I got charged 1 full day when I returned my rental within the 24 hr time period. Then called customer service and spoke with Dawn Mckelvain who could only give me a partial refund when I got over charged. I should only have to pay for the extra miles over my original contract. I shouldn't have to pay for more taxes when I didn't use the rental for another day. This place is a scam to get the customers to pay extra when they shouldn't have to. I will not do business or refer anyone to this place again.

Andreza T.The rental truck we were given was NOT road worthy! It was probably criminal negligence to rent out this truck in its current condition. The brakes were completely shot, and the headlights barely illuminated anything. It took us a total of 4 days to drive a trip that should have taken 13 hours each way because we had to stay in hotels at night because it was not safe to drive at night with such poor headlights, and because we had to drive well below the highway speed limit due to the brakes being so unreliable. So we had to spend $300 on lodging en route that we weren't planning on. On the trip back, the truck went over a small bump in the road and a bunch of warning indicator lights went on, forcing us to call for roadside assistance. The guy who came to service the truck confirmed what we suspected: while he didn't write it in his report, he told us privately that this truck shouldn't have even been on the road in its current condition, and that it needed to have its brakes checked before being rented out to anyone else. All the adults in our party suffered from severe anxiety and poor sleep over the course of the move (not to mention sprained wrists and other body aches for the two drivers, from white-knuckling this truck for almost 20 hours apiece.) Then they had the nerve to charge me way more in late fees than what they originally quoted me, even though the reason we were late was because of all the mechanical issues with the truck! I am seriously considering legal action. I would never rent from this location again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

I had to come back to UHaul several times due to changes with my moving labor, and every time the staff were friendly. They were also efficient, which is important, of course. But the friendliness helps when customers are stressed by the uncertainties of doing moves, which hopefully do not happen every day. There is probably less damage to your equipment partly due to your staff that makes the experience more pleasant and reduces overall stress. Thank you

joseph S.This is the second time in a year I've rented from this particular location. The staff are friendly and pleasant to speak with, but the vehicles are horrendous. This time the back of the truck was covered with dirt, wood,dried beans, and rice. There was also a glove. This shows that the truck was not cleaned by the previous renter, or any of the staff upon its return. I had to clean the truck twice because of this. Also the truck needs maintenance as the ride was very uncomfortable due to worn suspension and an engine in desperate need of tuning. There also needs to be another place to enter when returning the trucks as trying to maneuver a big truck to be able to go in the correct direction for the one entrance is not always easy

I am disabled and walk with a cane, and I had to rely on my husband to reserve a large unit for our temporary storage purposes. When we visited this week to close out the unit, we were refused an inspection of the unit and a receipt for the closeout even though the home said we could have these, and even though we were paid up. There were no other customers in the store or on site when we were there, and there were two employees on the clock and available who were not busy - one was simply organizing a stack of boxes. But both refused - repeatedly - to walk across the street to our unit with us to inspect the unit so that we could remove our lock without worry of unauthorized use. We also were refused a receipt for closeout, and told we had to return in 4 hours when the storage facility clerk would be in. This site was great on customer service for years, but this year, the service under new management has been extremely poor. I have observed that customers who complain or speak up at the site are yelled at and refused service by the clerks. There is no excuse.
