The lady who I saw when I picked up the u-haul gave me no info what so ever. She had me sign a paper and handed me the keys. She gave me the it would cost .69Â¢ per mile and when I returned it, I was charged $1.19 per mile. She also never mentioned anything about filling it up with gas, she just told me to return it before 10:30am. So when I returned it I was charged $4.00 per gallon for gas. I was really confused when I returned it as I was given no info the night before and when I explained this to the lady working in the morning (she was great btw), she knew the lady I was taking about, and apparently she never gives anyone correct information. Because of this I was charged $50 over my estimated price. No only that, but the truck was disgusting, the passenger door handle was broken, there was trash in the truck, it smelled like cigarettes, and the drivers sun shield was broken and laying on the floor. I have rented multiple uhauls in my life and this was by far the worst experience I've had.LAURA W.

There should have been a better selection of u-haul trailers. The one we received had intermittent brake lights and neither the directional worked. Voice saying it was unsafe to drive many cars dangerously cut us off were lucky with the. have an accident.Jill F.

I would recommend that the online scheduling have a 1 hour buffer between appointments. The person returning the equipment I reserved was 30 minutes late which meant I hat to wait.John G.

I was told to return the truck with a completely full tank. I drove the truck maybe 5-8 miles total and had to put $15 worth of gas.Ruby P.
My poor rate is due to the fact that we had booked a 20' truck and received an email that there would be one there for us on the morning of our move, moving to New York. We had to be out of our condo that day due to a closing the next day, no time to revise this situation. When we arrived at the location the best they could do was a 15'. With the result that we had to leave thousands of dollars worth of furniture an d items behind us that we could not fit in the 15'. I am not done with this yet. Owner checked me out and it was fast and painless. That she was on the phone with someone else was distracting, but she has a tough job and I understand the need. I was renting for the day and I was asked if I could have the U-Haul back at 3, 4, and 5pm which was strange, but again I understand they have a business to run and time is money.Major A.

I was charged for moving pads and never requested them. The counter rep told me he would remove them and email my final bill. I just received it and the moving pads were never taken off. Please correct and email me back at email@example.com. Furthermore, the truck was not maintained. Service light was on, and passenger door handle was barely hanging on.Jonathan S.

Pick up was quick and easy. Drove a trailer over 1200 miles in two days and trailer rode very nice and had no issues and was well maintained. When returning ,again customer service was wonderful. Quick and easy no contact. I would definitely use them again and recommend to any one.Tracy F.

The staff was exceptional and accommodating however after the mishap of a homeless person climbing out of the back of first truck the second ttruck I got into was so dirty thank goodness I had sanitize cleaner and a towel I clean the whole inside of the truck because I was already late meeting the movers who were waiting for me at the site and I knew I only had a certain amount of time available by the time I had to bring the truck back as I said the manager and assistant manager were very accommodating but on my original order I had ordered 12 Blankets a dolly and another kind of hauler for appliances but those were not put in the truck so I managed to get a dolly and six blankets all in all I know this facility is one of the best ones cause I've use that previously I would use that againSheryl C.

I was not informed about the online vehicle inspection. The lot attendant was rude. The vehicle beginning mileage was more than reported. I reported the mileage online when I saw the email. I was charged twice for the extra mileage that I didn't use. This was a terrible experience. Please refund the extra charge I shouldn't have been charged in the first place.Jeanne S.

The truck was filthy and smelled like cigarettes. I noted that when I picked up the truck on the paperwork. When returning it they wanted to charge me a $25 cleaning fee for something I picked up dirty. Very dirty. Tire air warning was on as well.EVERT V.

The milage wasn't correct on the truck, the gas was at 1/8 and they said it was at 1/4 tank. No one inspected the truck before renting it to me. There was a piece of metal, a large brown paper and a air plug left in the vehicle which I returned to the facility the same say. Never had a issue like this before. I said some to the front desk when I returned the truck at around 5pm on 10.28.2020.Mark B.

I return the truck after hours and was charged a service fee. I wasn't told about the fee if I dropped off the key in the box. The same time that you take to inform the customer about dropping off the key, you can also let them know to check out on their phones to avoid the service charge. The truck was blocked by trailers had to remove barricades and drive on side walk to get it out of the lot at 6 am . Also place didn't offer parking for my vÃ©hicule . Also fuel was on E , stuff didn't have a mask on and was approaching me I had to tell him to stay away .KAIES H.
The person who waited on me seemed poorly trained. When I requested a dolly, another staffer said they did not have any. I asked if he knew of another UHaul that might have one, he said no one has them and none would be coming soon. I asked why UHaul didn't have dollies, he said he couldn't give me what he didn't have. Clearly, that did not answer my question. Another problem was during the drive. The windshield wiper fluid didn't work. We purchased the fluid, thinking it was empty and in need of a refill; however, when we poured it into the container, it only took a small amount. It did not need the fluid, there must have been a blockage in the line that prevented the squirting of the fluid to clean the window. I thought UHaul checked these things during maintenance prior to a new rental. I mentioned this to the drop off location, so the repair can be made for the next customer.Rosemarie B.
