Truck wasn't in that great condition was making weird noises & wasn't comfortable at all. Truck was parked way at back & was super close to other truck it was tough to get it out. I expect the facility should bring the truck atleast in front when it's an advance booking. I already booked blankets but I still had to take it myself from facility to truck. I would suggest indurance coverage be explained verbally more thoughoughly also for seniors and others with snciety issues perhaps yhe online process could be better in that 1-800 to wherever in the world snd phone loops causes very plus plus panic i know you had a sign re declaring disability to determine help level but people with some disabilities dont even know thry have themSharon H.

I have rented trailers and vehicles from this location on several occasions over the past number of years. Each time I have attended, regardless of the time of day, there is ALWAYS a wait due the store being severely understaffed. On August 29th, I rented a motorcycle trailer and attended the store at 7:20 AM. The lone male CSR came out from the rear of the store and said: "It's gonna be a bit...I'll be with you soon." Approximately 15-20 minutes later, he emerged and processed me. I purposely went on-line to my account the night before to "Check-in" and provide photos of my driver's license and information as requested as it stated this would "expedite" the check-in process at the store. There is no "expediting" the current U-Haul practices / process as I provided exactly the same information to the clerk in person as I did the evening before on-line. I was eventually on my way within approximately 40 minutes (please note that I was alone in the store initially until other customers attended) This process is not at all efficient. I returned the trailer later that evening at 5:30 PM and again found one CSR who was attempting to settle a dispute with a customer over the monthly rate he was quoted but was charged far more according to the customer. This process took no less than 15-20 minutes and I was only there to drop off the trailer. the irony is that my attention was drawn to a large sign prominently displayed which states: "Aggressive and Abusive behaviour or comments against our staff and customers will not be tolerated and will result in immediate cancellation in any and all reservations and or appointments. Thank you for being considerate". The customer service model currently being used by U-Haul requires immediate overhaul. The unnecessary continuous waiting times and callous manner in which customers are treated and made to wait are completely unacceptable. You cannot expect people to wait consistently and not become frustrated. The posting of the previously mentioned signage does not permit U-Haul management or employees to make such an easy rental process difficult, time consuming and inconvenient. While there are now limited companies who rent vehicles and trailers, customer service should actually become the U-Haul priority and not permission to delay people because of inadequate staffing. First truck I picked up had service engine light on, so I went back and exchanged it for a different truck. The second truck had a broken windshield and the air conditioning did not work.Brad H.
Your open trailer is a bad design, the gate on the back has a grate , which is fine but when you have rock in the bed, the rock gets jammed between the grate and the solid metal piece you have welded to the back of it.. no place for the loose rock to come out. Could not totally clean it out because of this. They didn't seem to change me a cleaning fee, so all good but that was a pain.Timothy H.

The customer service was not realistic at all. I was charged $23 for gas on top of I had already put $5 gas as I drove the vehicle for 9 miles only!! My mistake is that I didn't take a photo of the gas gauge as I was given a vehicle with a half tank on paper although the gauge was just below half, then I was accused of not returning the vehicle with half tank although I returned it with the gauge just below half!!!!! I was treated like a liar, then when I heard about the charge and offered to take the vehicle and put more gas the Lady said that she already processed the charge without telling me and cannot do anything about it. It was humiliating and frustrating at the same time and the lady said that if I want to file a formal complaint then to go ahead and do that!!!!!!! Never dealing with them again.riadh S.

The only thing I would suggest that the 5'x9' open trailers and the larger ones carry a spare tire in case one of the tires has a low out on the highway or just a flat . This would prevent long hours of waiting for someone to come out from uhaul and fix it. I would also suggest to get rid of the call center and have people call directly to the specific store they want to rent from . I rent a lot of trailers and the one time I was forwarded to a call center and the women â€œAndreaâ€ wasted a lot of my time and almost didn't get a trailer due the store hours. Terrible experience!! Although there were no working trailer lights the staff worked hard at rectifying the situation. The customer service went above and beyond what some other companies would do to satisfy an inconvenienced customer. The you lady who works here, amazing. She's nit afraid to get her hands dirty or get under the vehicle to troubleshoot. I even commented to her that now I see why she has so much bruising on her legs.EVE S.

The trailer was dirty and just before our destination got a flat tire. The whole dam day ruined because road side assistance sucks. 7hours to fix the dam tire! 😡maybe you should have spare tires on the trailer. Could've avoided the waiting game.Rhonda M.

The parking lot is ridiculously small and overpacked with trucks and trailers. There is no reason that some of this equipment can't be distributed to other locations that aren't well equipped. Too many customers are forced to pickup at this location yet it is understaffed to handle the traffic.Faith N.

I'm not really sure. We were so pleased with Uhaul the last tiime we used them, that we immediately chose them for our moving and storage this time. Oh, the truck we had last time had a dolly in it. I had a terrible experience renting a cargo van to move from Windsor, ON to Ottawa, ON. 1.5hrs in the vans AC malfunctioned, I sat and waited for call backs from customer service and then road side assistance. No one would even come out to check the vehicle. I was instructed to return the vehicle to Windsor in order to exchange for another one. I was incredibly frustrated we were not able to perform the exchange at a uhaul nearby. We had to drive another 1.5hrs back to Windsor for the exchange????!!! Upon arrival to Windsor the store manager made promises to me re reimbursement for time, moving furniture, fuel etc...Get promises in writing!! She went on vacation without informing assistant manager Kyle Desbien about the details regarding my rental. The only reason why I am taking the time to write this review is to say that Kyle Desbien at the Dougall rd location is the saving grace for a company that claims to provide an excellent service. I was told to pick up on Walker Rd today by the booking phone agent which was incorrect as they did not have trailers. Dougal Ave has all the trailers though, in their tiny parking lot with weird angles. You cannot move anywhere through that parking lot without having to squeeze between other vehicles. By squeeze I mean there is 2-3â€ of clearance for another vehicle, inexperienced drivers should very much avoid this location. Today was also the first time ever I had to return equipment to the same uhaul location I rented it from. There was wood debris and small screws in the trailer. Not the best thing to be throwing over the roadway in our own city. I removed the screws I saw but I didn't end up using the trailer today, so I did not sweep the wood pieces. Customers should be able to inspect the equipment before they're asked to pay. It would also be nice to see equipment spread out across locations to prevent a drive into the city core for a trailer.ALEXANDRU B.

There is no professionalism at this location. The Truck was not provided at 3 times and $50 was given to me. I got the truck in 4th attempt. The drop location was provided by the manager very far from my house while there were 10 Uhaul locations around my house in Hamilton. It was almost the downtown location and I faced a very tough time. I had to put extra gas and efforts. It was really horrible experience dealing with the executing who gave me thr drop off location. I called multiple times and they say that they will call me but I didn't get a call back. I lost almost $2000 because of this Uhaul location.Ombir S.

I had mouse droppings in boxes that had been chewed open. Two monthly payments were taken out after I moved out in good standing and even rented the equipment from you to move out. It took 4 phone calls for me to resolve this matter and have the monies put back on my card along with numerous hours of cleaning everything after discovering the mouse droppings..
