The facility was fine. Our entire experience e working with uhaul was terrible. Sorry. I booked the installation.months in advance (the earliest I could get in() ar another location and when I showed up (after taking time off of work), was told that the person who did the installations quit a few days earlier. That is understandable, but ther was Jno notice given to me at all. I so j rebooked at this location. Bc of said experienxe, k wanted reassurance that nkthjbg else would go wrong. The manager was very kind snd made sure we were taken care of well. Still, my overall experience with Uhaul had been unsatisfactory

The staff were unhelpful and uncommunicative. I had to go to this location on 6 separate occasions because they were totally inaccessible by telephone, even though the staff there indicated that they would call me with updates which they never did. They put the wrong ball hitch on my equipment causing it hang just an inch or two above the road surface and probably caused damage to the roads and definitely caused damage to the wiring. This wiring damage caused us to have to contact roadside assistance for repairs and make an unexpected stop. We were also driving without indicator lights during the period of time between damage and maintenance. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional, I would never go to this location again or recommend it to anyone.

The hitch that I ordered was not available by the date that I has scheduled to have it installed but no one from the location called to tell me before I showed up. They said they would call me the next day with more information and would give a discount for the inconvenience but never did either. I called the main U-Haul help line to try to get more information on when I could get the hitch on my car since I was suppose to have a trailer rental and moving the following week. They tried to get ahold of the location multiple times and couldn't and the manager was asked to call me and they never did. Finally just went again in person as they main help line said it looked like my parts were in but no one could get ahold of them. When I got there they still said they were missing the wiring and couldn't install it. I went back a third time and they finally installed a hitch but damaged the socket in the taillight that I had to take to the shop to be replaced and the blinker and break lights so longer worked.

Extremely frustrating that my original pickup was Allston and I was forced to go to Brighton — when I reserved my Allston spot the U-Haul website promised “reservation guaranteed or we pay you $50”. Well, my reservation was not guaranteed — not at Allston anyway, so I had to go to Brighton. Please give me $50 now.

On Sep 16th, I picked up a van I ordered online and while the customer service at the location was friendly I was surprised to see that the gas tank was not full but only 3/4 full. Upon return I filled up gas to return the car as I received it with a 3/4 tank full but was very surprized and frankly disappointed to see see that they have charged me for gas.

The website didn't let me load the page to upload my driver's license when I was trying to pick up the van, leading to spending 10-20 minutes longer trying to figure out why the https://uhaul.com website would load on my phone but the page I was sent by the clerk didn't. Very frustrating and disappointing. Also, the links being sent in emails and texts are http:// instead of https://. Please improve the security of your services.

The truck I rented ran well ! The only thing I didn't like is that it wasn't clean when I picked it up ! I ended up having to clean the inside of the Windows and the steering wheel was sticky ! Other than those things the truck ran perfectly !

I was able to make a 6 am reservation online and that was confirmed over the phone the day before by CS. We showed up at 6:15 am to find no access to the rental we had made. The man that was organizing the trucks was extremely rude and was doing a terrible and careless job of parking the trucks. I witnessed him driving the trucks and having them hit other trucks in the lot and just banging up the mirrors. It was appalling. I really hope I never have to visit this location again.

Check vehicle return so I am not charged late fees. I returned the vehicle on time, yet had to spend hours getting a refund. The employees were lethargic and didn't seem to care about promptness or care.

Overcharged for gas and miliage. I took pictures of odometer and gas guage. No call back from customer service. If you wan't to rent, you get quick service. After you pay, you're a lost soul to You Haul. Some how you're still in business.

The service was not only rude but aggressive. We didn't know how to return the car and the representative was demeaning, treating us as if we were stupid. He then turned and walked away, while we scramble to understand what to do. It was without a question the worst customer experience I ever had.

I booked 8 months in advance and UHaul still managed to screw up. They sent me to 4 different pick up locations. I spent $100 on multiple Ubers. When I finally got the truck there were no blankets despite my pre order and the truck was a bomb. So noisy. Engine warning light. Brake warning light. UHaul = Useless.

Pick up line was slow. Location needs more staff this time of year. Was given keys to a van that was parked behind another two. You can imagine how long it took to find it and then get a staff member to move the other vans. Van was in good condition, but dirty. Drop off went smoothly. I would not use this location again

Employees present as standoffish and rude before conversations even begin. Equipment was not great, the door to the back had to be forced open and closed each time, gas gauge was broken, etc. On top of all of that, they thought my truck was not returned when it had been sitting in the lot for a day. Not a great place for rentals.

Hi,  My yesterday's U-haul experience was terrible. I had booked a 15' truck at 240 N Beacon St, Boston 02135 location for 4:00 PM. I checked with the scheduling office and they told me that I could pick up the truck by 3:30. I reached the U-haul center at 3:30 and there was no truck. The team member there tried to contact one of the trucks that were out and said they will be back in 37 mins. He also tried to check availability in the nearby locations while I was waiting outside. After a few mins he called me and said there is availability at a different location. I asked him for the exact address so that I can check if it is too far or if it is better for me to wait at the same place. Instead of sending the location, he actually changed my booking to the new location and send me a message. But it was too far and I went back to the desk and he was like "I already changed your booking, now you should go there only". I told him that I hadn't confirmed the change, he called the scheduling office and changed back my reservation to the same location for 4:30. He wasn't very pleased with it and was acting a bit ignorant/rude (not polite anymore). Still, I waited for another 30 mins, asked him again at 4:30 to check where is the truck. He called them and said it is still 15 mins away. I waited till 5 and found no truck! Finally, asked him for any other truck available and I had to compromise with a 10' truck from the same location. When I went to take the truck there was also another one parked next to it, which was bigger (DC 2025 F) but I don't know if it was a 15' one or not. Anyway I took the 10' truck (TM2166H) and left. By this time, I had wasted my 1.5 hrs already at the location and I was late for my pick up from storage space, that too with a smaller truck. So I had to take double trips and then also leave a few things that I wanted to take to my place. My running time and mileage got doubled and I had to also use roads with tolls. Still, I had to leave a few things because there was not enough space in the truck and I didn't have enough time to get back for a third trip. If I had got what I booked at the right time, I would have been done with my moving by almost 7 in the evening, and yesterday I finished by 11:30. Further, I had to book another vehicle to move the remaining stuff today. I had a taken half day off from work believing your scheduling office response of 3:30 pick up and I wasted my whole evening doing only half of my moving. I understand that this week is very busy with many people moving, but what I experienced yesterday (late and different equipment reception, not-so-polite behavior from the staff, loss of time, additional mileage, and loss due to not being able to move my complete stuff) is completely unacceptable and I request you to have a look into this matter and do something to compensate for my losses as well as ensure such an experience should not happen to your next customer. It would seem like this location would need to open earlier than 9 AM of a Sunday (8/28/22)of college moving weekend. there were 15 people in front of me in line at 9 AM and the line did not move very quickly. I was in line for almost a full hour. When I finally got my truck rental, I realized that the driver's side rearview mirror was cracked and broken with missing pieces and reported to the desk to get a replacement truck. My customer service representative told me that was the best we can do. I told her that they were asking me to drive an unsafe vehicle and she said to just not use the mirror. I asked for a replacement truck as there were many in the lot but she refused and said take it or leave it. I was stunned that U haul has adopted such a cavalier attitude towards safety and that your representative was not interested in a satisfactory solution.

Express check out did not help, as there was a long line in front of me. No dolly, as they are apparently 'dependent on availability ', although I had made my reservation over 2 months ago- Manager told me I can check other uhal locations, he didn't know what I thought he could do about it (like put another new one in the pool)? Finally, realized that the right/rear turn signal was not working, so I was given a street-illegal truck. Told they open at 7, yet when I dropped off on Sunday they open at 9 (they knew my drop-off day was a sunday.) Now I dread what they will invent once they 'review ' the truck. Overall, thank God most of us only rent every few years, as this customer service experience will take a while to wear off.

The equipment we received did not work. After receiving the truck, we got it home and opened the back gate and started filling the truck for our move. About an hour in, we went to close the back door and it did not close and was inoperable. We called roadside assistance and waited for them to come for 6 hours. Once they got there, they told us that it took so long because no other attendants wanted to assist us. Additionally, they said our truck was not fixable so after waiting all that time and filling our truck, we had to unload the truck, quickly rush over to the U-Haul location to get a new truck and return to fill all of our contents back into the truck. On the hottest day of the summer to date (97F). The break caused such a delay in our schedule, that we were unable to get to our next location (8hrs away) the following day and missed getting our keys for our new apartment. Although the individuals who worked here were helpful, the break was missed when we were given the truck and caused a major headache and stress for us.

I eas not treated like a customer. The front glass of the van was broken and I asked if this should be a problem with the police and the answer was “unless you will do something illegal” in a very stupid way. When I came back with the van and with 10 boxes that I bought there 100% guaranteed U-Haul buy back, the attendees and their boss said “no we don't buy back”. So, my experience was not good at all. I'm surprise how the need of a van made me still rent from you guys!
