The truck had TERRIBLE gas mileage less than 8 MPG driving responsibly. I just wish I had know this in advance.

The guy we was at counter was so rude and looked unhappy to be there. When told him the truck he gave us smelled like urine, he was argumentative and annoyed we'd even mention it. ‘It doesn't smell like PISS to me!' WHO says that to a customer?! Placed us on another truck only 45 mins later! It was terrible experience! One does not go to a business to be treated poorly! Never will go back to that location!
James O.We were not able to check in via app. We had to wait in the office so long to get us checked in. We were told that the dolly we reserved was no longer available. We were asked the same questions i filled out during the reservation process which was waste of time.

I made the reservation well over a month in advance and even stopped in at the location the day before to reconfirm-all good-But no truck when we needed it. I will be going elsewhere. The cost of the trailer was more than what I was quoted when I made the reservation a few weeks ago. Overall, it was not a good experience.

Erin M.24/7 pickup was not available, so I had to wait an additional 1.5h to pick up the truck. The reason given was "We're still getting used to the system." I was out extra $$ for movers that arrived at my hose at the pre-planned time. The site location did later reimburse me a a standard $50 "reservation guarantee", but that is all. The two employees assisting me at the time of pickup were relatively uncommunicative and seemed apathetic to the fact that they had failed to correctly set up a 24/7 pickup and the impact it had on my move.

Bridgette C.I don't usually like to complain. This location is always very busy. I use it often because they are in a convenient location. I have learned it helps to check-in online and the Customer Service Reps are thankful. However, I have rented 2- 15' trucks in the last two weeks. Neither of the vehicles were cleaned thoroughly before my rental (food debris and trash). I was less concerned about that than the condition of both vehicles. Both vehicles needed service badly. The first truck rattled, shook and puttered. It sounded as if the muffler was about to fall off the truck. The second truck had a crack in the windshield and a chunk of the right rear tire was torn. It was still drivable and it did what we needed to do, but I was a nervous wreck driving it on the highway. Because they no longer walk around the truck with you for an inspection or give you any paperwork alerting you to the damage- I wasn't aware of the tire and windshield until the truck was being loaded and at that point it was too late to return because we had an event we need to get to with the the stuff in the truck. I wasn't even informed of the gas level at the last rental. Thank goodness I thought to take a picture of the gas gauge and mileage before pulling off the lot.

Sergio Andres A.The uhaul cost me more than I was quoted online, I called the day I was meant to pick up because I was running late and wanted to see if I could do self pick up after closing time. An employee told me I COULD and he said it would be no issue as I was the only one who had reserved a 20' truck and it couldn't be given away. When I arrived after closing time I was not able to pick up the truck and corporate could not help me saying that the Brighton location doesn't even have 24/7 pick up as an option and I had to come back the next morning. I had already taken a Lyft to the uhaul location, waited for an hour trying to figure it out over the phone and was shivering the whole time because it was 40 degrees outside!! I spent $85 on Lyfts because I had to take another back to my hotel and then back to the uhaul location in the morning. Then the employee at the counter in the morning tried to charge me over $100 more than what I had been told the rental would be!!! And he said that someone rented the truck that as ready for 24/7 pick up right before closing the evening before….even though I called and said I was coming for my reservation literally five minutes before closing. Overall horrible experience and I will never be using uhaul again.
Kimberly S.Vehicle came with 1/8th tank of gas and weak battery that died in front of the residence I was moving from. I had to keep the vehicle running from that point forward which included the vehicle running in the indoor storage facility at Cambridge. I was told over the phone by reps from this location that the 10 foot van came with a ramp. It did not and made loading the truck much more difficult. I will never rent or refer a rental from here again

I parked my car in one of the 4 parking spots for customers then when I returned the rental van and walked to take my car and go home found out that my car was blocked with another uhaul truck parked behind my car. It was after office hours and I called customer service they couldn't help me. Had to stay in my car till the next day because my house was far away from their location.

Stephanie L.I was given a truck which had a cracked windshield. The U-Haul employee said it is drivable and damage is noted in vehicle notes. The crack lengthened while driving on interstate and forced me to drive at a reduced speed.

Though I had seen Northampton MA as a drop off location on the web the otherwise helpful woman who helped book my order over the phone said the closest dropoff option was Holyoke. When I got to Northmapton, I discovered there WAS a drop off there……Telephone customer service was UNHELPFUL at first. When I called to find out if I could switch locations, I was told I could, but there may be a change fee….and it was impossible for him to tell me what it would be, or what an estimate would be or what the range for possible prices might be. He only would say it was priced to discourage people from switching, but I had to go personally to the desired site, only THEY could calculate the rate on the their computer……..I told him I had wanted to go to Northampton but the woman on the phone from Uhaul said my only option was Holyoke. It was a very unsatisfactory telephone call.
nancy G.They just hand you the keys without even checking the truck if it works or have any issues. I had to change 2 times before I could get a working truck. They should make sure all truck are in working condition. The first truck engine light was on. Second truck didn't even start. Waste almost 1hr.
