Customer Service was a joke, no Covid restrictions, sanitation, or masks in the stores by employees or other guests. When I booked online it gave one time frame and price and when I got to pick up, the time to return was changed and the amount I had to pay changed. Neither one lined up correctly.JOHN V.

Needed a storage unit for a couple of months at the most but everywhere I checked out was only offering 6-12 month leases for storage units. Ended up checking out uhaul’s storage rates and settled on the perfect sized unit. Not only did they offer a monthly rental basis, but they had a lot of different sized units to choose from, unlike other places where you get 2 or 3 sizes maximum. Was also able to get the option for climate control, which was great. The entire process was online, from reserving the unit, to checking in and bypassing the line at the desk with a lock waiting for me inside the unit when I arrived. 10/10-would highly recommendWilliam N. | Online Move In
I was over charger $39.99 because I had previously made a reservation from 7am-3pm and Call the location ask them if I could have 2 more hours they said no. So, I decided to call 800 number uhaul spoke with some polite agents I spoke to three today all professional agents. Who verify to me and extend my reservation 3-6pm. But, the check out agent on Parkdale San Antonio Texas 78299 lied to us about the additional charge of $39.99 her response was I need to charger you because we lost a customer wow but customer service was understanding and fix the problem. They gave me a upper locker when they were lower lockers easily accessible and vacant. I dropped a box in 10 minutes later when I noticed I asked if they can get it for me because everything requires a card swipe and they claimed there was no box but they were look at the cameras to see if it was an employee who picked it up or another customer. I never got my $3,000 engagement ring bag or heard about it again. At one point when I couldn't find my storage key I attempted to open it with bolt cutters and no one stopped me or asked me for verification that it was my unit. All the card swipes and cameras are nothing more but an illusion of security because they don't even review the cameras to see if someone's breaking in or to locate and drop the package breaking it in or to locate a dropped package. I never thought so much to go wrong on a simple storage unit but everything that could have went wrong went wrong with this U-Haul storage and I will not be returning.ALEXANDER E. | Overall Experience
First place I was told to go didn't have a truck for me. Got a new location to pick up the truck. Had to walk there because I was dropped off by an Uber at the first location. Got to the new location and was trying to tell the clerk what had happened and got a response â€œnot my problem, take it up with uhaul.â€ I was taken back a little by this because I thought I was dealing with uhaul. This was the best UHaul experience a I've ever had. The representative was very friendly and had everything ready when I arrived. Very clean van, low mileage and drove like a new vehicle. I was expecting a lot of time to fill out forms. But since I used the online registration/reservation service, I was in and out in five minutes. Same on return. No waiting. Perfect transaction. She even explained how to rent the same equipment for a two-day move and save money. Great to know! This will be my UHaul dealer from now on.Mary S.

Not sufficient parking space. I opted for mobile pick up of my uhaul but the process was very time consuming and too many things to do. I assumed the mobile pick up would take max 5 min or so but I was literally there on my phone for like 40 minutes to get my uhaul. Next time I much rather do the process in person.Blake M.

Disappointed to hear that this location did not check in the truck which we returned on 1/23/21. So, we received e-mail and text message that they were looking for us and the truck. Also, getting charged extra $12.25 for extra mileage when we drove truck for Laredo Tx to San Antonio, Tx. Mileage allowed 182 and 160 miles from Laredo to S.A.Ricardo S.

Although the customer service lady who helped me at this location (forgot her name ) was very polite and friendly! The manager could use some training. I had a $50.00 gift certificate that was to be applied to my balance and the lady helping me at the window didn't know how to do it. She knocked on the managers door twice and then had to call her on her phone -only to be told that SHE had to call customer service to attach the gift certificate. I thought it was rude that she never opened the door or came out to assist. The lady helping me said she would put it on "hold" and call me back that same day-Sunday -before they closed to update me. I had the most surprising and rude customer service experience ever. Rented truck in Minneapolis and dropped it of at this location, while returning I had gas more than what I filled up while pick up I showed the pictures I took but he representative said it does not matter cause I should have informed that while I picked up at Minneapolis. She agreed I'm being fooled but there is nothing they can do about it but charge the amount. In my contract it said quarter less and so I filled it up more than it was, guess what who knows there is a NO sign between the fill tank and first quarter mark. I dont mind paying the price usually but its very bad when representative are so rude and they make you feel being fooled.Rahul P.

But the vehicle was not available as indicated to be picked up remotely. Dollies that I had requested we're not in the vehicle,. I had to call and get them credited after the fact. This facility was far from a good experience. I sadly was pulled from dorms and accepted the assistance U-Haul offered until I got back on my feet. I trust was unimpressed. I had no access to my stuff after 9am and considering everything I own was in there and I realized I could itemize certain things when I was off of work well past 9pm. Then as the experience came to an end I was moving and noticed there were ants all over my belongings. Being I am deathly allergic I had to call my sister and sister in law to move all my stuff for me. When I told the ladies at the desk they cane down to observe it was true. The first offered us to leave all objects we already had in the truck and have them bombed and pick them up the next morning but then the other woman immediately claimed “they’re just sugar ants they’ll be fine” as if she was bothered by us bringing to their attention something that could kill me. I ended up paying 115 a month for an experience that was by far the worst as well as to be disrespected by the staff for my concern with the items in my unit being infested with ants. Item stolen Manager Gracelda was rude and very unprofessional. I moved out of the facility. Payment was due, the young man behind the counter Marco, said I owed $500. Plus. I owed for two weeks. The managet stated that I needed to fo to my bank and get a paper statement to prove that I had paid for the unit. A paper statement? I was told that "I" needed to contact the cotpotlrate office. So I xid. Spoke to coroporate office , i owex $254.00 Corporate stated that They see exactly what I see on the computer. Incluxing payment history. This manager is less then , well lets just say I would not jave Gracelda work for me. Eventually the young man contacted it,department. Found out their system automatically ads a month until you click on payment, then the teue balance shows. The manager Gracelda should have known this. To say the least I was pist! I have spent over $2000.00 in fees to this company. U haul owes me money. They do not Repeat do not pro rate the fees.
