I was very impressed with the service today. The lot was very busy but the crew got me in and out fast. I was pleasantly surprised. Sharlotte and another gentleman that helped load my trailer were great.

This was the worst experience ever. We rented a truck for 24hrs only used for about 5hrs we ended up taking the “wrong truck” which literally was only one letter off from the one given with keys and everything ready for us. We then returned the truck and were accused of taking the truck 3,000miles which was literally impossible considering we drove the truck to palmetto to Bradenton and then right back to the store. We then were stuck trying to tell the guy it was impossible and it wasn’t us. We filled the tank more then needed. To put the icing on the cake I had to pick my car up from the shop and because of the serious inconvenience I was late to get my car ended up not being able to have a vehicle for THE ENTIRE WEEKEND. Causing me to spend over $100 in ubers. I’m so disappointed with this store and I rather get all this done in 5 pick up trucks then ever rent from this unprofessional business ever again.

The counter person talked way too fast and did not seem in anyway friendly or HELPFUL. Very poor with people. We had prearranged a 9:00 pickup, but it took about a half hour to get the vehicle and trailer. Upon return, another attendant brusquely told us to wait with the truck. 10 minutes later the original atttendant finally decided (after he had been by us twice) to tell us that since we paid with a credit card, we could leave.

Help outside was awesome, but there almost wasn't any room to drop off the rented trailer. I don't know if traffic control that told us to drop off at this location had a better alternative location with more room or not. I understand this is "the season" for FL drop-offs...

The store staff was extremely friendly, and was very helpful and definitely went over an beyond to help us and our experience. However, when trying to return the truck after hours the process was not easy. When I went to the website to return the truck, the access code they sent me wouldn't work after several attempts. When I got a text first thing in the morning I called Uhaul the main number to confirm I did drop off the truck. I then was on hold for 45 minutes, and after about a 20 minutes run around they literally told me I needed to call the store to verify the truck was turned in and we wouldn't be charged the $20 for not returning it through the uhaul.com/share. I just felt it was a lot of extra unneeded time spent on uhaul, while trying to move because their system wasn't working properly.

In short, the manager there was short and not accommodating at all. I fully understand that it was 15 minutes before closing on saturday the 28th but im sure this happens quite often being a Saturday night. He was not welcoming and has no couth. Being a manager of a verizon store for over 6 years, i always made the customer feel welcomed and appreciated for their business. This was not the case during my visit! When there was no 10 foot box trucks left i asked if i can get the next one up (i believe 15foot) for same price. All the manager kept saying was "nope not happening". No empathy? Never in my life have i ever said that to any customer i encountered and could not accommodate them! I honestly do not know how this guy is even a manager. I very rarely write these surveys, but this couldn't go unnoticed. Someone needs to know about this. No, "i am sorry sir i can not do that for you"...only response he gave was "nope, not happening". I even recall at another uhaul location few years ago, when they didnt have a smaller truck in stock, they upgraded me for same price! I never look for something for free! Unless policies have changed since. It was not my fault they were sold out of the truck i needed. So i basically had to settle for a cargo van! This review probably won't do anything, but like i said i dont know how this man is even the manager. Several people even walked in AFTER i did at 645pm. Lastly, when i asked a question about declining insurance on the pinpad, after already declining insurance prior on the computer, he got rude and said I'm here to explain on how to move along with the process, not sell you anything. Like really?! Where is this dudes customer service skills? I wanted to fully understand what i was "declining" a second time on the small pinpad. Sorry for not understanding and being thorough. Even though this location is close to my house i will travel extra 15 to 30 minutes to go to a different location.

Pick up was more difficult than expected. It requires verification that I was not prepared for. I had to have the system call someone at 0630 am, or call my employer which was closed, or have my passport which I don’t carry with me. The check engine light was on and the truck smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Also, I ordered a dolly which was not in the truck. Other than that everything was as expected and the truck performed its job.

I used an 24/7 pickup this time. I was scheduled to pick up at 8:30am. I was following the instructions on my phone and everything was fine until I reached to retrieve a key. The instruction gave me a wrong compartment code so I could not retrieve. I found out it was wrong because I ran into one of the staffs and asked for a help. I even called for the assistance but it was never answered. The staff apologized to me but who really made this mistake? I wasted at least 20 minutes there. Also, I asked for an utility dolly and it was not inside. That was another thing I asked for the staff. Check in was not smooth.

The current drawback is the building going up next door. It makes getting equipment in and out a real pain. Unnecessary time spent on property.

The truck needs to be retired. The seat is patched and recovered. Excessive play in the steering wheel due to misalignment. 118k miles plus. Not safe for the road. I was charged for gas which I made sure was replenished. I'll be sure to add uhaul to my list of dishonest businesses.

1 person checking in people with 7 people waiting! 45 minutes to pick up a dolly. Check out was good. Long line but the 1 clerk saw me bring in the dolly and said - is that it then said if i paid with a card I could give him my paperwork and he would check me in when it is not busy so I could leave.

The employees are great!!! The lot is way to small for the amount of business done there. Very few parking spaces if you need to leave your vehicle. Hard to tell where to pull in for parking.

Overall, the staff I dealt with at all locations were helpful and friendly. I did however have a very frustrating experience trying to return my one way rental. I called the corporate 800 number as instructed to verify where to return my 5x8 trailer. They sent me to a location that could not take the trailer. I spent 30 minutes there with a very friendly manger who called U-Haul corporate and sent me to a 2nd location for drop off. When I arrived I was told they could not take my trailer either. The manager was very friendly and called U-Haul corporate who then sent me to a 3rd location. I was eventually able to return my trailer but it was a total waste of time and very frustrating. The locations and staff are great, corporate needs to learn how to run a business in 2019!

Get a bigger fucking parking lot so when I bring my truck back and can't park it where you want me too... I don't have some guy fucking calling me and bitching at me trying to talk to me like I am stupid. This dumb fuck is gonna ask, "Where are the keys?" I don't know man, how about you check your KEY DROP OFF BOX you fucking idiot. Don't be rude to your customers because your parking lot is shit and they have to put the truck where they can. NEVER using your location again.

A challenging location to drop off a 26’ truck with tow dolly. Also the drop off was way out of my way. Wasted 2 hours dropping. Very disappointing

I was charged over $100 in fraudulent fees. We used the app to take pictures and return the truck, but was still charging cleaning, late, double used for dolly and insurance and one day rental I was charged 199.04 with only 24 miles used. I want a refund for those extra charges.

The place is way to Small for the size of Inventory.. (lot) The place outside is so busy and so small that it’s an accident waiting to happen if someone does not get hit or ran over!! Especially little kids walking around with their parents.. and If not a parent..

We had 1 ubox that was not strapped to the trailer and was missing the ramp. We were blamed for them being missing. Another ubox had the cover on backwards so we had to improvise to get the door open.

I do not know the condition of the location, I did not go there. My boxes went to the incorrect location though! I would have had to pay additional mileage if the mover wouldn’t have been so helpful.
