Notification that my requested pick-up time was changed and then that the truck was late would've been nice. The tow dolly had a light that did not work properly. I do really appreciate the rep who was leaving for helping me out. The truck arrived late and so the facility was closed by the time I made it there. Houston was amazing. The back of the truck had a HORRIBLE kerosene smell. Not I only was I on a wild goose chase after my reservation was for a pickup in millbrook. I drove 2 1/2 hours to pick up and when I arrive Uhaul location was CLOSED. I received call from uhaul and she got me a truck in Montgomery which was another 25 minute drive and after waiting in line because that location was extremely busy I was over hour behind of schedule. Houston made my day better and was very professional and kind. I am disappointed in the reservation I had made and I was GIVEN 50 miles more to accommodate for the extra drive to Montgomery. I should have received a discount. I am a loyal customer but this was ridiculous. I will pursue an alternative next time.Jeri M.

My experience with this location was Great. The employees were exceptionally nice. Awesome Staff. The location on the east south blvd need to be trained for better customer services. I spoke with an individual name Joe on the phone. The way he answered my questions as if I was bothering him. He was very dry, not concerned at all. Checked in at the lane a day before my rental was due to be returned and will never do so again! I was told he was checking me in right then and there, as they're supposed to, and I'd be receiving a refund for the additional day I didn't use, but apparently he didn't check me in until AFTER my return was due back (most likely when the next person arrived to rent it). Instead of receiving a refund for the early return, I ended up with additional charges and now have to wait 48 hours for a â€œreviewâ€ of the disputed charges!Angela S.

I noted that on the pre-check form but was still charged a cleaning fee upon returning the truck. It was not this location but U-Haul's online system. I loved my stay besides the fact that I had two locks on my unit when I left in March and when I came back in August I only had one left. When I asked the cashier about it he said “well that is a first”. He was practically no help at all. I changed to a different storage facility. What would have made a difference when I moved out was for someone to say Thank you for being a valued customer for SEVERAL years and paying on time of not in advanced. I was late once but just a day. There seemed to be no appreciation for the customers. Those things go a long way. If you are going to have an “express” line, it’s a good idea to utilize it so customers wanting to pay their bill don’t have to stand in line behind all the rentals. The lady that cleans the facility is a true gem! She is the sweetest person and goes out of her way to show kindness to others. She does an exceptional job!!!!!!! Can’t say enough about her. I rented a 5x5 unit on a Sunday. The site said there was one spot left and let me reserve it. I showed up on Monday afternoon with a truckload of materials from my classroom and was given a unit. We unloaded the entire truck and went to find our the unit. When we found it, there was already a lock on it. I went back to the office and told the gentleman. He walked to the unit with me and then said he'd have to call his manager. We walked back to the office where he called his manager. Apparently, the unit had been rented and there was nothing left in the size I needed. I was told I could rent the next size unit for $20 more a month. Given the inconvenience we'd experienced I think I should have been given that unit for the price of the smaller unit. I was told that I would have to talk to the general manager, but he wasn't until the next day. We had to load everything back into the truck with nowhere to take it. This was completely unacceptable. I now have no place to store my classroom items for the summer. I tried to return the lock I was made to purchase and the gentleman didn't know how to do it. We had also tried to have a propane tank filled and the man working wasn't certified to fill it. We have had our 41ft. fifth wheel with the on the eastern blvd. with u-haul for 4 years. We and everyone else in the covered storage had a break-in. They called and took care of the repairs. That was a 1 to 1 1/2 years ago and everything was ok. There was a second break-in in a few units but the people were not notified. We had to call the owners of the motorhome next to us and they didn't know about it. We sold our RV Satuday and went into the office to let them know. We have never been late on any rent. We usually pay one year in advance. The young man that waited on us came in and out the front door twice and never said a word to us. It was not very busy when we went in so we waited our turn. When we got to the counter we told the young man there that we had sold our RV but we were going to purchase another. Knowing that the covered storage was less than half full. I asked him it he could reserve our spot ( it took us 2 years to get slag put over the mud in that space) His response was NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. I would think that a company that had loyal paying customers would be a little more courteous. I could have understood if they had more RV's but this was just rude. People need to be trained in how to talk to customers. This man needs an attitude adjustment or just fired. I don't usually respond like this but I was just shocked at his response. I'm not man . I had the worst experience ever!! When I arrived the guy at the desk didn’t even greet me as I walked up. He had his Chick-fil-A on the counter eating. And still proceeded to eat throughout my whole purchase, it was so unprofessional and just rude. Then when I asked him about any specials on the storage he asked me if I could buy him some wings and he will see if they have any specials. Super unprofessional I was so stunned. After moving that evening, I arrived to my storage unit, and to my surprise they forgot to take the lock off of our unit. So we had to find a friend to keep our furniture safe until the next day.
