So many tech issues at arrival. It seems that U-Haul software‘s are not very intuitive. The lady at the counter was trying her best to help me, but the system was not picking up on my order then it kept prompting her over and over again to enter my information in. The tech issues caused a delay of 30 minutes which normally wouldn’t have been an issue, but I had my movers who are paid hourly. The hours of operation for the office staff are very unusual at this location. Even upon arrival, the door was locked during office hours, and I had to knock just to be let in. This location also does not answer their phones as I called for days after my reservation, kept speaking a customer service who also wasn’t able to reach this location over the phone. If it wasn’t for the lady at the counter who still managed to be sweet through the whole experience, I would give this location a one star. There’s really no point in making an online reservation to save time, if when you arrive your prompted for all the same questions all over again. I would say go about an hour in advance. And also did not have your movers with you as it is not a simple process.

She could tell I needed a little more clarity with instructions and was so helpful. The facility itself was inviting, clean, well lit and my building was air conditioned. I never felt uneasy or apprehensive to visit my unit at any given time of the day. Having the extra space during my major move was so helpful and I was able to focus on the important things and not worry about my stuff. I highly recommend UHaul storage facility on IH10 at Wurzbach to anyone looking for extra space for an affordable price and peace of mind.

LAKITA G | First ImpressionsI would rate my experience as average before November 22, during which I would have described it as excellent or great because I was a repeat customer. However, when I rented a moving truck—knowing that rentals are typically for 24 hours—I was told by the staff that extending the rental beyond 6 hours would incur extra charges. The woman I spoke to repeatedly lied, claiming this to try and get more money from me. Frustrated, I looked up the terms online, called to file a complaint, and on the same day, I moved out of the storage unit at Uhaul. I found a similar storage unit—a 10 by 30 feet drive-up with lights, non-climate-controlled—for $200 less per month. With U-Haul, I was paying $319 monthly, but I now pay only $122 for the same-sized storage unit at Public storage. I feel that the company is dishonest and untrustworthy, trying to extract more money from loyal customers. It feels like robbery. As a result, I am no longer a customer.
