I have rented from uhaul multiple times and I never met someone so un sito helpâ€¦ she turned me Down not even checking when I needed to rent a truck.. couldn't even check if there was anything available at other locations, even tho there were trucks available at her locations.. I know this because after being told by front desk employee they didn't have anything available, I was able to go online and get something from the same locations.. in previous time I went to a place and they located something for Me else whereâ€¦ she just told Me to call customer service.. if I went in looking for a truck, it's because I wanted to talk to a person.. I mean that's the reason they have a front desk person right? Even after I had made a reservation, I was told by the same person she was surprised I was able to reserve somethingâ€¦ but how could she know, if she didn't even ask me when I wanted to rent the truck? When I arrived to pick up the rental, I had to wait in line even though there were 4 employees present and one other customer. Later, they were extremely confused that I had a license that was expired accompanied by an extension card from my home state. The card clearly explains what it is and that my license is valid and displays a new expiration date. We made it through this, albeit painfully. One hour before my rental was to be turned in I called to ask if I could extend the rental for two hours as the weather had significantly delayed my move. The lady I spoke with said she couldn't because there was a person waiting on the vehicle after me, but I could have the vehicle for one hour without additional charges. I was truly grateful and appreciative for the gesture and I brought the vehicle back within the timeframe she had stated. When I arrive to return the vehicle I parked in the designated spot and had to ask the employee waiting there what he wanted me to do to turn it in.would he like the keys, should I leave them in the truck, do we need to do a joint inspection etc. Finally, I asked him if I need yo go inside to finish the checkout and he said that he wasn't sure,. He explicitly he was a new hire and he didn't know where the other employees were that were supposed to be out there with him. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because it's not his fault that somebody didn't train him well enough. After I finish with him and go inside i once again am the sole person standing in line with planet of employees just standing around chatting with each other. After the vehicle was turned in, I received an email about 30 minutes later with my receipt (which I didn't receive at the location because their printer was down. Upon reviewing the receipt I noticed that the mileage reflected was one mile off what I actually received it at. And last but not least, I was charged for two rental periods, even though the lady I spoke with previously said that I wouldn't be charged for an extra day. Had I known This, I would have just returned the vehicle by the time listed on my reservation. This entire process was disappointing from beginning to end. I likely will not return to this location or recommend it to anyone.Branden J.
My rental was less than 24 hours, also the vehicle should not be on the road! The power steering is no good, the suspension is absolutely no good, the ride was rough. Alignment was horrible! I was advised at the location on old Austin highway to go to 6745 fm 78 because they didn't have the at7500 car hauler. The location on Austin highway advised me it would cost 35.99. Pick up from Vancouver and delivery was great in San Antonio. Picking up the boxes to bring back to your location was not. Whoever operated the forklift scratched the hell out of the driveway on the left and right side. Really upsetting. I don't understand why the pickup caused damage to the driveway. There was nothing in the boxes so there shouldn't have been a problem moving them. There were also no cars blocking their entry on either side. I can provide pictures if you want to see the damage. The trucks were a bit outdated. Upgrades make trips easier. These old ass trucks are old (obviously) and boring. Standard as hell radio, roll down windows, all pleather seats, no cruise control, etc,. All in all, move went as planned, thanks U-Haul.John G.

Since the first day I moved in my key card and code has not worked. There was a man that used to be the 24 hour manager you could call for help and he would usually give me a code. I went 2 nights ago to my unit at 9pm and of course my code and card wouldn't work. I called the number for the 24 hour manager who is now Melanie Rattie and she wouldn't answer the first two calls. When she finally answered she sounded asleep and she was very rude. She said she couldn't do anything and it was my fault something was wrong with my account. Well i asked one employee to rent a pickup truck and she flat out said we dont have any. I parked right next to one and she didn't even check so i went online to the website same location to where i can get a reservation for one literally 5mins from then so i went back inside talked to some guy showed him and told him"if i need to make a reservation lmk " but he was more helpful than the lady so i got the truck . On pickup day, at 9am, there was only 1 employee capable of working the rental desk, and 5 customers in line. The customers at the desk had no reservation, and wee using their time atvthe desk to go through the options for renting a truck. Meanwhile, the other customers in line, including myself, had reservations, l was the 1st customer after those at the desk, and still had about a 15min wait. Not a good way to start my experience. Customer Service Sucks. One young lady didn't want to except my license and credit card out my hand. Pointed to the counter in reference for me to put it on the counter and she perused to pick them up off the counter. When picking up we waited about a good 8 minutes before anyone greeted up. Building access is supposed to be until 10 pm. When you enter your code into the keypad it says access denied. We had to leave someone in the building for over an hour so that we could get in and out. Upon speaking to other tenants they say they are never able to get back in after office hours despite it being posted that self serve customers have until 10pm daily. It took a long time to get the issue settled and I didn't receive another confirmation or rental agreement. Staff was aware of what was available to offer and if they came across uncertainty they used their reports to provide accurate information. when I parked my travel trailer and I had a concern I went to the office to explain and the staff member could have left out the quick to jump "well there's no other spot" before I was able to finish my suggestion if they could reach out to the other renter to generously move over then that's when the associate said ok we'll contact them.
