it out and that I would get the service for free. When I returned the new truck they still made me pay full price and told me that I misunderstood them, that they meant they weren’t going to charge me for the new truck. Of course I wasn’t going to pay for the first truck! I received nothing for all the inconvenience, standing around, and money lost paying 3 movers hourly to do nothing for 3 hours then only having 1 mover since the other 2 had to leave.

Truck in terrible condition - door seal falling off, no wiper fluid, bad engine sounds, check engine light on and only 1/4 tank of gas. For a lot with 50+ trucks, how did I end up with the one with over 100k miles and on its last leg?

Everything went so smoothly. I had made my reservation and came in the store to pick the u-haul up with no problem what so ever. Your employees there are wonderful, friendly, and mannerly. This is my second time I had ever rented a truck there and each time I received the same respect from the employees there. They are lovely employees that work for your company there. I picked up the truck before store hours, however, the appliance dolly I reserved was not included. Since the store was not open, I had no other option but to move without the dolly, making my move significantly more difficult. The site and the corporate office did not seem to have any empathy for the situation they caused me. I would have expected some other credit than the original $10 reservation fee for the dolly considering how extremely inconvenient is was to move without such a useful tool. Also, my girlfriend, who was my ride home after dropping off the truck waiting for me to finish my return paperwork, was approached by multiple drug dealers, asked if "she was good", and then had her car surrounded by 4 people just behind the site. Not a safe location. The site is also operating without a business license. Appalling for such a large company.

I made an appointment and showed up at 11am and wanted to rent a trailer. I had to purchase a hitch, pin, ball and an electrical wiring harness. The problem I had is that I had to leave and return at 3:30 because that was when the person who does the installation of the wiring was scheduled. Plus the person doing the install wasn't careful, he left several access panels laying loose in my back cargo area which I now have to re-install/attach myself.

We had to move out our own 29 inch truck. Was very late getting to our destination...which interfered with available help. Unhappy customer!!!

The guys that staff this location are fantastic, but the location is downright dangerous. There is ZERO room to pull in and park, there are five-times the amount of vehicles and storage units that the area can hold. There are drug deals transacting within 50 feet of the property, and the whole operation is not run or supported properly. I really like the employees as they do the bed they can to help, but the wait time, the inefficiencies, the lack of safe parking on a busy road - if there are better options I will pursuer those next time. Also I was charged for a furniture dolly that I asked for but it was not in the truck I received, which made my move harder.

Sit was hard to get truck on lot.worker took key and siad i was good to go.i made sure truck had proper gas put 2o.oo in went 16 mi and when got recite was billed 24.oo for gas.

Service was slow. Van was not available at pickup time. Waiting for him to clean it would have eaten into my 4 hour time I reserved it for. Worst service. And now I’m getting charged for them to clean a van that was dirty when given to us.

The customer service was horrible they were rude they were curved they were impatient and just generally unhelpful my storage unit which I was there to empty was flooded with water my property is severely damaged I was promised a new door several months ago that new door never came and as a result there was severe damage to my belongings to which the customer service representatives and the store management did absolutely nothing to help me with we have problems opening the storage door but it was damaged so much so and they made absolutely no attempt at all to help us open that door or to help us even come up with a solution to be able to retrieve my property from the storage unit overall the customer service was terrible I would recommend this location to no one and I have every intention on filing at the plate filing an insurance claim to replace my Lost Property which includes couches bedding and boxed merchandise till this day I still haven't received a phone call or any attempt to apologize or offer any compensation but furthermore the most important thing besides the loss of my property is just the piss poor customer service there supposed to be two locks on your storage unit one provided by you and one provided by U-Haul U-Haul didn't even have a lock on my storage unit when I question them about it they were like oh well you're good I mean you can still get in there right when I said hey is there anything you do guys can do to help me get this door open they were like nah it's just messed up like I mean when it's like that there ain't nothing we can do when I said but what about the new door that was ordered several months ago oh well I guess it just never came in these are the responses that I got so I have every intention to contact the Better Business Bureau and whomever else I need to speak to to make sure that people know do not use this company at this location I am thoroughly disappointed saddened and disgusted thank you

First...don’t make someone wait 50 minutes to pick up a vehicle. Don’t say a tank is 100% full but I have to put OVER 5 gallons of gas in and I only drove 17 miles at that point. Thieves and liars. I attempted to address the situation as I had taken pictures and the guy grabbed my cell phone and started to take it into another room. WHY? How d I know what he’s going to do with my phone? Erase my pictures? Drop it and ruin it and say it was like that? Your staff should NEVER take away someone’s phone...NEVER and especially not to take it to another room out of their sight. I have a big move coming up I WILL NOT use U-Haul. I need to know that if I reserve a vehicle I’m not waiting in line for 50 minutes to get it I do t have hundreds of dollars to waste in paying movers because U-Haul takes 50 minutes to get a vehicle. I was in line at least 20 minutes when I decided to book my cargo van online. I though that would make the process faster...it did not. Never again. I will go someonere else. I have always shared how horrible I was treated today

today, I dropped off a 26ft rental, and was told this was not a drop off location. They wanted me to drive the truck to another location in Wilmington. I saw 4 other 26ft trucks parked there. 8 days ago--I picked up a 10ft truck at this location, one way to MA. The interior windows were filthy, failed customer service. SAD..

The complete process from beginning to end was seamless. I did not have a reservation but was still able to rent a truck in less than 15 minutes. The agent that assisted me (butter) was very knowledgeable and friendly. He even followed me in the truck to find parking for my personal vehicle until I returned.

First I want to give Steven Bradly at the Wilmington location, a big thank you for helping me out. He was knowledgeable and helpful. As for the location it was crowded with equipment, and rentals, which is a good thing you can find anything and everything you may need for a move. A little hard to maneuver on my own in spots, but the staff was helpful getting me on my way. Thanks again, for an uneventful day, which is a good thing considering all things that could go wrong. I ended up cancelling the unit rental, but the staff was very professional on the telephone. They helped me locate the drop off spot for the truck I rented that was not printed on the receipt.

Poor communication about my UBox. No one contacted me, and when I called, I was transferred 5 times. The box just showed up without a call first. Pick-up scheduled Sun happened Thurs. I called 3 times

Order # 21072822. Charged an extra $181.44 for no reason. I already paid $1316 for two Uboxes. The Wilmington store charged me extra 1 month storage and it took them 15 days to get my UBoxes.
